No-one ever said it was racist. Everyone seems to misinterpret that decision to mean that the network feels that Bo and Luke were racist or that the stories were somehow racist. The decision has nothing to do with the show really. It's about the flag having a complicated history. The flag has associations with white supremacy and with slavery. The network didn't want to 'fly' that flag. They wanted to ensure that someone in the audience would never (wrongly) misinterpret the flag on the car as meaning that the Dukes were associated with racist views.

Jirapat Thaenphromrat in this video yeah, it was actually very cool of them to go to the trouble to build the other ramp so they didnt wreck the car, what i was talking about was at like a duke fest where they ramp and destroy these cars.
I hate to see any old cars get wrecked, but once in a while it's cool to see one get some serious air if it's a real beater that needs to go out in a blaze of glory. ;)
To all of you little boys crying over wrecked old cars, you just don't get it!! The biggest thing about the Dukes of Hazzard was the General Lee and all the stunts they did with it. Yes they wrecked over 200 Chargers but look at the results. A great show that had great stunts! Real stunts preformed by real people! You little boys that are so used to computer generated special effects and playing video games that you can't begin to appreciate the time, effort and especially skill that went into some of those high flying jumps. Guys like Al Wyat Jnr and Corey Eubanks risked their lives for those stunts and all you can say is poor cars?? Grow up little boys!
I agree with you but back then it was nothing to total those cars because they were plentiful back then but years later now that they dont make cars like that the value has gone way up for them and i just think its stupid for people to jump their classics like that and total them, unlike this video where he has a landing ramp. Plus every time one gets totalled it just that much harder for an average joe like me to get their hands on one.
Why can't this be all the dukes fest jumps? Simple and low with a landing ramp that DOESN'T destroy the car and is still way cool to watch. The police chase is a neat idea and I enjoyed this entire video far more than another charger jumping 30 ft in the air and being destroyed on impact.
Amen on that I agree with you seeing other Chargers get wrecked by landing on pavement at 20-30 miles per hour and seeing the front of the car get bashed makes me sick. But a lot of people enjoy watching it so they probably wont stop because they get paid to do it and if they did stop the Civilians or Audience would get angry for them stoping. So they are going to keep on doing it which I don't like. This is my only favorite jump because they were actually "Careful" with the car. Being "Careful" is what the other bonehead stunt drivers should do when doing a jump at anyother Dukefest. I just hate how much disrespect and abuse other Chargers getting forced to jump for the audience's amusement. It just grinds my gears how much nerve people have to jump these iconic cars. But like I said they wont stop if only all the jumps could be like this!

Have you checked Ebay? They have new ones up for sale every month. Some that are already completely redone over to look like the General Lee. ranging from like 20K to 90K
Jirapat Thaenphromrat I've looked at them over the past 5+ years. They've always been around that price. They've steadily gotten more expensive. I think like 5 or 6 years ago the most expensive one I saw was 35K but now they're up to like 90K on the high end.
That's how they should had been doing it ALL along, with a landing ramp...not just letting the General eat dirt / pavement. Too, if they'd done that in the TV show, you might could had gotten your hands on one of the Generals from the show...but, that's water under the bridge now...
