Good memories of watching this tournament with my dad while he was in the hospital getting cancer treatment. Lost him a few weeks ago, didn't get a tournament this year. Glad his last one was a good one.

Will never forget that 2018 Loyola Chicago run, I had them in final four and they hit 2 game winners and a clutch 3 in their 3rd game…. That was my best bracket ever

Chase King I’m a Purdue fan so I dealt with everyone saying we shouldn’t be in the elite eight, then we were a couple seconds away from beating the number one team in our side of the bracket. Then the buzzer beater 😖 then Cline missing the free throw it was all a mess and so stressful

I loved this tourney and 2018 and 2016 were good too but 2013 was and will probably still be my favorite ever
I needed this. Since everyone is stuck in their house it would be heaven if it was still going and I could watch the this all day

Uhh..any game with Purdue involved in that tournament was insanity & absurd. I'm a Michigan State fan as you might know & i had really wished they would join us in the final four!! UVA had the greatest turnaround (walking on egg shells essentially from sweet 16 & on) from the absolute worst to the absolute best! 😂😂 MSU defied the odds with a banged up or injured roster. This tournament was one to remember for many reasons for me. :)

Virginia fan here. Had always known known them to be bad in basketball, and I had hoped that Tony Bennett would get us to the tournament consistently. Instead he got us a Natty and I got to see their journey VS Oregon. Best day of my life!

People don’t realize how much weight Vegas and national television stations have on the outcome of these games. A whistle here, a whistle there, different outcome to a basketball game.
I'm a Duke fan, but we should have lost against Ucf AND Virginia Tech

Sam Sharp UCF was a better team than Duke that game for sure. Referees had to help duke because them loosing that early would have DESTROYED tv ratings. They hyped Zion up all year, and really they started falling apart late season just as this years duke team is doing.
This may just be my bias but I think if duke would have got past that Michigan state team they would have won it all. They beat Auburn, Texas tech and Virginia 2x in the regular season

So anybody ever pull up the idea that shouldn’t the Virginia Diakite buzzer have been a backcourt?
I just rewatched it thinking "maybe Purdue knocked it back there..." but no. Virginia just basically got handed a game.
The rules very complexly say that possession ends as soon as the ball leaves the shooter's hands, and the ball is allowed to *bounce* back into the backcourt, but it didn't bounce. Possession was regained when Virginia intentionally tapped it backwards after the shot. That is a backcourt violation.

verde I think the call is that Virginia never actually regained possession. What Diakite did isn't considered gaining possession of the ball.
