The volcanic peak can only be visited by scientists
California has also got varied climate[not that kind of wild life as India] but it is the people ,culture and history which makes it different and also affordability. India herself seems to be talking to you.
@@truthteller2991 Mangrove forest? Rain forest? tropical islands in California? Jungles with tiger, elephants, desert with camels?
However, it doesn't have any Northern Lights ...
Because like China, it is a big country mate
It's amazing how friendly the dogs are. The humans must have treated them well.
Wondering who feeds them 🤔
most animals are gentle . unless in pain
AND THE CATS TOO. 😂 🤣 😂
When I was in Peru locals told me the friendly dogs remain, lots of dogs around lots of mountain cities. Any hostile dogs are generaly delt with quick buy locals.
The complete look of pure innocence and love in that little fellows face was so embracing. Love and Peace be with you Gabe and as well as that animals you come encounter with. 💙☮️
Background music throughout the video was very well done!
Great, glad to hear it. Some of my favorite tunes, which I've used before but hopefully people aren't too tired of hearing them yet.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Not at all Gabe :D
Gabriel, as soon as you started running, you felt the effect of elevation. Take it easy, Anything and everything has to be done slowly at high elevations. Please carry one or two small oxygen cylinders available in Leh. They don't cost much, helps to feel better when you feel oxygen shortage
One of your best vlogs.
In an unforgiving landscape, the prayer flags bring warmth and everything-will-be-okay vibes.
Monastery was mystical, surprising no one was around.
Every time I watch a video about Ladakh, I wonder what it takes to live there year after year, in such silence and such harsh climate.
The starkness of the area is stunning.
And the quote.. your adventure is our daily routine... Respect for the residents of the area.
“Will we see anybody? There’s somebody..” 😁😁😁✌🏻
I’ve been following your channel since around 2017 and have watched hundreds and hundreds of your videos. That being said, I’ve never felt so “moved” by a travel video before. This is arguably the BEST video on this channel. I’ll be watching this one another 100 times at least.
Excellent, glad to hear it. 😊
Thank you for this adventure of a lifetime. It is incredible. I agree with you that the view is surrealistic! The silence around the monastery is surprising. You are a perfect traveller and you know how to take care, how to dress youself etcetera. I like the diversity of India.
thank you for showing us this incredible part of India, such a beautiful land
That walking around perched perimeters freaks me out.
Gabriel, I will repeat some of the comments below. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures, WOW. Your videos show how much you enjoy India and the surrounding areas. I look forward to your next video. Thanks
Wow…just breathtaking. You scare me sometimes walking on the edge of nowhere but always entertained. What an adventure!
incredible India, indeed!😍
I am disabled from a work accident and can’t walk far. I find your videos fascinating. Wish I was able to experience this myself. I Enjoy the adventure through your videos.
Amazing filming Gabriel, looks like your on top of the world and viewers are with you. Cheers 🍻
Lifelong curiosity is an amazing gift. Bravo for holding on to the wonder!
8:26 I'm screaming through my screen to Gabe, DON'T RUN!! Its too high, take it slow there!!!! But what do u know, he kept running at Khardung La 🤣
very good video, felt very happy after seeing the Valley and the Buddhist temples. especially the "The wheel of Life" painting. Thank you very much. Viraj, Andhra Pradesh
Close to K2 closer than Manali.I feel sorry for that german man i am german too and I went to KardungLa on Motobike and could hardly speak or walk around cuz no O2.was just mumbling. From there driving down to Kanyakumari and up again to West Bengal. Great times 2001 on Hero Honda CBZ
I have been at 14000ft before and that altitude kick my a$$ i couldn't imagine being at 17000ft congrats my friend on your adventure
Ladakh, India landscape is one of the best on earth, but hardly the world knows this part of incredible India. Loved this vlog. It didn't feel 40 mins long at all.
Incredible Rusty, Rugged Himalayas! Amazing views all around. Kudos to you for showing Incredible India. For very long KhardungLa stays as the highest motorable point but I guess they built higher than that close by. Appreciating your Superb work & effort.
Well done.
One of your best videos bro, great music, good editing, beautiful sights and epic adventure.
At the last sign in blue at the bottom, it says, " Your adventure is our daily routine." It is difficult to understand what life is like there with few days, but it is beautiful.
With hardly any tourists at this time of the year the place feels surreal. The quiet and the peace of these stunning mountains is soulful.
Thanks for taking us there. Very surreal and peaceful. I've had a stressful few months. This helped. Thanks again.
Umling La is now the highest motorable pass, it has been opened for the foreigners now.
Gabe, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time. You do a great job showing me some places that I really want to travel to and some places that I’ve figured out that I’m just way to old to even consider. Keep up the good work. Safe travels!
Me too!
@@LAbee333 Me three!
only you can do these kinda videos gab..thx alot.we really appreciate it..
Amazing place 🙏 beautiful colorful buildings, that feeling of been on top of the world 😍 the highest elevation i have been was 11,114 feet 🚶♀️ Colorado, USA
Thank you for showing us places which most of us wont reach
Hi Gabriel, I've been following your channel ( probably since when you first posted years ago ), but never posted any comments.
Thank you for posting and your great effort sharing your beautiful videos with the world. I have been to most of these places in India, which you have visited.
Thank you again Gabriel. Super interesting and informative videos. 🌈☮️🙏👍👍❤️
Hi Gabriel, that was an incredible journey driving through the Himalayas. There isn't a great to see but the mountains are spectacular. Since you have been there, I have noticed no high winds which would make that trip exceedingly difficult but under these conditions, it makes things much easier to get around it's near zero temperatures you're stripping off layers of clothing strange conditions. Usually in higher elevations, wind becomes a problem for moving around you can run into blizzard-like conditions.
Gabriel seems to be running on high altitude ..! That cliff was dangerous..should be careful.
Wonderful video, Gabriel. What magical memories you are making. Fortune favours the brave. Thanks for sharing your epic adventure and Santana at the end. Cool
🎶✨🌟🪇🙂
Gabe the landscape in the Nubra valley is surreal. The kind of landscape for a Star Wars Rebel Base or Imperial Base. Next time you're back up that way and feel the elevation hitting you, play the U2 song ''Elevation''. Very quiet town there where the Diskit Monastery is located. As you said probably due to the winter season setting in. You're a tough guy bearing that super cold weather because I sure as heck stay away from it. Spring like weather is what I'm down with. That was a cool doggy reception you got by 5 of 'em.
You should go to changthang plateau, hanle observatory, umlingla , pangong tso, tso kar areas. At hanle observatory you can do star gazing and the night sky is out of this world
The extreme huge scale of the nubie valley and the 'no people in sight'.. reminds me of greenland.. without green..thanks gabriel..for another literally' a great' landscape experience that resonates deeply in my body ..
And please take care..
I’ve seen a lot of Gabe’s travel videos over the years. This one is a standout. What a different world out there.
Beautiful stark scenery! At that elevation you have around 50% of the available oxygen to breathe in, must be difficult alright.
The enormity of that area is hard to comprehend. Miles and miles and miles of nothing but mountains, mostly untouched by humans. Almost like you're on the moon.
Holy moly, stunning😮😮😮! Thank you👏👏👏, take care❤️❤️❤️
You missed lot of beautiful places in ladakh, try riding bike and explore whole area. Visit pangong lake.
Gabriel I'm total sucker for the Himalayas and a long time traveler to this part of the world. You're really doing a great job. Thank you.
Looks like a peaceful place
I remember that massive bhudha statue there. Pretty cool monestary.
This place is just magical! The temple at the end 😍 wow! Even more magical that you had the whole place to yourself!!
Gabriel, you are really at the top of the world once again. It must be exhilarating and difficult at those elevations. Stay safe.
Wow Gabriel what a great place you visited
*Keep 'em coming Gabe!*
great video dude, was there last May for a week mainly same places... Mind blowing all together
Incredible. Thank you Gabriel.
Beautiful
The road trips either by hired car or tour always deliver the best vlogs on this channel!
A few good spots with potential for a Krusty Burger restaurant around there. All jokes aside the video was highly enjoyable. Well done. 🙏
Speechless❤
Hope you feel better Gabe ......your voice is different ...........video and scenery are amazing
Better now that I'm in the desert. 😎
@@israr144 Exactly. I'm in a warmer desert now, in Rajasthan.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Well i doubt you can escape chilly nights. Rajasthani thali would be a great Mukbang for viewers[ dal, bati, churma, and gatte ki sabzi] They have unlimited thalis also with little price difference. I used to have regularly that when I was in Jaipur . There are many near Bus stand. But almost everywhere you will have Rajasthan thali. It is different from other places.
PS: Konark Temple-> Andamans (I dont know if you plans for that )
Awesome scenery
Truly a unique place.
Stunning footage. Thanks, Gabe.
Great episode Gabe. Thx for braving the high elevations, it's far more than most could handle!
👏 👏 that scenery is like something from a movie,
There very few people around in that part of India and those dogs were so friendly
Love the sounds and background music...very tasteful ❤❤❤
You inspired me to start my traveling journey. Thanks Gabriel for your off the beaten track travels. 🙂
👍👍👍
@22:14 The third language at the bottom is Kannada from the South Indian state of Karnataka. There is a huge buddhist settlement in the town of Bylakuppe in that state.
Gabe that pass and the mountains are beyond belief
Very well made video 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
What an amazing place the diversity of beautiful India 🇮🇳🧡🤍💚
Been following you for sometime Gabriel and was delighted you ran into Sean king ( vlogging a dead horse ) whats the chances anyway keep up the good work and thanks for all the hours of information and entertainment over the years . namaste
Wow some classics from the Gabriel Traveler soundtrack here. Sure hits that nostalgia!
Gabriel I think you’d like the topic of Dzogchen and the Rainbow Body. It’s a practice of Tibetan Buddhism where practitioners transform into light at the moment of death for accomplished practitioners. The sacred temples you visit are calling you.
You capture the stillness and serenity of the mountains, as well as the hustle and bustle of the everyday commerce life that goes on in the valleys and villages. As well as the breathtaking views that make this region so unique.
What an amazing adventure! This is a great video!
Watch your health
Just another amazing journey ❤
I like that the tours are free roam , you get to walk around unhindered. Was wondering why the homes have flat roofs, no pitch, with all the snow there.
Thanks l always wanted to go to Ladakh but never did, l did the Annapurna basecamp and this took me back to above the tree line majestic starkness.
Thank you Gabriel, what an epic journey you took us on ! Wow ! I feel exhausted just watching you explore. Thanks for the experience , what an inspiring world we Live in , I hope that we. Take more care looking after it. 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Gabe Amazing!
🙌🙌🙌🙌 Another great vlog.
Wow. Well done Gabriel. One of your best videos. What an amazing part of the world.
Long underwear getting shoutout in every video.
Superb video.as people say felt like I was right back in Tibet.never been to Ladakh but it looks similar.adore the blue skies and ochre colored rocks.
Amazing, beautiful, able to see thru your eyes via camera footage you show, otherwise we would never know.
Awesome clip, congrats!
Wow you sure get to some amazing places. We will have to call you Gabe, the mountain goat 😊
A beautiful trip and amazing views! Thank you!
The 12 links of dependent origination represent all our lives from conception to death which is represented by the god Yama holding the wheel of life in his teeth. At our time of dying we are reborn in one of the 6 realms and the cycle of samsara starts all over again…
17:50 oh my box what a music 😂
Be careful Gabriel ❤
Khardung la is not the highest motorable pass.
That is Umling la 19300 ft , also in Ladakh.
Correct. See the note at 4:25 in the video.
Amazing adventure!
Wow!!!! Looks better version of planet Mars.
Thank you Gabriel . It is a wonderful place . Just as good if not better than the last time you were there.
Awesome filming, Gabriel! Man, u got a real way of showing our beautiful UT of Ladakh...many tourism authorities can't do that! Kudos...and with that handheld gopro!! What about getting a head camera? Would that be more convenient fr you? Watching fr Delhi...best ✌
such an epically great journey!!!
very nice and amazing view so refreshing away from busy city...luv to be there for a while. Thanks Gab for showing this kind of place.
Nicely done!! Thank you..
Thank you
