Gret video, my only suggestion would be changing the title too something like "Are these the best architectural diagrams you've ever seen? Design Review!"
If any of you are interested in graphical display of information may I suggest Edward Tufte’s self published books. Published well over 20 years ago and although not architectural but informational in general they set the basis for the modern theory: “Visual Explanations” “Envisioning Information” “The Visual Display of Quantitative Information”
I like watching you teach photoshop and AI, I hope you can display the sourthcut on the screen so it's easier for me to follow what you do, as a beginner I'm confused about the sourthcut you press so it can change to the one on your screen
Hey Nicholas! I'm happy to know that you're interested in joining future competitions at Project: Unbuilt! Ideally we wanted to host around 4 a year! But they take such an immense amount of work that we're doing only 2 or 3 at max. But we're planning to hire more people to help us in this journey. You can follow @project.unbuilt on Instagram to be the first one to know about it And also @learnupstairs and @wikiarquitectura, which is our main accounts also post about the competitions when they come out. Let me know if you have any questions! Cheers
@@Buckers582 it’s more about a workflow as opposed to recreating a specific diagram. I mean what happens when a building is 20 times bigger with far more complicated circulation, do you model a path in 3D? Do you use rhino’s X-ray display mode? Do you remodel the building to look less complicated? I realize there’s no one way of doing things, however, there’s always something to be learned, especially in buildings with complex circulation, I have even seen this 1 diagram once where parts were strategically carved out of the building to expose certain parts as opposed to only relying on transparency.
Hi, I'm the one who made that diagram. To answer your question, Yes, I did remodeled to simplify it for diagram. I also draw that circulation in 3d model as a guideline, then finish it in Illustrator. He was right, I experiment with layers. I rendered 3 diagram and overlay them on top of each other with different opacity to make this xray effects, then doing a bit of extra line works on top of it to highlight certain parts. Hope it answered your questions! :)

Hey S_G_B, thanks a lot for the suggestion. Happily accepted! I wasn't sure how to properly write it. Appreciate it.

I love your videos!!
Can’t wait for the next competition!
Which program are they all using to create these? Im an construction engineer that would love to work more with architecture! thanks
Basically AI & photoshop for 2d edit, sketch up & vray for 3d export
probably SketchUp for model making and photoshop for post-production
It’s a lot of rhino with artic mode and illustrator really.
5:01 something on background, looks scare
😱😱
you're the one who won every "I spy with my little eye" game 😱
😖 that's scary
which software they used?

Just try to many Diagrams style......
Gracias
How come no videos exist showing the workflow for the X-ray type of diagram… like the one with the red path arrow…
Yeah that looked good, I'd imagine is just a clever use of layers
