@@tony1992able naw i'm still playing tear and the modern tear vs tenpai matchup still is in the Tear's favor. We don't really care about board breakers, the shufflers can win games by themselves, and can make a lot of interruption. Don't get me wrong tenpai can still win, it's just that most likely tear will win.
@@Seidot_yes but they are at 1 copy each making it only 2 cards in the entire tear deck. You don't call the deck ishizu tear anymore because of that. Otherwise the entire deck could be Hero (if using the Mali package for Beatrice) Ishizu Kash(Fenrir+TearKash) Shaddolls(if on Beast and Hel for the winda play) Tear. Hence it's just now Tear to make things easier unless it has a 2ndary engine to get it going like the Horus stuff.
The difference is tear is hard even if you prepare for it, if you prepare against kashtira it becomes really easy to beat. Still, love tear, hate kashtira.
Some of those were close calls, like the unfortunate drytron brick as one more name wins the game there, or if lithium picked a more hand trap heavy list, so no raigeki or superpoly, tenpai's road would've ended sooner Also no custom side decks means that if tenpai eventually joins the cbc fully, they'll be massively favoured against almost every deck
Not to mention Tenpai is susceptible to the sideboard a lot of decks can tech in cards they can access via engine that can shut them down, going first, in OCG SE plays Lyrilusc Nightingale for instance, Tear could do shit like Rise to Full height target a monster than pop it with the field spell or fuse it away or Electromagnetic turtle etc. Meanwhile Tenpai almost gains nothing postside if the opponent chooses to go second so they can abuse Heat Wave and similar in fact if you gamble on your opponent going second and they go first you now can brick on those cards.
I think tenpai might be having the despia situation Like when despia was the best on release when people were playing stuff like droll, magicl spring or ghost ogre to stop the adventurer engine And then when the adventurer decks got hit despia became worse instead of getting better because people started playing dbarrier and ash more And just like branded, in theory tenpai is extremely easy to side against, but no one is siding against them in snake eye format for obvious reasons
It's definitely below Snake Eyes, and hard loses to multiple side-deck counters. I mean, you can literally just Waboku or Threatening Roar and you get another turn.
The unchained could have won 😞 With the same board (caesar, yama in GY, ash, trap + sharv) Rage is useless in the MU, but abominable soul is broken So when you get LS, just summon a lvl3 body off chamber (reborn or ss from deck doesnt matter) and RAKEA (from the 2nd trap eff or yama + pop) and you just pop lvl3 with rakea on battle, abominable soul the chundra and you can ash the quickspell
I was very confused seeing the board vs Unchained and saying “yeah this should be the game” while you have two monsters against four IN THE BP. Surreal
Most of these matches featured decks opening brick hands, doesn't feel like the matchups were shown accurately. Decks with historically hand-trap resilient hands were folding to an Imperm or an Ash, enabling far too easy OTKs.
Idk why but even after seeing this video it doesnt feel like tenpai is all that good its cheesy because of the field which i hope get banned or limited
playing tear is RNG sometimes but no other deck in history gives the opponent the feeling that he cant play, worse is played by the opponent,it plays on your turn, even if you open,it mills frrom both decks and is able to control both graveyards with their shufflers,it puts up a board you gotta play around so it already manipulates the lines you can actually play, and on turn 3 when you are trying to deal with their board it can still interupt you once more, ofc its RNG but if it hits sth your done, and the coin toss who is going first/second doesnt really matter, even full anti decks are struggling cause they cant keep up with their resource,i got the feeling you gotta mystic mine them, shuffle every card back to deck, floodgate them in any way and then still summon a 8000 attack hayate to go for game,it sounds exagarated but it is the feeling
while ish tear is still RNG of course, i feel like when i see them get 20 cards in their gy after just a few effects, it doesnt exactly scream "RNG" lmao pre-ishizu tear or modern tear is much more RNG reliant, because the odds of winning arent like 80%
Tear Ishizu was not really RNG, we did have everything at 3 so it didn´t matter what you open, you always had something to play in your hand and every mill was a guaranteed interaction. The deck was beyond any other decks. Even now with this matches that lithium show us, the new decks just get humble when they go against Tear Ichizu, that´s why we have half a deck ban. It was necessary
@@christianordonez9231 snake eye could've beaten them had they gone for apo boards, and that's despie tear having a huge advantage in the cbc format since they play little non engine, so no custom sides doesn't really affect them Tear probably won't be humbling most decks though as their going 2nd gameplan is mostly reliant on hoping to open orange light And tear had to get every card hit because of the way the deck is designed, where they don't have one key card but multiple power cards, similar to zoo or dlink for example The amount of hits doesn't really mean anything though, like for example danger thunder has more hits than ishtear and zoo, doesn't mean they're the stronger deck
