    Can you do the best pump for larger breasts? Specifically the best portable pumps? I'm a g cup and the in the bra pumps are useless for me

    From my experience high suction does not equal high output. I’ve found my best output with faster but gentle stimulation. The medela symphony has been my favorites- unfortunately not covered by insurance. Babybudha had good extraction but caused nipple injury. After three months my spectra just didn’t cut it, despite replacing parts etc. I work in a hospital so thank God they have the symphony in the lactation rooms and I can keep using it at work too. My baby is only 3 months CGA even though I’ve been pumping/bf for 6 months.

    I’m super interested in minimum suction/suction range. I get very good output on just level 2 of my Medela PISMF and want to make sure I’m not getting a portable/wearable that’s min suction is higher than what I’m accustomed to.

    Thanks for all the hard work! Your result of a low freemie suction with their cups seems consistent with my experience. I feel very little difference when going up each vaccum level from L08 to L13 using spectra S1 with the freemie liberty cups so I think the cups are the limiting factor!

    Thanks for this. I've been binging on your videos, having started pumping at work recently. Unfortunately I got the PISMAX (didn't really know anything about pumps when I ordered) and its not been working great for me. Weirdly I also got their $25 manual pump and it works great. 😕 I'm hoping its just a matter of finding the right settings and flange size (thanks for the tip on flange adapters), but it might be that I just need very high suction ..? In which case, I'll probably give the Spectra S2 they have at my work a go.

      Thanks, will do. :) BTW cheeky suggestion: could you maybe cover some manual pumps, including their max suctions, etc. at some point? Maybe hard to test though I realise. Still, I'm a little confused why a manual pump seems to work so much better for myself (?). Keep up the great content, in any case!

    In your estimation, knowing that it's an opinion and not based on any kind of data or facts, what percentage decrease in suction do you think happens when double pumping vs. the numbers you got pumping one side? Like, can I expect that on a pump with a max suction of 250 on your test, a decrease in 50% is reasonable so each side will get 125?
    Super geeky but I'm wondering if what happens is that pumps don't actually evenly distribute the suction to both sides and that's why we end up with a slacker boob. I'm going to go ask the Facebook group if anyone using the Synergy Gold still has a slacker boob...😂

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 роки тому +3

      If I remember right, I tested one pump on double suction and it lost about 30%. I will double check those numbers and present the data though because I think it’s SUPER important to consider! I’d also be curious to know if certain pumps do better with both sides vs others.

    • @alicialong4436
      @alicialong4436 3 роки тому +3

      I use the synergy gold. And although I still have a slacker boob, the pump is amazing. I have kind of different nipples. One is flatter, and more sensitive. But both kind of elastic. And pumping was hard for me to get any stimulation, but now I'm only about. 5 oz difference tho,, and before the synergy gold,, I was about 1-1.5 oz difference.. I keep the settings on the massage mode the same,, and expression mode set at 10 and 8 and it's perfect.The absolute best money I've spent on this journey of exclusively puming.

    • @laurenmajors8472
      @laurenmajors8472 2 роки тому +1

      @@NewLittleLife I'm also very interested in this data, especially since the recommendation is to pump both sides at a time. If the suction goes down by 30% or more when double pumping, that's going to have a major impact. Would you be willing to recreate your suction video and this one to compare it?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  2 роки тому +3
