    Thank you so much… I was feeling so frustrated with myself. But I watched your video, and the first thing I caught was figuring out the cause… and then it clicked! I just started my birth control about a week and a half now… which contains estrogen. I wish my doctor would’ve educated me on this. I requested this oral contraceptive because it was what I was taking before. Again, thank you so much!

    I’ve also lost ounces after having a really bad clogged milk duct and mastitis. I’ve also lost ounces due to nipple blisters from too strong of suction on the tip of the nipple where the milk sprays out. I’ve also lost ounces from trying supplements that are meant to boost supply but did the opposite for me. Sadly, losing ounces could be a multitude of things. I love that you discuss these topics for moms, I so desperately could’ve used you advice 10 years ago lol but such is life 😂 thank you for the video❤

    I'm exclusively feeding at the breast and my supply drops anytime I try to eat less (tired of carrying extra weight) it's frustrating. Is this avoidable? Can weight loss intentionally happen while breastfeeding?

      I asked a similar question to a fitness coach/trainer mom on insta. She went through a body transformation after having her son so I I trust in her advice when she told me she nursed for 19 months while losing 75lbs. She told me that she ate good quality calories (nutrient dense). High protein diet, and lifted 4x a week. She said the biggest thing that helped her was a daily walk. Going outside and pushing the stroller for about an hour a day helped her. She told me that she worked with lots of nursing mothers and that it's possible. Another mom commented that while she didn't have time to lift, walking and high protein is what helped her get -10 lbs pre pregnancy weight. I haven't given birth yet, so I haven't put these tips to practice but hopefully I was able to help a little.

    So I was exclusively breastfeeding for 4 months then I started pumping around 5 months and it was good then I started to slow down on pumping and feeding around 6 months for about 2 weeks because we introduced solids but it dropped tremendously!! And I’m struggling to get it back up. My baby is about 2 be 8 months and I had to mix formula since 6 months and I’m sad

    This was helpful. I use the madella pump n style and the discrete duo Landon. I think I’m struggling with pumping out put and try everything I can think of. I was getting 5 oz at least once a day. I’m definitely not pumping enough and idk how moms with 2 under 2 do it. I know I need to pump more but when I was pumping 4 times out it still seemed low most of the time when there’s lots that wants out

    I am one of those moms who has been struggling with keeping my supply up for my baby. As a stay at home mom, I would love to exclusively breastfeed but I’ve been pumping and breastfeeding to try and increase my supply and the stress is really getting to me. Is it possible to quit the pump and have a normal breastfeeding relationship with my little one now that we’ve been on the pump for close to 5 weeks?

    • @NewLittleLife

      It depends I guess on how efficiently your baby is breastfeeding. Do you have a lactation consultant you’re working with?

      I had to get a prescription for reglan with my second baby to help my supply as supplements didn’t help and I had a Medela pump which the hospital got set up for me with insurance and that saved me. I’m trying to avoid it this time but anything that helps is good I believe. I did have success with reglan which is safe and seems to help many women.

    Hello, I really need help. I am 9 month postpartum. I caught Covid for the first time last month and was very sick for about 2 weeks. During those weeks I stopped breastfeeding and pumped but only managed to pump for 2 to 3 sessions a day (versus 5 to 6) due to being sick. I also took cold/flu medicine for a week and sucked on Halls and Ricola cough drops throughout the day for those 2 weeks. I immediately saw my milk supply dwindle within the first week. I had to supplement with formula and have been now for a month. On top of catching Covid, I started my period for the first time. After recovering from Covid, I am only able to pump 2 oz total a day from 3-4 sessions (without breastfeeding). My supply is almost all gone. It’s a real struggle. What can I do to get my milk going again?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  10 місяців тому +2

      I’m so sorry to hear your struggling! Getting back on a consistent pumping schedule, ideally 7-8 times per day until you see some increase. You’re trying to relactate now, but it can be done! It would be helpful to work with a lactation consultant 💙 good luck!

    • @GingeRenee
      @GingeRenee 10 місяців тому

      Ask your doctor about trying reglan. It saved my supply when all else failed. I try to share because I know how heartbreaking it is to try everything and see no results. Reglan is an anti nausea medicine safe for breastfeeding and works quick and many women seem to have good results. I hope you see this because I know how hard it is emotionally to deal with milk supply.

    So when I first had my baby I was pumping like a cow. Now it's been two months and it's slowed down dramatically, I feel like it's my hormones. What can I take to help my hormone level? I want to at least feed my breast milk for six months ....

    • @NewLittleLife

      First, you’ll need to figure out if it actually is your hormones. If you don’t know the underlying problem, it’s all just guessing! Have you seen your OB or an IBCLC?

    I had a c section a month ago, my baby never latched on, hospital put her straight to bottle, I had no milk just colostrum . I was in the hospital 6 days I was hand expressing but not every 2/3hrs. Once I got home I got a pump , started to pump when I can. First two weeks were fine I was getting more and more in up to 60/90ml but mostly was per each pumping session 30ml. Which isn’t a lot . Now I’m barely getting 30ml a day. I’m getting drops from the pump, I don’t get wet T-shirts anymore as well. I started to pump now every 2hours in 24hr period. Which is 12 times . But I am not sure..if that will help , I am doing short pumping sessions 2-15 minutes. I don’t feel it is doing anything more when i pump for an hour straight or 30 minutes so I’m doing now short pumping sessions more regularly. But I am very scared I won’t produce enough milk for her to have milk once she learns how to latch and her tongue tie is resolved. I am one month pp. any suggestions?

    I also want to ask, is using nipple shield affect milk supply? I have been using it for 3 weeks now since my baby’s not able to latch well yet and he’s been getting a lot more milk when I’m using it than without it. I’m afraid he might get used to the nipple shield and he gets very upset when I remove it maybe because he can’t get a lot of milk. Will my milk supply drop if I’m prolong using it? I hope you can get to respond to this, I am just really concerned & worried for my milk production & not be able to satisfy my baby long-term.

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  11 місяців тому

      It’s possible, but often it’s the bridge between breastfeeding and not that makes it all work in the end! Just keep an eye on your supply and do lots of skin to skin :) weaning from a shield can be tricky, but it’s doable for sure!
