I am sure you have gotten an answer on this by now but just in case, I just bought a 2023 corolla LE and it has wireless android auto so I am sure the SE trim has it. I had trouble at first and I am not sure as others were helping me at the same time but I think you first need to get android auto running with a USB cable plugged into the dash. (All the other ports are charge only). There might have been a wrong setting to begin with but after I got it working I was able to switch back and forth between the Toyota software and AA without using the USB cable.

I am pressing enable AA and the the car does not enable it. Bluetooth fubction is working as you show. When I plug the phone with the usb cable the Android auto starting and is enabled
same on '24 rav. xda forums say the issue is with the separated BT/AA service - since AA requires BT 'handshake' - this is somewhat not happening with new Toyota's multimedia. Lots of information that I have seen points to the idea that the phone has to be wifi capable in order to connect wirelessly to your phone through android auto. Other manufacturer's require you to pay a monthly subscription to enable the wifi. Once you received your vehicle, were you able to connect wirelessly to your vehicle using android auto? (some manufacturer's even offer a 1 year of the subscription free so it may be hard to tell if it works without.)
Android auto pulls from your data for the info it shows. You can try airplane mode but I dont know if it will work in airplane mode and you would not be able to make or receive calls in airplane mode

I love my 2023 Corolla Hybrid, but Android Auto is laggy and will often distort my music, I assume due to a poor wifi connection. The infotainment system will also start rebooting over and over for no apparent reason.
@Steven Welch When it is plugged in the music still lags sometimes but not as badly. The whole reboot weirdness happened twice, both times my phone was plugged in.

I've been looking at the Motorala MA1 wireless adapter, amazon has it & so does best buy. Seems like this will be the one i am grabbing. Unless i grab a fast usb to type c cable and leave the now remaining empty type C slot available for my front passenger. Currently using the type c on arm rest for passenger and the type c next to usb for my phone charging. The usb to fast type c cable will charge and allow android auto.

From my experience, you need to connect a USB cable between the phone with the data port or buy a wireless adapter for Android Auto

there is no trial on the lower levels of the rav4. they charge $16 per mpnth from day 1 for drive connect. Apple CarPlay and android auto is free

@Conversationz with Keke looks like usb connection is the only answer to our problem whether it be wired or wireless activation to android auto. I've been looking at the Motorala MA1 wireless adapter, amazon has it & so does best buy. Seems like this will be the one i am grabbing. Unless i grab a fast usb to type c cable and leave the now remaining empty type C slot available for my front passenger. Currently using the type c on arm rest for passenger and the type c next to usb for my phone charging. The usb to fast type c cable will charge and allow android auto.
