Not gonna lie, while a real Dragon-type Yamask would of course probably have to have something that doesn’t resemble a Dragon Ball quite so directly, that “defeating other variants” method of evolution would honestly be kind of a neat and clever addition to the “evolution puzzles” out there.
Although I don’t have an actual pic of it, I did make up a regional Yamask that is Dragon/Ghost-Type. One thing you can collect in the games is a scale of some sort. My Yamask holds one of those and evolves into what I like to call Scalerigus. It will be inspired by Chinese Dragons. It evolves to Scalerigus at level 19.
That would mean you need 14 for a living dex with every form And 28 for a living dex and shiny living dex with every form (if the ball in the middle changes depending witch one you caught)
Maybe it becomes that type of yamask from being given a mask made from a draco plate? And it'll evolve once its fought 3 dragon type pokemon, one has to have beaten the Yamask, and one has to have been beaten by yamask, the third one can either be beaten by or have beaten yamask, the third dragon, based on the end result of the battle will effect the Yamask abilitys, beaten two dragons will result in dragorise, basically the dragon type Blaze, Overgrow, etc. Losing to two dragons will result in Dragonate, which is the dragon type refrigerator, Pixelate, etc.
My idea for a water type yamask would be holding one of those water wing pool floaties, and turn into either a buoy that acts as a guide to uncharted islands. Or something resembling the top view of a boat, that often shows up near recent ship wrecks to take survivors to the nearest dry land…but this can be a gamble, you can either end up back at the dock where you came from, or a small deserted island.
I would also put the dark type in the list as well since it stays true to the original Yamask line of being a coffin while also changing enough that it makes its own unique Pokémon. Really liked that one
I feel like lockeriegus would hang around sunken ships with dhelmise and skrelp. Would be an interesting encounter place. You find sunken ships if u use the move dive, and you can encounter dhelmise, lockeriegus, and skrelp there
I actually like the dark type concept the most. It losing its mask and evolving due to its own weapon in an attempt to protect itself is such an interesting idea. I could even see it in a future Legends Game tbh (obviously not anymore because someone made a concept of it but still)
imagine a pokemon where its whole purpose is NOT to evolve, so by leveling it up it becomes a vicious and egotistical monster who it probably could've warned you about, but by leaving it in the PC and not using it for some time it evolves into a peaceful pokemon who is caring and suportive
@@Techy404 leaving it in a pc is a lame way to evolve. I’m in love with these designs. They’re all so good but my top five have to be these: 5: Resurigus 4: Calabasgus 3: Smararigus 2: Dark Type Cofagrigus 1: Bruiserigus
For Resurigus, while I love it being the skeletal remains of an Aerodactyl, it’d be much more imposing to have the combined remains of all the fossil Pokémon, having mix and match bones of Aerodactyl, Tyrantrum, Cranidos, etc. IMP
I don't think it needs to be all of the fossils at once. This concept offers an opportunity for Yamask to have a multi-branched held item evolution chain that varies based on the type of fossil it is holding. This also provides a new way of introducing fossils into the games. You could do something interesting with only a certain percentage of Yamasks holding actual fossils, while the majority are holding an amber piece that can be sold to shops. Players could then decide to either use the fossil as a held item for evolving Yamask, or could take the fossil and resurrect it into the original ancient Pokemon.
Two thing, 1) I feel like the dragon type one should have one last evo as the trainers wish could be to evolve once more. And 2) the fossil one should have its appearance changed depending of the fossil
Thought that the idea of poison Yamask and it’s evolution are somewhat cute.. Wanting to help others not succumbing to their own fate. There should also be one carrying “pokeys”. Reseragus IS looking OP indeed! Love it!
3:20, what I think would be interesting is if this’ Yamask’s form changed depending on the fossil it’s holding, like different forms would have different stats and moves.
But for every item it needs something different to happen, like fairy it could be friendship or like it has a unique move called meditate and you need to take it somewhere to meditate. Fighting could be “ beat other fighting type Pokémon and survive with 40% hp” so on and so forth

The Yamask was holding one of those Inuit ice goggles and it's evolution was some kind of ice effigy referencing the tombs/graves they would make for those that passed away. Post-Video follow up; oh my god Featherigus looks so badass- It looks almost lovecraftian! You absolutely must incorporate something like it into another region in the future, that design simply shouldn’t go to waste
It would’ve been cool to see a yamask to hold different evolution stones which you can equip to it and change its typing. It could also be used to get special evolution items that you couldn’t get anywhere else
I personally think yamask variants should be inspired by different ways. Cultures honor and preserve the dead. Thats what the two official forms are. if you want more creative freedom make the item there holding a part of there past life/culture or some tradition idk
@aaron386 not really, the 2 yamask from we have are based specifically of off objects associated with the cultures way of honoring the dead rather then the burial method itself, example yamask holds a Egyptian death mask representing their face but isn't a litteral mummy even after he becomes cofagregus he becomes the coffin not the body in the cofin, so a fire type yamask wouldn't be based off cremation but rather instead something a cultur associates with burials that the soul of a dead person might Cary with it like how yamask has his mask and galairan yamask has the rune stuck to its tail
My personal favorites just because I like creepy looking Pokemon is the dark type one and the normal type one I love how all of their designs came out to. 😁
now for the tv's lore: once the yanmask has entered the rotom, it turns into screenarigus, [screenarigus is what I think it should be called] it has its screen off to look like an ordinary rotom screen, if a child gets to close, hands come out of the screen and brings them into the screenirigus.
I do agree there could be a cool poison type. That being said I could not find one as well made as this one and I wanted to add a little humor to the video.
I do have a good idea for the poison type yamask and cofagrigus the cofagrigus variant will be injectarigus and it looks like a massive syringe but I'm bad at drawing but I imagined the design of the liquid inside it would be black and where it's face is and it drifts apart from time to time and for a serious dragon one it would be fictarigus it would be like a dragon made of ink and it would drip and it would be in a book were its bottom half is in the book and is shown on the page but more colorful and its tail would be out from the book like a portal to another world sort of like goosebumps where the monsters go in the books and its backstory would be when they were people they would love reading books and when they were young their moms would tell them a bedtime story about knights defeating evil fictional dragons and saving the princess in book and when they die and become yamask they would go to the library grabbing some money in the process and pay for their favorite book but if they do not get enough money they just steal it wich would be easier but gave them a bad reputation as theifs
I can totally seeing this happen with certain Pokémon having multiple Regional Varients and alternate Evolutions like with Meowth, Persian, Perserker, and Yamask, Coffagriegus, and Runereigus.
I think the way shenrigus would move around is the 2-7 star dragon balls make a wheel sort of shape and the 1 star would be in the middle connecting it all together
What if letting your Yamask hold a certain item determined which form it becomes and evolves into later? You could use the dark type Yamask, but maybe you don’t want Coffingrigus, so you swap it out at the last level for the fighting type one.
I love the Water and Ice Yamasks! Ice type Yamask and it’s evolution just looks happy and wonderful. Water Yamask and it’s evolution have such a good design!
I love how every Cofagrigus version fits with its own typing as well as the creepiness the original Cofagrigus is associated with. The lengths people go to when designing these fakemon is incredible.
I just thought of a few alternate versions of Grass, Water, Dragon, Poison, Electric & Fairy type versions of Yamasks and Cofagriguses. For the Grass type, The yamask would hold a flower pot with a sprout growing in it. It then evolves into: Chlororigus. It possesses a fully grown potted Venus flytrap. Chlororigus can control plants & vines . For the Water type: the yamask would hold a small closed treasure chest covered with seaweed and barnacles, as if it were brought from the bottom of the ocean. It then evolves into: Treasurigus . It fully possesses a a pirate treasure chest. Treasurigus has sharp teeth around the rim of the lid. It’s inspired by Mimics, creatures that are shaped like treasure chests to trick people into thinking they’re real treasure chests , but will attack people if they get too close. For the Dragon type: the yamask would hold a gold dragon crested sword that knights used to slay dragons with, but it no longer slays dragons. It then evolves into: Excalirigus. It possesses a full suit of gold dragon crested armor. It’s name is inspired by King Arthur’s sword: Excalibur. For the Poison type, the yamask would hold a beaker containing a purple liquid, which is obviously poisonous, since there’s a skull & crossbones on the beaker. It then evolves into: Miasmarigus. Miasmarigus possesses a set of chemistry beakers, vials and tubes that create a poisonous liquid & emit toxic gas. For the electric type, The yamask would hold a yellow disco ball. It’s inspired by the word “Electric Boogaloo “ . It then evolves into: Groovarigus. It possesses an entire DJ’s turntable, complete with multicolored lights and neon signs. & finally, for the fairy type, the yamask would hold a tasty, irresistible and oh so delicious cupcake. It then evolves into: Sugarigus. Sugarigus possesses multi-tiered cake , plus it’s really friendly, and likes sharing tasty pastries with other people and Pokémon, which thankfully isn’t poisoned or cursed.
My favourite yamask had to be the ice type one and there evolution cause they were both really cute. If they appeared in a Pokémon game they would definitely be on my team
the yanmask now has a new lore: it is found holding a strange tape, it finds a rotom screen, to watch it, once it does it's mind makes it evil, entering the rotom.
These are all so cool! really liked the rock type and flying type varients. Im also glad to see yamask and cofagrigus being talked about because of its galarian forms, I’ve always though yamask and its evolution cofagrigus being uncommon but im always happy to see people talk about it and shed light on these spook-tachular pokemon :)
Great vid man! I love all the variants because of my love for cofagrigus and runerigus but out of the new ones both bruiserigus and it’s pre evo have awesome designs!
Wow first Deadbedspread posting all differednt types of Phatumps and now u posting about different Yamasks....Truegreen7 posted a new video...now this is what i call a good day
This is like a cake with 100 cherries on top, Yamask and Cofragrigus have always been one of my favourite Pokémon ever since they first released in gen 5, great work
I have made 2 and a half Yamask and evolution designs myself... One called Geargarigus a old abandoned toy in a old toy factory that got possessed by a Yamask that hold the key. (Based on the old spring loaded toys.) (steel) Another called Cloakarigus, a Yamask that don't hold a item that always feel lost and naked withouta item. But later find a special cloak or blanket and decides to wear it. (Normal) /But the half part of it is that I redesigned it as a experiment and instead made a design based on a classic yellow rain coat.
idea for another Toxic Yamask, make it about those who died in the black plague. the eye markings could resemble boboes, the iconic mark of Yerstinia Pestis, and it carries a plague doctors mask. Called: Yermask any ideas for an evolution? New Idea for an ice type: Those who got lost and died on mt. silver as a reference to the creepypasta "lost on mt. silver." Its eye marks resemble icecicles, and it holds the hood of the coat it froze in. Called: Frigimask. Evolution: its body is hard and stiff, wrapped in the flag of where it came from like the dead on mt. everest. it is a pale blue with some white here and there. it has tried to piece together a makeshift windbreaker to keep out the cold, but as if mocking it, icicles have grown and are hanging from all over it. a cold chill can be felt when one is near. its gaping maw looks like an open cave mouth. perhaps their last shelter. Called: Hypofragius
So you're telling me that accurate angels look like this? 4:11 they don't look like the ones you see in movies and cartoons? Wow, for angels they are terrifying. Also the dragon type yamask and shenrigus is my favorite.
I think this is my most favorite video on Pokémon evolution and plus I love how their eyes correspond with what their about to evolve into or how their face expression changes😍
The Dragon Coughfragrigous is cool and all but i wanna suggest a small design change. Have it only come out of the 4 star Ball and have it hold the 1 and 2 ball, while the rest are on its body/back in numerical order. Plus the 4 star can act as a pun as that one is Gokus main Dragon ball, and 4 is seen as the number representing death.
I had an idea for a ghost dark type called drequrigus (cofagrigus (coffin, sarcophagus, grim, grief and egregious) + Dracula and requiem) which holds the skull of a human it killed. Lore: when yamask migrated to the globalis region 100 millennia ago, they split into 2 groups. One went to the peak of globalis’s highest mountain (mt eternum) and meditated, becoming Opharigus. The other group traveled to haunted locations across the region, though a small majority went to the everlost forest, the most haunted location in the Pokémon world. Though, this had an odd side affect. A group of humans traveled to the everlost forest and they encountered the yamask…however none made it out alive. The yamask killed them out of fear. The yamask grew a form of attachment to the skulls of the humans and collected them, viewing the skulls as trophies like we humans view sports awards as trophies. after a while of holding the skull, it evolved into an eldritch monster, DREQURIGUS. With a special attack of chandelure and vikavolt, plus the special defence of umbreon and cursola and the speed of a barraskewda to boot, drequrigus is something not to be messed with. Moves it can learn include shadow ball, dark pulse, poltergeist and two signature moves. Bloody rain, a special dark type move which drains the victim’s health and heals the user by 50% of the damage and possess, a one use dark type move which takes control of a fainted Pokémon to act like a substitute doll, only it can fight back. (I very heavily based drequrigus off vampires and most obviously, Dracula) To evolve globalian yamask into drequrigus, you must beat 30 Pokémon, specifically 15 ghost types and 15 dark types. There’s another globalian yamask. But it becomes opharigus (cofagrigus and Ophanim), a ghost and psychic type. The globalian yamask that becomes opharigus holds a golden ring. Lore: when yamask migrated to globalis, groups split to go out on their own. Some migrated to places known to be haunted and eventually became one version of globalian yamask, which become drequrigus. The other half, went to the peak of the highest mountain of the region, mt eternum. There, these yamask meditated and unlike the feral yamask in the haunted locations, gained the psychic type and can become, OPHARIGUS. With the special stats of drequrigus and the speed of an iron bundle, Opharigus can contend with its wicked counterpart. Opharigus gets 2 signature moves of its own, one is holy wrath. A powerful special attack that has a 50% chance to lower the opponent’s special attack by a stage. The other is resurrect, a single-use move that fully revives a Pokémon, as if the player max revived the Pokémon. (For Opharigus, I took inspiration from the biblical angel, Ophanim). To evolve this globalian yamask into Opharigus, you must take an attack and survive on 1HP and not faint after the attack, before travelling to the peak of mt eternum itself. If it’s through sturdy and entrainment, a focus sash, endure, affection or even a lucky focus band activation, as long as you’re on 1HP and climb to the peak of mt eternum, your yamask will evolve into Opharigus and become closer to the heavens.
I really like the designs but most of them doesn't fit the actual theme, yamask is a spirit that first grabs onto a part of its grave ,then the entire grave, like coffin mask and then entire coffin, rune chunk and entire rune stone,in that sense none of them fit with the theme
Honestly, the electric Yamask and Smararigus is my absolute favorite. If I were to make a Pokemon region based on my homeland and the surrounding areas (exactly like what you're doing) I would DEFINITELY incorporate this into it. There are PLENTY of horror characters that I know would haunt TVs like Smararigus; Cartoon Cat, Bendy, possibly even Sonic.exe. There's lots of opportunities here.
1:27 I too was hoping Yamask and Cofagrigus would be part Steel, especially since Cofagrigus' Pokedex entry states that their bodies are covered in Gold (and like to eat Gold nuggets), which is one of The Precious Metals in The Periodic Table. Plus, your Minerigus is an interesting Regional Variant for the Coffin Pokemon for your Region.
4:02 actully its Turkish evil eye (translated to turish is nazar boncuğu (evil eye talisman) and from old Turkish religion its covers you from bad looking eyes
These concepts are still cool but instead of them being regional variants what if it had a prevo that will evolve into a specific yamask depending on what item it holds when it evolves
is the dark type cofagrigus an actual Cofagrigus, or is it like perserker or runerigus where it evolves from an regional variant with an existing evolution but has it's own pokedex number
I made a Ghost and Space type form of Yamask. Helkosian Yamask, the Spirit Pokemon. A Ghost/Space type. These Yamask cling to and wear their old space helmet they used to wear when they lived. They always try to go back to the stars, but the helmet weighs them down. Ability: Mummy or Wandering Spirit When leveled up in Astral Peaks while holding the Flash Engine item at night, Helkosian Yamask will evolve into... Astrorigus (Astronaut + Cofagrigus), the Astral Spirit Pokemon. A Ghost/Space type. Astrorigus are said to be born from people who died in the vast reaches of space. They cling onto launching space shuttles, hoping to complete their last assigned mission. Abilities: Mummy, Wandering Spirit, or a new ability called Liftoff. The user gains +1 Speed everytime it uses a vanishing move. (Moves like Fly, Dig, Phantom Force, Dive, etc).

I think the way shenrigus would move around is the 2-7 star dragon balls make a wheel sort of shape and the 1 star would be in the middle connecting it all together
Honestly they all are really cool. Even the parody ones.
Another suggestion for the fire type or dark type
It’s the spirit of people who’s revenge doesn’t go through and they haunt those wronged them
I was literally searching for this and then your notification popped up. Talk about perfect timing XD
What if letting your Yamask hold a certain item determined which form it becomes and evolves into later? You could use the dark type Yamask, but maybe you don’t want Coffingrigus, so you swap it out at the last level for the fighting type one.
I love that each yanmask has different eye patterns and I love that the ice one is happy :D
Ngl, Brusierigus is one of the best fakemon I've seen recently
I’m happy to see a video on different types of Yamask!
The Rock-type Yamask evolution into Resurigus is so cool, especially since it is steeped in pokemon’s lore. Love this concept!
Cool dont remember asking
My favourite yamask had to be the ice type one and there evolution cause they were both really cute. If they appeared in a Pokémon game they would definitely be on my team
the yanmask now has a new lore: it is found holding a strange tape, it finds a rotom screen, to watch it, once it does it's mind makes it evil, entering the rotom.
im just gonna say this for all of the comments you posted
I think the flying type yamask was my favorite, he's cute
I always loved this line. Real cool seeing the fan made alt types. The rock and dark ones are so cool. The dragon one feels a little, idk, uninspired?
These are all so cool! really liked the rock type and flying type varients. Im also glad to see yamask and cofagrigus being talked about because of its galarian forms, I’ve always though yamask and its evolution cofagrigus being uncommon but im always happy to see people talk about it and shed light on these spook-tachular pokemon :)
I think we need a few more variants that still hold onto the whole historical artifacts theme.
2:55 as a person who just watched every episode that's out on pokemon journey,I'm proud to know what an old amber is
And I researched it, knowing it when I joined. Theres no need to be fucking proud of nothing
@@clay_alt2694 bro chilllllll
The Fairy-, Dark-, and Electric-types are definitely my favorite. These were really cool.
Great vid man! I love all the variants because of my love for cofagrigus and runerigus but out of the new ones both bruiserigus and it’s pre evo have awesome designs!
2:47 This is absolutely terrifying and I love it
Tikirigus looks insane and has a really good typing (Ghost/Fire) though Stuffirigus is pretty cool as well
the normal type was just PERFECT!!! i loved it sm
What if team Rocket grunts shoved people into Bruiserigus to get them to talk.
“So you don’t want to talk, huh? Vinny, put him in the Bruiserigus.”
Bruiserigous is the Pokémon version of:
Everybody gangsta till the bag punch back
5:37 imagine if one of this yamasks trade this stake for one whip and becomes belmontrigus ksksksksk
not gonna lie, this would be a really cool mechanic for yamask, like depending on what item you gave it to hold it would evolve into a different form
If I made a grass type yamask it would be a jack-o-lantern and evolution into a scar crow
Resurigus seems like he’d be on a kids tv show for comedic effect. He’s got the stage presence for it, look at that smile!
Wow first Deadbedspread posting all differednt types of Phatumps and now u posting about different Yamasks....Truegreen7 posted a new video...now this is what i call a good day
I honestly love all of the designs. Well bar the poison one, so much potential thrown to a bad pun and callback to the world's pause button
Stufferigus is BRILLIANT
Yeah! I really wish it existed! In the games. I am not asking to be eaten by a ghost plushy.
What type is stufferigus?
@@AllaiBetheodd ghost/normal
Resurigus’s design looks amazing! It’s a pity that it isn’t actually in the game though.
The Cvd19 one had me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is like a cake with 100 cherries on top, Yamask and Cofragrigus have always been one of my favourite Pokémon ever since they first released in gen 5, great work
I have made 2 and a half Yamask and evolution designs myself...
One called Geargarigus a old abandoned toy in a old toy factory that got possessed by a Yamask that hold the key. (Based on the old spring loaded toys.) (steel)
Another called Cloakarigus, a Yamask that don't hold a item that always feel lost and naked withouta item. But later find a special cloak or blanket and decides to wear it. (Normal)
/But the half part of it is that I redesigned it as a experiment and instead made a design based on a classic yellow rain coat.
A Yamask that is holding a furby is ghost and dark type, definitely
Yamask is the most fun pokemon to create a new variant. Change my mind
idea for another Toxic Yamask, make it about those who died in the black plague. the eye markings could resemble boboes, the iconic mark of Yerstinia Pestis, and it carries a plague doctors mask. Called: Yermask
any ideas for an evolution?
New Idea for an ice type: Those who got lost and died on mt. silver as a reference to the creepypasta "lost on mt. silver." Its eye marks resemble icecicles, and it holds the hood of the coat it froze in. Called:
Frigimask.
Called:
Hypofragius
So you're telling me that accurate angels look like this? 4:11 they don't look like the ones you see in movies and cartoons? Wow, for angels they are terrifying. Also the dragon type yamask and shenrigus is my favorite.
Eeehhhh...there's angels in the Bible that are indistinguishable from humans as well. There's a wide variety.
@@BJGvideos I think most became their human form in the presence of humans, but in the presence of god they would be biblically accurate angels
@@mranima748 There's also different classifications and ranks as well
I think this is my most favorite video on Pokémon evolution and plus I love how their eyes correspond with what their about to evolve into or how their face expression changes😍
I don't care if it's your favorite😍
Ratio nerd
1:54 You should wear Ya mask!!!
One of the best videos I've ever seen it makes me like yamask even more
The Dragon Coughfragrigous is cool and all but i wanna suggest a small design change.
(I very heavily based drequrigus off vampires and most obviously, Dracula)
To evolve globalian yamask into drequrigus, you must beat 30 Pokémon, specifically 15 ghost types and 15 dark types.
I love the rock and water types evolution so much!
2:06 nice name and also what it does is nice
These are so fun and creative, some of the back stories are crazy
Stufferigus is my favorite. I love it's design and the backstory, kinda reminds me of FNaF which is one of my favorite franchise
1:14 you know, that eye, looks awfully familiar... SANS UNDERTALE?!
Stuffagrigus is something I never knew I needed in my life - Mimikyu is one of my favorite Pokémon and that mon absolutely reminded me of him.
These concepts are still cool but instead of them being regional variants what if it had a prevo that will evolve into a specific yamask depending on what item it holds when it evolves
4:34
Me: bro I don't think I'll get it but maybe a snowma-
Me some seconds later: OFC ITS A FREAKING SNOWMAN
is the dark type cofagrigus an actual Cofagrigus, or is it like perserker or runerigus where it evolves from an regional variant with an existing evolution but has it's own pokedex number
Coughagrigus: “PUT A DAMN MASK ON!!”
5:32 the dark type cofagrigus should. Be called vapagrigus like vampire and cofagrigus
VAPEaregius
The normal and rock type ones are definitely my favorite
The psychic and dark ones weren't bad either
The rest were bad
Art is insanely good keep this up
5:55 that has to have been inspired by the SCPs
Most likely the ring
I made a Ghost and Space type form of Yamask.
Helkosian Yamask, the Spirit Pokemon. A Ghost/Space type. These Yamask cling to and wear their old space helmet they used to wear when they lived. They always try to go back to the stars, but the helmet weighs them down.
Ability: Mummy or Wandering Spirit
When leveled up in Astral Peaks while holding the Flash Engine item at night, Helkosian Yamask will evolve into...
2:31 ANIME BOIIIIII-
Yas
EPIC types/variants! You rock too hard
