Yes, it's on my list for next July! Ryan, I truly appreciate the effort that you put into creating these videos 😃. From taping the scenes on the ground and in the air, putting down the Sony on a tripod in the road, then backtracking a ways, filming yourself (and Amelia) biking past the camera, stopping & going back to retrieve the Sony! Not to mention the hours of review footage & choosing scenes, editing, voiceover work, creating the voiceover scripts, WOW! And I declare that you create videos with stories that are just as compelling as network television shows of this kind --adventure shows and human interest shows. Thanks again 👍
Oh boy, if they ran the event in May or October I’d be in like Flynn.. The heat just gets progressively more dangerous with each passing year. We escape to the mountains in summer. We aren’t spring chickens anymore. Wimps, really.
Ryan, Thank You so much for featuring Logan and myself skating. I showed the clip to Logan and got another big smile!! This was our first time attempting a short leg of RAGBRAI and would love the chance to do it again. It was a very fun morning! Great people, Great event. A few of our marathon finishes (and some other goofy stuff) are on our UA-cam channel @ Darrell Knecht. Enjoy. Thank You again!!
I would not be able to ride anything if I had migraine. Light and sound would be like knives through my eyes and head. Luckily thanks to beta blockers I haven't had one for 20 years.
I love that Amelia is so upfront about her various health concerns. So many women would hide them as unglamorous. In fact, her honesty makes her a million times more appealing. Good going Amelia.
Dude. Thx for being you. Thx for motivating me to get out there. I figure I've got 10 years left on the planet and I plan on using them to bike all across it. Stay safe. We should all try and be a little van Duzererer every day!
Ryan and Amelia are the ultimate endurance power couple. They are so fun to watch enjoy life together. Their energies really match well. I look forward to many more videos with the both of you!
Thank you I work very hard towards my goals and I really appreciate this also I was wondering if you are having to go to if you do I can check it out it’s OK if you don’t it’s very nice of you to comment thank you also I hope you had an awesome Halloween tell me what did you dress up as hi
Thank you for including a little piece of our interaction at 34:55. Meeting you on the last day of RAGBRAI was a highlight of the trip and an amazing way to end it. I'm inspired by you, I'm "out there" because of you. Thank you for putting out simply the best content on UA-cam.

This has been such a great series - seeing so many great people, and long straight roads with nothing but people riding bikes. If that isn't an image of heaven on earth, I don't know what is! Can't wait for next year. One of these years I'm gonna be there riding with you all.
Ryan, you are amazing! The energy, the spirit and the love you spread in every video is second to none! Just please, when your special girl has a migraine, please don't yell next to her. Keep up the good work and I hope to ride with you someday in this wonderful world we share
Hey Ryan - You did a great job documenting Ragbrai! I was riding with my older brother, two nephews and one of my sons this year. The scenery, people and the great attitude of the riders combined to create a wonderful experience for all. I heard someone call Ragbrai the " Spring Break for Adults". Another called it "the world we wished we lived in." I am so glad I can share your videos with the rest of our family members so they can feel the magic of Ragbrai. You rock brother!
An injury took me out of the ride this year but watching your videos put me right back there. And , silver lining, I was able to cheer on all you century riders as you came in to my town! On behalf of the hundreds of Mason City Ragbrai volunteers, I want to thank you and Amelia for shining your joy on our beloved city, on this ride and on Iowa in general. You did it perfectly!
I cried when we reached Lansing that last day and I cried after watching this video. What a fantastic week - perfect in every way. I am so glad that you were able to share RAGBRAI with Amelia, and thanks for the wonderful videos of the week.
Some really touching interactions with others on the journey. Ryan, your gift to break down those communication barriers, to give life to these stories is a blessing. Keep doing your thing!
Ugh, I totally relate to Amelia's pain. I get exercise induced migraines, complete with auras and the body numbness. It really sucks, especially since I love to bike and be outdoors. On a more positive note, I HAVE to experience the magic ag RAGBRAI. It looks like so much fun. Thanks for a great series, Beans! Maybe I'll see you out there next year. I need to knock that one off my bucket list.
Thank you so much for sharing this ride via video. I nearly feel as if I was there with you. Being stuck indoors in blizzard conditions is mentally taxing on me. Watching videos like this while peddling a stationary bike helps a lot. Thank you Duzer.
One of the best things about this trip across Iowa was watching Amellia's shoulders tan darker and darker each day. Thanks for sharing Ryan. Keep on keeping on!
Bro I am so proud of you! You change folks lives and I one day will like you to ride with me across this great nation of ours! You, John & Mira, Nelson Vails, L39ION of LA, and so many more videos got me out my chair and moving at least 5 miles a day! A sport I loved for many years and Desert Storm changed forever. It’s a war dealing with VA Disability system and PTSD with many life changing illnesses takes a toll on you! But your energy and videos saved my health and maybe life! Bravo Zulu ( Job Well Done) Semper Fi , Can Do and 1*SRT/TAC
It's truly inspiring to watch the magic unfold at RAGBRI. The people and the connections that were made are truly impactful. I am glad Amelia could witness such a special event and meet these great folks. Here's to more Adventures together and a lifetime of adventures.
I want to say I am sorry you missed your trip .... but that would be a lie. I can't imagine a year of RAGBRAI without you there to document it and everyone's stories! There are so many hero's out there every year and you bring them to us. You are one of my heros! I hope you never miss a RAGBRAI. I plan to see you out there one year. Ok, now go enjoy your trip out of the country and bring it back to DuzerTV. Hugs from Texas to you and Amelia.
Awe, thanks Linda! This is very sweet of you to say. I agree, there are so many heroes out there, and I love sharing their stories with my channel. Hope to see you out there someday!
Wow you are an awesome dude van duzer, you gave this dude your bike,, not everyone can do what you do around with peoples,, some will try and fail all their life just to prove that its something you are born with ''connecting with peoples and bring peoples together''. Keep bringing this love man ,,you change the world in a really nice manner.
Ryan you are one of the most amazing people I watch on UA-cam. You are truly a light and an inspiration to everyone that meets you. Thanks for the content you create! I will be there next year!
Thank you for sharing and taking us along on your journey! I knew nothing about RAGBRAI up till now. Such an awesome experience I'll bet! And that was super sweet and awesome of you to give away your bike to Rene. Props to you Ryan. Wish you and Amelia nothing but the best. Keep on inspiring people!
This has been a fun series. It just might have inspired me to ride Ragbrai next year for my 75th birthday. Keep up all the good work. BTW, that was a great water slide.
Loved every minute of the RABRAI series. Felt like I was there and a part of the adventure. Exactly the type of pick-me-up that we all need these days. Thanks!
I had moments of sadness because this adventure was ending. You spread so much joy and positivity Ryan! I makes me so happy to see you and Amelia in love!
Ice pack to the base of the skull….. I too have gotten migraines all my life. My wife told me about this hack, and it has worked like. Charm for years!!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You just know the journey with Duzer will be epic. When you click the “like button” before the video…what does that say? Amelia is a definite trooper. I bet with that tan, she will glow in the dark with those stunning white teeth. Love you guys from San Francisco ❤️
A BIG Thank You Ryan for this ride along. One of the most inspiring and upbeat things I've seen in a while, and Amelia is a real trooper ! Always with a big smile and so 'go along and get along'. America is in fine shape, the people are Real and Iowa restored my faith. You should be Proud of the message you are sending. Bravo to Ryan & Amelia....and all the bikers and fans along the way.
Interesting thanks! Mine tend to be triggered by dehydration (makes sense it happened after century day) so I have to stay on top of my electrolytes as well!
@@arboone11 You may already use this, but I use a couple different electrolyte tablets. I use Nuun for sodium on days when I'm really sweating, like Ragbrai, but I also like Trace Minerals' magnesium-centric tablets for every day riding, since magnesium is one of the hardest things to get enough of in our diets. Epsom salt baths and Natural Calm magnesium powder (unflavored is best) are also good ways to get magnesium in. Your migraines may suggest a magnesium deficiency. Good luck!
Beans, nuts, seeds, cashews give you plenty of magnesium, and don’t forget potassium rich foods (use banana peal to make a tea). I use appr. 1/2 tsp Himalayan, mixed with table salt (for the iodine) in my bottled waters. Plenty enough electrolytes to prevent headaches, dizziness, cramping, etc. I stay away from anything processed as a tablet.
Just wanted to say thanks for the videos! I’m from Iowa and been on RAGBRAI 3 days when 15. These videos made me realize I need to travel back home from Az . Miss the Iowa people and the bike ride! Nothing like it !!!!!!
Great as always. If someone had told me I would watch people riding through cornfields for hours with glee, I would have considered that person mad. I hope you have already proposed to Amelia. You won't find another one like her.
I have to say that of all your Ragbrai videos this year's collection was my favorite. Not just the amazing people and stories you captured, or having your love Amelia join you, or even the cinematography which was next-level, it's the heart and love that came through. Thanks, Ryan, for everything you're doing. You're a positive influence on so many. My 10 y/o son and I hope to meet you for Ragbrai's 50th next year!
HI RYAN & AMELIA 👋 GLAD EVERYONE HAD A BREATHTAKING RIDE & WITH AMAZING WEATHER VIEWS SCENERY LANDSCAPE BEAUTY COLORS & ALL THE AWESOME PEOPLE RIDING PLUS ALL THE PEOPLE HELPING WITH RAG RIDE ! THE BEAUTIFUL FRIENDLY SMALL TOWNS / COMMUNITIES GORGEOUS DRONE FOOTAGE & CAMERA 📷 FOOTAGE / SHOTS . BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 THANK YOU 🙏 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏
This was an awesome series of videos. Thanks for sharing. I grew up in Iowa, but moved away when our kids were little. While we still visited Iowa a few times a year, it wasn’t until I decided to do RAGBRAI again in 2015 that I was reminded of the magic of Iowa that I had somehow forgotten. Jump forward to 2021, and my wife and I moved back to Iowa, and reclaimed our own piece of the magic. I am so glad that I reconnected with the state through RAGBRAI.
I have one solution for migraines. A dark room with no annoyances. Light is out. Sound is out. AC blowing on me is out. I really need an isolation tank. There's nothing like puking until there's nothing but what must be bile coming out, then there's dry heaves. I gotta stop thinking about it.
As a native Iowan with a few RAGBRAI's under my belt, your series on this year's ride captured the essence of the event and got to the heart of why people keep coming back. It is Iowa at its best and people at their best. It's a mobile county fair with all the food, entertainment, and adventure you can pack into a week. You lucked out with the weather. Those drone videos highlighted the beauty of Iowa's crops crisscrossed with roads every mile. Thank you for recognizing what an amazing event RAGBRA is for so many people.
A video of ribbons of roads full of riders, so cool. Ryan, I LOVE how you scream good morning and thank you to everyone. You are making your mark on the RAGBRAI world. And Amelia, to make it through the day with a migraine in the hot sun and do it with grace & do it with a smile..... Amelia you're a real trooper! Thank you for wonderful documentation of your fantastic trip.
Thx for the great videos. Been trying to get the wife to do more cycling with me for ages. We watched these together on the tv like a movie series and her seeing Amelia enjoy it so much with so little cycling experience has been inspiring to her. All though I don’t think she’s considered Amelia’s previous ultra marathon experience 🤣. 👍✊✌️
The last day was epic!!! I loved the scenery and the hills both up and down. My brother and I got up at 4 AM to ride because we were afraid we would miss the shuttle bus...turns out we were all done by 12:30 ...lol Thanks Ragbrai what an amazing job they did of organizing this great ride❤🚴♀🚴♂🚴🚴♂🚴♀🚴♂🚴
Some of my best memories were from riding the Texas AIDS Ride from Austin to Houston to Dallas with my wife. What a wonderful experience that was. This video brought back a lot of memories from that time 24 years ago. Thanks for that!
Hey Ryan, I'm from Mason City, IA. Your coverage of Ragbrai 2022 was magically immersive. Every frame was fun, beautiful and inspirational. Your drone shots of Iowa show it's true beauty. Thank you for bringing me along for the ride. Hi, to Amelia. Oh and Casey's General Store says HI too!
Ryan and Amelia....I so have enjoyed watcing your RAGBRAI adventures across my beautiful state of Iowa. I LOVE my state of Iowa. The Lansing area is AMAZING! And the topography of the Bluffs ....there is nothing like Northern Iowa. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! God Bless!
🌵🌲🚴♀️🎶 thank you for all your inspiration to the world. You help me remember why I am here, to journey on my bicycle. Over 5,000 miles with more to come.. ragbrai 2023,, 50 years. I be there, pedaling with love 💛💜🌟🦋🌲🌵🌴
Duzer, if you see this: Just registered for RAGBRAI 2023. It will be my goal to meet you, as you are a huge inspiration to me. Thanks for everything you do.
Ryan, such a wonderful capture of the images, drone footage, video and of what really makes RAGBRAI such a memorable experience, the people! It takes a tremendous amount of work and dedication to put this type of video together. Riding RAGBRAI by itself takes a lot of energy and is very time consuming, but adding hours on to each day to talk to people, getting to know their stories while trying to make it a memorable experience for yourself make your videos truly remarkable. I love knowing the stories from a lot of the same people I saw while riding RAGBRAI! Thanks Duzer!
LOVE the new video Ryan, the RAGBRAI adventure with Amelia (she's awesome!). You make me so excited to be on my bike, and you put this video together so much like the Ryan Van Duzer hits of the past. Great job. HI AMELIA, so great to meet you! WOOHOO! And OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!! (FOOTNOTE: At the end with the recap and the great heart tugging music and shots, you made me cry! You RYAN VAN DUZER made this 64-year old lifetime Coloradan cyclist cry! Thanks alot!!!!)
I wish so many blessing to you Logan and his family . So glad you and your dad were out doing your best life . Just go and be happy and know that I am sending you great wishes , and dreams . 💯🙏🌈
Ryan! Because of your inspiration, not only have I now registered, but have also convinced my brother and another friend to register for RAGBRAI L 2023. I hope to see you there in July!!
Ryan it was wonderful to meet you and share a fist bump. Your videos helped me learn about and plan my first RAGBRAI. It was a great experience and all of my training paid off and I set several personal bests during the week!
Thanks Van Duzer........we saw you the morning in Mason City, what a treat, we were the Colorado (socks gave it away) couple on the tandem with the tag-a-long, and helped Amelia find water outside of the pool, so fun to see you and sorry to see her with the migraine headache, YAY Colorado!
Ryan congratulations on another awesome adventure I hope you can see how much happiness, hope n inspiration you have given to everyone. Also when other UA-cam er integrates their BF/ GF there always a cringey vibe like will they try to out do you or can they hold their own. Amelia not only can hold her own but complement your channel in so many ways. Great spirit and energy can wait to see you guys next adventure. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride.
Well done Ryan and Amelia. Thank you for the sharing your journey across Iowa. I have loved Iowa and it's people since the 1980's when I began pheasant hunting. They represent the heart and soul of what make our country so great. I married a girl from Iowa. We vacation in Iowa. RAGBRAI may get me back on a bike again in 2024. Thank you both, and may GOD bless you both.
What a great series, ride and adventure Ryan & Amelia! Thank you Ryan for telling the story’s you tell both through videography, your interviews and sharing your heart and kindness! You’re blessing and encouraging people so much! 💪🚵🏼🚵🏼🇺🇸💛
I've seen many cycling events on the tube for many years and save the 90's Tibetan wild cycling adventure of my friend Ray Kreisel (Yes we've been "on-line" buddies for years) That got me irrevocably hooked on cycling and adventures, your videos of your adventures and now "RAGBRI" lifts my spirits! P.S Keep Amelia on tag with you, she's Awesome 👍
I really didn't want this to end, it was so inspiring from start to finish! I really feel for Amelia with her migraine, my sister gets them from time to time and I have seen first hand how debilitating they are!☹I'm glad she got through it and we got to see that dazzling smile again, what a brilliant series this was👌Of course sympathetic Ryan helped you through it by shouting good morning to everyone at the top of his booming voice🤣Awesome video once again Ryan, keep doing what you are doing👍
I can't wait tell next year!!! It is going to be the 50th ragbri and my 3rd ragbri I can't wait! It is amazing seeing so many people from around the world 🌎 and I love your videos thank you for making my day.
Ryan, you're footage of Ragbrai is the best! I hope you come through Oskaloosa soon. I'm calling you up to the Osky Bandstand during our City Band Concert which will be on Thursday Night, the night Ragbrai should come through town in the next year or two. Hope we get to see you one day! All the best!
Next year, bc of the 50th...they are trying to set up big bashes in big cities.. So the guess is that the route may closely follow/parallel I-80. So if you two want to camp by pools...you guys may want to check those big cities out ahead of time. 😉
Thank you all so much for following our RAGBRAI journey!! What a magical week of down home goodness and inspiring stories. WHO’S IN FOR NEXT YEAR?
Yes, it's on my list for next July! Ryan, I truly appreciate the effort that you put into creating these videos 😃.
Just want to say you and Amelia make an awesome couple. You are so inspirational in your videos and make everyone feel important.God bless😊😊
Aw thanks! I’m a lucky woman!
@@arboone11 I just acted out of self interest since I want lots more of cute little cyclists with a positive attitude in this world.
We need a ragbrai Colorado, i'll start brainstorming.

A million respects Amelia. If I was feeling like you, I would have been so on the bus. You’re awesome.
I once got a migraine mid-100 miler. I survived that so I figured I could get through the bike as well!
I love your state and I agree with everything that you said! Iowa is incredible
Adding to the bucket list to ride at 65 years old. Love your videos - my favorite hobbies - cycling and videography.
I hope to see you out there someday
Hats off to the Father who is caring his 25 years old son 🫡
I LOVE watching your movies so well produced. Thanks for inspiring all that watch,I'm 64 and I want to ride till I die.👍🙏♥️
Keep on riding, my friend
Logan's smile...oh, my heart!
the ending was so beautiful! i agree that the country is so divided but it’s always beautiful to see humans getting along like that
I agree!! We have a lot in common
Love meeting people on bike rides the people are the best !!! We insists on injoying life
Yes!!!
The roller blades at 9:50. I recognize him and the turtle necklace. Daniel, I rode with him on the Tour Divide race this year.
Shhhhh don’t tell her 😉
Looks like this Duzer/Amelia thing might work out. Here's wishing you both the very best.
Awe, very cool. That musta been an incredible experience
Hello Michelle!! Iowa will always have a special place in my heart.
Loved the final video- that drone footage through the clouds on the last day was a chefs kiss!
Duzer, if you see this:
Just registered for RAGBRAI 2023. It will be my goal to meet you, as you are a huge inspiration to me. Thanks for everything you do.
How I wish you folks can find it in your hearts to get back together again. You're such a great couple together!!!
We’re still good friends!
It’s a ton of work, but I truly love sharing these stories with the world
LOVE the new video Ryan, the RAGBRAI adventure with Amelia (she's awesome!).
You shook me all night long, hell ya AC/DC 🤘🤘
Ryan! Because of your inspiration, not only have I now registered, but have also convinced my brother and another friend to register for RAGBRAI L 2023. I hope to see you there in July!!
Thanks for this. I haven't ridden RAGBRAI for a few years, this makes me want to go again.
What a lovely collection of heartwarming and inspiring stories, with a lovely surprise ending too.
Amelia and Ryan, what a great combo.
Ryan it was wonderful to meet you and share a fist bump. Your videos helped me learn about and plan my first RAGBRAI.
It was a great experience and all of my training paid off and I set several personal bests during the week!
Love to hear this!! Keep on having fun on the bike!
This is my favorite series ever! I live in Iowa and LOVE biking but have never done Ragbrai. I'm now determined to make it happen!
Yay!! So fun
The way make friends is beautiful.
Great editing Ryan
This is the best promotional RAGBRAI video created.
It’s a wonderful state!!
it is@@duzer
What a great series, ride and adventure Ryan & Amelia! Thank you Ryan for telling the story’s you tell both through videography, your interviews and sharing your heart and kindness! You’re blessing and encouraging people so much! 💪🚵🏼🚵🏼🇺🇸💛
Wow!
That was so much fun to watch.
Ryan... your girl... she's a keeper.
Indeed!
My wife and I are so happy for you that you found Amelia. You two are a great match.
We're so excited!
Yeah I was thinking about that when Ryan was yelling good morning to everyone lol
Rayan you are awesome! So much happiness and joy! I wish i would do this also!
Thank you for truly inspiration!
Nice adventure!
I like when you speak in Spanish.
Hello from …🇲🇽
An ex gf of mine used to get migraines every now and then it's horrible. Such a fun ride.
I hope everyone watches the whole video and doesn't skip around, but the final 10 seconds was the best part! Good on you Duzer!
Thanks for watching till the end :)
Well done!! Thank you guys for coming to my state and being great RAGBRAI ambassadors!!
I love Iowa!
Next year, bc of the 50th...they are trying to set up big bashes in big cities..
So the guess is that the route may closely follow/parallel I-80. So if you two want to camp by pools...you guys may want to check those big cities out ahead of time. 😉
