    Thanks for videos!
    From Phil in Michigan
    (Note: If a chainsaw chain touches dirt while running it gets dull in a few seconds and will need to be sharpened. A dull chain produces dust like chips and sharp chain chisels out large chips).
    Chains should be filled sharp every day of operation. Hand file them or use a Dremel tool chain saw stone bit or there are inexpensive (less than $50) chain sharpening machines. You can get replacement chains for $10 - $20 each.

    That’s some pretty big log. I’ve got several of them I gotta get to as well; however my plan is to cut them in half first. It would make it easier. You can always look into the ripping chain but a regular chain would also cut it with no problem.

    Maybe you should buy a few IBC containers to store the wood - you can use the top part as a lid. It would also be best to have a suitable fork to unload the containers. But until then, this would be an option that looks good and still protects the wood from moisture.

    Do you think the splitter attachment would be better than the stand alone one you have? It seems like you’d lose lots of versatility by having a splitter attachment on the Sm100. Do you think it would be aggravating switching attachments back and forth (forks, trailer hitch, splitter)?

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  17 годин тому

      The splitter attachment is nice because it can crack big rounds in half, but no way it would be better than a stand-alone log splitter

    You did good today my friend but if you split are cut wood to be split will save time you got you a good splitter so the people that wanted to buy it I would keep it cause you know what you have and if ever going to sell it make sure you can get another one like it are bigger and at what cost to you you still need a table for when breaking the logs down are like I did have a flat one and split it up and put pieces on the one on the ground to save your back better to pick up from half way than the full length off the ground chunk the pieces and set on them but remember if have time do a little bit every chance you get cause the people burn wood in fire pit and it's oak so maybe smoking try some you will like it but a good video my friend keep it up and if slow split wood cause you found you do have a market for it the pallets work just fine so be waiting for next video my friend just a few things I did when splitting firewood to make it easier and save your back thanks again

    If you want to cut big hardwood fast get yourself a 395xp with a 28”-32” bar… it will not disappoint BUT they are very thirsty saws.

    looking at that machian split wood i dont think its a 28 ton machian is there a way you can get it checked i would say its about 15 ton some companies lie especially if the hydraulics where made in china lets face it who would know unless you work with heavy loads an equipment there must be a gauge you can hire just imagine the pressure of 28 tones of concrete rock sand on a log i have seen your machian struggle with some of that oak ,,,,,at 25.28 mins,,,,, and 28 tons should go through that like a hot knife through butter no log should stop that machian even if it has knots good luck cool vids
