I stupidly put a rubber backed mat in my fairly new machine because I had done it before and it was fine but this time it disintegrated the rubber backing. Flakes everywhere. I literally hoovered the drum with a little hand held one and wiped it all out and spun it over and over til I thought I'd got every last crumb ... and then.. I thought about the filter. So at the age of 80 with disabled husband I sat on a stool and tried to get the white thing to turn. Not a hope with my frail old fingers. No tools to hand so I got the thick padded handled tin opener to make a tool that I could grip and turn with and off came the white cap. But then nothing, no water, no gunge so I came here and saw that you had to remove the whole assembly inside. Your comment that the front handle had snapped off the filter body was interesting because ours came out just like yours, in 2 bits. Whether it also snapped off or whether that's the way they are made now I have no idea. Had to disturb other half's almost eternal sleep and wheel him out to do the technical bit. He managed it, bless him, and we made £3.42 in coins and it wasn't as bad as we thought. Got it back together and would have high-fived each other but at our age it's not really advisable so he hobbled back to resume his previous dream and I cleared up the wet towel and stuff. Thank you for the information xx
This is a wonderful comment that paints a great image! I post videos to help people who want to help themselves. You get the gold medal for perseverance. You earned that three quid!
What a bloody mess, do you think the spider has had it then? Or just the lazy owner that could not be bothered to open the drain on a regular basis. Only god knows what the hell they were trying to wash, a whole sheep lol 😀
Really helpful. My filter is stuck the same way, front comes off n not the filter n I was clueless what to do. Will do the same way now. Thanks 🙏🏻

@@bootsowen Thank you very much 💗💗🥰🥰
Was the drum stuck because of dirty filter or bearings are faulty ? Thanks for reply!
These machines are genuinely horrible and are notorious for such failure, they aren't even worth a second glance 😂
how just HOW
