T Tommy buggin' Lester with that stogie😂😂😂😂
I swear, older commercials are always better
That little strum at 39 seconds 😊
The bass player has a really nice voice. I wish he would sing more often
19:20 Looks like a nice song book , i'm gonna send my 1 dollar and 4cent stamp and get that
Goodness gracious it’s good. 😊
2025 will mark 100 years of the Grand Ole Opry and the old black-and-white video of the Old Time country music and the old bluegrass music music the music can't be beat of the old country music and bluegrass
Imagine if there was a band that played and sang like this now. They'd be a sensation.
Back at that time it wasn’t called bluegrass it was called country music the title bluegrass didn’t come around til later
Good to know
Nice to go back at a time of pure bluegrass music.
Beautiful
Lester is a great bulegrass song leader Goodness Grace's he is good 👍❤🎼🎵🎶😊
Gracious
Finding this on the internet is amazing!
Everyone is at the top of their game. Earl makes it look easy. What a band! I'm glad I saw The Earl Scruggs Revue several times. Thanks!
Hyo. Brown is a high song singer ❤🎼🎵🎶💞
would love to have been there.
I grew up with country ..music
I am a huge bluegrass fan as well as an intermediate banjo player and I am inspired by the bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs. What I have noticed one thing apart from his excellent style of picking is that his facial expressions...yeah it's a bit crazy! You'll see every time after he smiles he will always go back to his original stable facial expression which I find it so much humble down to earth and a wonderful gentleman he is. His introductory words "Thank you, Thank you very much" which melts me so much! Love him!!!

I am amazed at how accomplished both Earl Scruggs and Josh Graves were at that time in their lives. They were both exploring new territory with their chosen instruments. No one was teaching them. They were coming up with all of it. And sometimes you get a taste of Lester Flatt's musicianship when he plays a background acoustic blues tune while Josh is reading the "hello's".
Earl credited Snuffy Jenkins as having been a great influence on his banjo style.
I love this kind of music. It's mostly upbeat and down to earth, no matter what the song is about.
SHAME THERE IS NO LONGER GOOD MUSIC LIKE THIS. NOW LOTS CRAP.
Flatt & Scruggs nothing beats the sound of the old country music this is the real thing right here the real old-time country music
beautiful music
Thought about sending a dollar and a stamp to that address for a songbook just to see what happens.
I've been watching these and I looked on ebay and made an offer on song book #1.
And me ,with some of those recipes as well!
Good luck finding a 4¢ stamp!
This just some fine music and wholesome entertainment it don’t get better
❤love it so much❤❤❤❤❤
Stone Wall All Around Your Heart
Now I’m so broken hearted I don’t know what to do
I passed you today on the street
And you treated me like a stranger that you never knew
It’s the same every time we meet
You built a stone wall all around your heart
Though my arms ache to hold you as before
You built a stone wall all around your heart
You won’t let me love you anymore
How have I hurt you darling why won’t you say
What have I done to you
For I still worship you dear in the same old way
How could you forget the love we knew
¿huh
Very strange to see such talent sing a commercial for self-rising cornbread.
Gonna gimme some a that Hot Rise
Yee Haw!
At one time Josh played with Wilma & stoney

or future reference to myself ❤
I wonder if anyone then thought of eliminating the ridiculous "show biz comedy routine".
Those ridiculous comedy routines were a standard part of every act right up to the days of "Hee-Haw" a show with a cast of former comedians who had worked with well-known country music and bluegrass artists going back to the 1940s.
