We have an air return vent on the drywall back of our current island. During our remodel I would like to put 12” deep storage cabinets on that side of the island. Would this work for an air return vent as well?
Hello. This product is designed as a register vent, so there is no space for a filter. I don't see that ToeDuctor has any return vent options, but it may be possible to use the same ductwork and just attach a grille with space for the filter. Make sure that the sizing of the ductwork is adequate for your system.
So I unfortunately already have my cabinets installed (I thought it would be way easier to install this duct work 😅.. and I also have round ductwork coming out of the floor (flush to the floor).. Any suggestions ?
Hi. That is going to be tricky. If you can remove the toe-kick and access the space underneath the cabinet, you may be able to squeeze the ductwork in and attach with adhesive or angled screws. The front piece of the Toe-Ductor attaches to the back of the toe-kick, so it shouldn't be difficult. If the space is completely blocked off, you may need to look into rerouting the ducts or disassembling the base of the cabinet to work on it. Best of luck!
So the guy who remodeled our kitchen didn’t install anything for the vents, he just put our lower cabinets over the old vent covers and now the air can’t escape. The basement is finish and I can’t tell where the vent goes, what do you recommend doing? Guessing where the vent is and cut a hole in my brand new cabinets?
Hi there. I would call the cabinet installer back over ASAP to fix it since they screwed up. If they are lucky, the toe kicks are removable and they can add some duct work underneath the cabinet. Worst case scenario, they have to pull the cabinet out which will disturb the countertop as well.
Is there some thing for redirecting a ceiling bathroom vent? My room is next to the bathroom and I'd rather push the air from the bathroom vent into my room. So a duct will be attached to the ceiling vent into the bedroom (leave the door open a bit to allow the duct in)
So did you spend $99 or $47 for you r DIY? Your Link shows ot at $101. C'mon, seriously? You couldn't find a hack for that? Or is this really an advertisement?
Hi. At 0:29 we show a table with the two options. I bought the kit for $100 after deciding that it wasn't worth the hassle of cobbling pieces together on my own.

Hello, Something like this will allow you to redirect the airflow of a vent register amzn.to/4eiLu0Q. Best of luck.
How do I install on a cement slab? Are there special screws I can get?
I've used something similar to these when attaching to brick or concrete. Be sure to follow the pre-drilling directions carefully. amzn.to/48Yre1a
What is the size of the toe kick vent?
The model we got has an opening about 9" wide by 3.5" tall. There's a link in the description.
