For those of you doing this, I just did mine on 10/4/19. You may want to buy some new plastic clip things, mine is a 2008 and virtually all of the clip things were brittle and broke upon removal. Just a FYI
I am grateful for the video. Great production and content. Just remember if your CRV has lived in and it has, be prepared for missing and broken fasteners. In my case, a drill and cable ties really helped. Going slow with modest setbacks, four hours to do both lights by myself
Thanks for the video! It took most of the time to remove the bumper / grille. I'm not a mechanic and I don't play one on TV, so it took me about 2.5 hours to swap them out. I only had about a dozen spare parts left over, LOL. I upgraded to LED bulbs also.
Fantastic how-to video, the best and most thorough I've seen. Good thing I watched it before beginning the replacement process. I wouldn't have know you had to remove the bumper and grill first.

I thought restoring the old ones would be a pain. It really shouldn't be such a production to change a headlight assembly. Having to remove the bumper is just ridiculous. Thanks Honda! Nice video though.
Excellent video and excellent product too at a great price. The drivers side is slightly different, there are 5 screws and the front of the bracket is tied to the body with a push clip on my 2008 CR-V LX Thank you
+julie good Thanks for watching. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the auto repair part shown in this video on our website. Here is a link to them www.1aauto.com/2007-11-honda-cr-v-headlight-pair/i/1alhp00631?UA-cam&CTA+Comment&Fl5jE8yEguI
I got half way through my process before I had to consult the UA-cam oracle. Thankfully this video was out there to take me through the rest of the process. Had I watched prior to starting, I would have kept my hands cleaner with my own set of gloves too. Thank you for this very thorough how-to. It saved my bacon.

Steve was the bumper hard to align back on any gaps any clips on bumped break ?? I'm worried about messing up the body work by doing this and there being gaps left. What do you think
Thank you for the great reply. We love to empower our customers by showing you how-to perform your own auto repairs while installing our high quality auto parts. Have a great day! 1aauto.com +Scott MacMeekin
Scott by any chance is there at all a chance of damaging the bumper clips or ruining it when pushing and clicking it in or taking it off? I reallydont want to do it because if clips on bumped get damaged I don't see anyone selling another bumper for cheap. Also an chance of bumper reinstall leaving gaps in the line connecting the bodywork ?
unless the headlight assembly is broken, you do not need to replace it. For the assembly in this video, all that is needed is a simple and inexpensive polishing of the headlight cover. This video is to help A1 Auto is looking to sell new headlight assemblies which are significantly more expensive than a couple of dollars to polish the headlight cover to be clear. Plastic headlight covers get hazy (like this one) over time. A simple polishing will make them look new and restore the headlight output.
those two 10mm bumper bolts 1:18 ... both of my 2011 rusted solid.... IMHO - soak with rust buster spray a day or two before, and do it again the first thing when you're going to do the job. I ended up busting that funky front part of the inner fender liner on the right side. ... ** that stupid J-clip retainer ** ... they really should have just used a fender washer and nut.
Excellent video, really makes it look simple! Great production quality, everything is well lit and all the bolts are clearly identified. I'll definitely check out your store when I need to replace bumper or any parts.
@@1AAuto, I followed the video and one warning you should add is for ppl with fog lights. I have fog lights and when I removed the bumper they were stuck to it and I had to do some quick stretches to grab something to hold onto the bumper while I went to each side and disconnected the fog lights from the bulb sockets so I could completely remove the bumper.
+1A auto Parts What are the odds of the bumper having gaps after we reattach it? Will it still have that new tight gapped look to it or that look like the bumper was reinstalled at some point?
Looks doable, although my luck, I would never get the bumper back on in the perfect alignment, etc that it was when I took it off lol...also a link to spare retainers would be helpful. Thanks!
IF I buy the headlights how much do you think would it be for a garage to install these for me? Not being lazy but I don't like messing with my cars even though this seems possible.
I would rather restore the clear part of the headlight (if the headlight isn't actually broken) rather than remove the front bumper cover and the headlights, much easier and less time consuming and costly. You can buy a headlight restoration kit for $20-30 and spend much less time and money. You can even use practically any mild abrasive, one sheet of 1500 grit,,one 2000 grit, one 3000 grit and just about any finishing polish and your headlight will be good as new.
+Dan Hensley Thanks for watching! We do carry an assorted set of trim removal tools that would include one similar to what's in the video. Here is a link: www.1aauto.com/interior-trim-removal-kit-dorman-49051-dorman-49051/i/1axxx00004
Trying to find a review on the quality or there aftermarket headlights.if they are sealed good and dont get any moisture in the lenses headlights.ive bought many and they all got moisture in them in 1 year
Me: all I need to do is switch out the bulbs and I’m good! Manufacturer: Yeah... you’re gonna have to take the whole bumper off for that. I swear, the amount of work to switch out a lightbulb is staggering.
Pretty informative but i think theyre fibbing a little about getting those bolts out underneath. No amout of blaster is going to keep them from spinning because theyre only holding against plastic not tough to keep the jnut from turning. I see they kinda skipped by that part.

Thanks, Do you have a video on how to replace just the headlight bulbs?
What would be incredibly helpful would be to list the part numbers of all those push retainers that will absolutely break when removing. Thank you.
G M Honda uses about 10 different types, so I just bought an assortment like this one. www.amazon.com/dp/B07L6FJGR4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_HQRpEb4M7D2ZJ
Do you have to take out the whole light assembly if you just need to replace the bulb?
no

Could you please do a video on changing the lens alone? Also can you give me some quick tips as I'm about to do the lens alone this week Thanks A1
+Crusoe Bower Thanks for checking us out! The headlights are a sealed unit and are not meant to be replaced as the lens only.
