Poor Milton. And his poor mother. I felt bad for all of them…but watching Milton sob while his mother was holding him while she was in her wheelchair…that got to me.
This is the most saddest story I ever seen on UA-cam she and I are the same age I can’t believe this my heart is absolutely broken… she suffered severely I hope her children are ok and had a fair chance at life without their parents. Wow they need a cure today.
Back then doctors and nurses really cared about their patients. They even cried themselves for what patients were going through regardless of what the illness was.
That's not true at all. So many stories of nurses not wanting anything to do with AIDS patients. The lesbian community actually stepped up and cared for gay men because nurses wouldn't. Doctors didn't want to either. People died alone in rooms. Don't make it rosy. It wasn't.
I was in my 20's juring the aids epidemic i had witnessed some people i knew become very ill and thin before the age of 30 it was frightening times they died in their prime of life their best time was eliminated far too early
My bf (best friend) died of AIDS 8/3/2017. I didn't know. Part me am glad that I missed him deteriorate like this. Another side wishes I was there for him until the end. I miss my Scott dearly.
@Piscesempress 🙄. He wasn't my boyfriend he was my best friend. What do you mean how would you NOT know? The same way you don't most things about people. He didn't tell me, nor did he tell his actual wife that's currently undetectable. I wasn't sleeping with him. There's NOTHING fishy about it. Anything else?
@@Nah.ImCool To be fair to her the internet abbreviation bf is usually used to mean boyfriend the abbreviation bff or best friend forever is usually used to indicate a best friend. Her misunderstanding is understandable.
@@adrianh332 It is understandable, but it isn't. If he was my boyfriend, she would still need to make a lot of assumptions. People still have long distance relationships. Not all people in relationships go without condoms nor do they all live together. Some people don't rummage through their partners belongings. My friend remarried and his wife wasn't aware of his status. She trusted him and found out later on in the marriage. Of course, it was too late for her. Most people don't think to put diseases/illnesses on their friends. It never crossed my mind. When he became disoriented on his job, he told me he discovered he was diabetic and that caused it. When he needed dialysis, I assumed it was because he wasn't on top of his diabetes. When he would go into the hospital, I assumed it was because he wasn't eating right/taking care of himself. At the end, when he told said to me "I'm falling apart (N)ah I(m) C(ool). I asked what was wrong. He told me he would tell me later. Later never came. When AIDS related dementia kicked in, I immediately knew something was wrong, but HIV/AIDS never ever crossed my mind. It wasn't until after his death that I did a deep dive into the subject.

They didn't take away. She called family and gave away because she couldn't support them. She did the right thing. She's to weak to take care of the kids. She's giving them their best chance at life
She got it from her husband. He was an intravenous drug user (dirty, contaminated syringes) and he died from AIDS. She got it from him after making love to him (STD).
No, effective medications were still a decade away, she was terminal when this documentary was made and even if effective meds had been available with the early cocktails you had to be in reasonably good health to take them because they were quite toxic.

I totally agree. Even 36 years later, there are no words...
And this makes me really angry that after 42 years the 🤬 cure still not found god bless the family 😔💔
I wonder how her kids are doing now? Praying they all are living productive lives❣️🙏🏾
Her husband was just a selfish piece of crap ...😮

Thank you for sharing this and allowing her legacy to live on in this memory.

Wonderful story of love.
dark times back then. everyone was afraid of getting infected.

Why would the government take her kids away for being sick 😷 This was too sad her kids should’ve been able to stay by her side❣️

How did she have the virus?
Her husband killed her
Her partner used drugs
Her husband was a intravenous drug user & passed it on to her.
She got it from her husband. He was an intravenous drug user (dirty, contaminated syringes) and he died from AIDS. She got it from him after making love to him (STD).
They said it here, her husband used drugs and died from AIDS himself.
Did Priscilla survive?
I wouldn't think so. Once you got sick, your time was short.

No she did not sadly
what do you think, poor woman was at death's door just needed someone to pull her through..
I don't think so 💔 this is really heartbreaking those kids 😔
