Great video man - just subscribed! I always found it confusing initially when i was looking to build a bowa as to what the best bow was to use but this makes it really clear and touches on all the pros and cons.
Couple of questions, what's your thoughts on Fortitude vs Enigma for your multi shot bowa? I'm running Fortitude on my Faith GMB + Pride bowa but have been tossing up moving to Enigma although it would mean i'd have to shift up my gear to cater for FCR.
Second question, i noticed on your Faith CMB + Pride setup you're running CoH on your merc, what was the reasoning behind that vs say Fortitude?

For your second question, CoH boosts the merc's might aura by 2 levels which acts like 20 Dexterity worth of damage for the bowazon 👍

I also tested a few builds including faith, but I had a certain restriction. I want to keep my inventory as empty as possible. It turns out that without charms windforce becomes competitive again.
I'm using strafe with wf with max dmg ed jwl, forti, kira with 30 max dmg jwl, razortail, wt, atma, loh and 2 carrion wind for dozens of twisters. I'm still torn between faith a1 merc and pride or reaperstoll a2 merc with hustle offhand buff.
Charms do add a lot of damage which benefits faith more than WF. The charms do add a lot of attack rating which windforce needs, but if you're strafing then attack rating issues aren't as bad as with multi shot. Act 1 faith Merc has quite a small aura radius which can be annoying when your first 1-2 strafe volleys in a fight are not boosted.
Where does a shael windforce with an a1 faith merc come in the ranking?
Is it possible to use the said above gear to build around using a wisp for heart of the wolverine with the goal of keeping the summon alive for the additional 48% damage?
The WF + faith merc combo was not in the top 3 of this video but would have been close. This combo was featured in the other video for "best value" builds.

I tested the old calculator for strafe were it's stated that you need 80 ias with Windforce when using strafe to reach last attack speed breakpoint.
Now the new calculator by Warren says that you need 157 ias for the last breapoint...do you know wether the 4+2+6 (=157ias) breakpoint exists? Or is 5+3+7 (80ias) the last one?
I do yes :) You can reach 120 ias for the 4+2+7 breakpoint as well - each arrow still shoots at 2 frames per shot, just has a slightly slower finishing animation.
@@Bowazon so actually the breakpoints in warrens calculator are correct and exist? I could not see any difference in my test here we're I had Windforce and 80ias withouth fana aura and then the same with 50ias + lvl 14 fana aura...
According to warrens calculator the 50ias/14 fana should be faster, right?

what do you think of an a5 frenzy merc w/ Law Bringer/Last Wish? You get the Might Aura, Sanctuary (to break undead phys resist [ghosts and such]), then either Life Tap/Decrepify depending on the curse thats active. Its what I run w/ my GMB Faith, helps when you dont have Atma's.
Based on my last testing a while ago, the physical resistance vs undead is only broken for the merc that has the aura so it won't affect your damage.
You will still benefit from the decrepify physical resistance drop, but you're also sacrificing a lot of damage using this combination since that might aura will also be lower than what you could normally get with an act 2 merc.
Act 5 merc could be better for merc survivability in niche situations like vs death lords though.
I got an a5 merc with lw and hustle. i dont calculate stuff much but feels good to have it. im using WF with a jah in it.

Hello! Normally I'd suggest going grand matron bow, but since you're wanting to use atma's with strafe (I assume, not frenzy right?) and follow up with multishot, the matriarchal bow will have some slightly more multishot and guided arrow DPS assuming you have enough max damage charms, though you'll still get more strafe DPS with the grand matron bow.

Any thoughts on self-wielding windforce with an act 1 merc wearing a faith bow?
It's quite good, just not as good as self-wielding faith or Windforce + pride combination. The main factor at least when running is you don't always have full uptime on the merc's fanaticism aura due to being far away at the start of an engagement.
I decided to go with a Bowazon for the rest of this ladder season. I currently am rocking Windforce, Fort, LoH, Atma, Gore, Andys, Nos belt. My merc is using Reapers. What should I prioritize getting next? should i be getting Pride for my merc or looking to get a GMB Faith for self use?
I would be looking at getting Pride first over a Faith. More affordable than Faith and a clear buff in damage. I also suggest getting a cat's eye for faster run walk, you can then switch to razortail for added damage and reach 100% pierce. War travs over Gore riders too.

@@partyguyfsu26 There's 3 key items to get: enigma, perfect war travs and perfect gheed's charm. These 3 together provide up to 189% MF without sacrificing clear speeds too much. After that, stack 3 max/7% mf charms, find some rare gloves and ring with MF on them and look at using gold wrap.
Is it a major deal breaker to have a +1 skill faith bow instead of a +2? Or would it depend on the fanaticism lvl that was rolled? Assume it’s on a GMB.
Not really no, unless you're looking for perfection. +1 skill is probably equivalent to 1 level of fanaticism, but you should really have minimum level 13 fanaticism.

I wonder if utilizing metal grid now that it's been fixed can somehow push this build farther. Only thing I can think of is replacing the mercenary Aura with blessed aim. Although you would have to be balling to be able to afford losing an iron golem of that value.
I gave it a shot in one of my videos a little while back. Even though on paper it sounds good, in the end while it wasn't a complete disaster, it isn't something that is very viable either.

Question regarding TvT pvp bowazon. What in your opinion is top gear for a bowazon that gets level 18 fanat and 20-24 might from teammates? A mist bow for conc or what? Ty
Depends on how many team mates. Windforce if you can also get a hammerdin with concentration. Mist will be good for that all res and life though but I still wonder if WF does more DPS regardless.
Regarding fanaticism, the aura has a short radius so you will need to stick together.

For DPS purpose, not thinking on value, what would do the best damage? Windforce + Faith? Winforce + Pride? Faith + Pride? Just for saying, i like much more to use a teleport staff on weapon swap for move speed and repositioning yourself and merc.
One thing i'm thinking about is to fullfill the inventory with 2-99 lightning damage small charms. Yes, they're rare as ****, but, for final damage purpose, making some maths, I think it would deal much more damage than 14maxdmg GC and 3/20/20, even if having three damage auras. And also provide a high damage of another source for physical immunes.

Thank you 👍 these days windforce + pride has a slightly higher DPS potential but it requires using hustle on swap for that. Faith + pride solves more attack rating issues and is better before you hit level 99 and also allows you to use harmony on swap or that teleport staff that you mentioned.
I don't recommend a teleport staff however because it's costly or fiddly to keep the charges up and Amazon teleport frames are bad. Repositioning Merc can easily enough be done by running as long as you have fast enough runs speed (harmony).
As for 99 damage lightning charms, they don't actually work out to be more damage since lightning damage can't crit and you lose out on attack rating and leeching effectiveness as well as a second mod on the charm.
@@Bowazon So, Windforce on 9 frames attack speed with Concentration and Might would do more damage than on 7 frames attack speed with Faith? Without Fanatscism, it would require using an armor with IAS jewels to reach the 8 frames, and I dont think it's possible to reach the 7 frames. But maybe 9 frames with Fortitude, Concentration and Might really does more DPS. Thanks again!
@@pauloagustinhofilho4432 yes windforce + pride will get you to 9 frames. The new runeword hustle (used on swap) allows you to proc burst of speed which immediately takes the build to 8 frames. I should qualify that using hustle is a little annoying since you have to proc it first and it only lasts for 2 minutes. Without hustle, faith + pride still has the highest DPS.

@@pauloagustinhofilho4432 I can't remember if you can, but in any case it's not a good idea because the aura radius is way too small, you won't be in it most of the time.
Here is a question, what would be better, a faith mb at 7 fps or a faith gmb at 8fps? I don't really feel like needing to reach that perfect 7 fps on the gmb, the gear is way too limited and I'm now playing on HC so I want to use vamp gaze and string of ears
As long as you have enough max damage from charms and items, I'd give the edge to the matri bow for flexibility and how it feels to play. If you weave in strafe as well, you can squeeze in atma's amulet for amp damage. If you use razortail, the down side is finding a dual leech ring which can be rare or expensive.

Hi and good videos you are doing, I am using WF with a act1 merc with a Shadow faith bow 12 / 1 . Did a new faith bow in a GMB and it also rolled very bad 12 / 1 and I am wondering if its worth to reroll it? Want to run an act 2 merc with pride so I have to have a good Faith bow.
Hello mate. 100% if you want to self-wield a faith GMB, you should reroll that to get something with minimum fanaticism level of 13. Level 12 fanaticism won't let you hit the fastest breakpoint without sacrificing fortitude.

Hey bowa, would the #1 late game build in this video still be viable with Faith GMB if its a 1/3/15 roll instead of a 2/3/15? And are these builds still holding up with 2.6 as of today, or are there any tweaks?
The video here is largely still up to date. Windforce has a little more options with a hustle prebuff at the cost of run/walk speed but not quite at the level of faith still.

@@D.R.P91 15 fanaticism is definitely good enough. Faith really stands out with its ignores target defense and attack rating bonuses too. Playing in terror zones with a Windforce, I was not able to get above 90% for most monsters even with maxed penetrate and an inventory full of max damage charms.
Faith allows you to hit 95% on most monsters as well as give you that easy 7 frame attack.
Windforce does scale in damage the more you level, but still doesn't quite catch up in the end.
so what skillls did u put in number 1 build? i use this build currently
Max crit, guided arrow and pierce, level 20-22 multi after +skills, level 15+ magic arrow, some points in valkyrie. Strafe is optional and mostly a 1 point wonder unless you want to use it more often for some reason.
what is 3rd best option for physical bowazon except Faith (and other equal or higher runewords) and Windforce ? Buriza ? based on P8 cows.
There aren't really a lot of choices here: faith and windforce are in a league above everything else. Mist in a GMB is probably the next best option.

@@nickelodeon1989 yeah requires a cham. If you're playing online, a Cham rune is cheaper than a Jah rune in trade value.
For no high rune options, an upped (pul + lum) buriza hits hard but shoots slowly. You can use hustle on swap with strafe to trigger BoS and speed this up to a somewhat ok attack speed of 11 frames, but it will still feel slow compared to a bow.

@@sHaggyXXII if your build can benefit from the IAS, then treachery is the way to go.
Would a Jeweler's 4 socket armor ever be worth it for the 7 Frame GMB, 1 15/40 jewel, and rest rare 18 18 min/max jewels?
It's the way to get the highest DPS possible out of this build, but you lose some survivability or the ability to teleport (enigma) from this for what is a 10% DPS gain over using fortitude.
The +18 jewels are also incredibly rare, each one I predict would be worth 60+ Jah runes in the market place.
I love the Thundergod's on my cold sorceress .. along with 85% light resist I am immune to black souls in players 1 .. however a nasty surprise in players 2 and above I am NOT immune ))
It's kind of murky when you consider that souls not long ago seemed to do more damage before than now. Worth testing this further.
So I am wondering which is better, a 45ias/45max or a 45/120ed helm.
Scored a 45ias/55dmg helm for cheap and started to wonder if getting a 45/120 helm would be better 🤔
For faith, generally speaking a 45max is better, but it comes down to your build and this is based on having max dex, might and pride Merc and so on. For PvP for example, 120ed is better.
What about wf with faith merc, any good?

What is ias req for best frames at level 13 fanaticism on faith?
Hello. Depends on which faith base you have used here. For GMB, a level 13 fanaticism is the same as a level 15 one: 95% IAS to reach 7 fpa. For diamond/shadow bow, you will need 70% IAS for the same. For a matriarchal bow, I believe it is 45% IAS still but it's best to check using a tool like maxroll's d2 planner tool.

Viable, but you're really better off just using another max damage charm.
I'd say it's good only of you have a way of getting the 95% down- either reaper's or atma, or WWS dunno. Otherwise it's just a troll.
What’s the full gear if go for GMB faith? And what would be the pierce rate?

I found that a lightning sunder charm, infinity merc and stack a shit load of lightning dmg is actually disgusting. Better than the gigaexpensive phys builds. you have to hunt lightning rbf's and buy a ton of lightning sc's - shocking grand charm of storms can have 2-112 lightning dmg too, use a dream for holy shock aura to add a ton of lightning dmg to attacks and add passive aoe aura dmg
2-112 lightning grand charms are actually quite bad in damage. With such a build, you really want small charms with 2-99 lightning damage each. Even with a max inventory of these small charms, maybe they do slightly more DPS than a physical build, but your merc with infinity needs to be in range of mobs for you to deal that full damage. You also need to round up like 30+ of these perfect roll charms, which is also going to be expensive, take forever to get, or both.
Struggling with chaos p8. Diablo himself qlways destroys merc. Have same gear but less gg charms and headpiece. Will atma's perform better in chaos even with the 1 pb less?(no 20 ias from cat's/highlord's). Could use hustle instead of forti to raise pb back.

Hello. Flickering flame on the merc solves some issues with merc survivability. Reaper's toll (Ber) also does help against Diablo and is not a bad spec all round if you can't be bothered swapping between pride and Reaper's.

I was thinking strafing a lot(it seems to kill as fast as multi) with atma and hustle... did you try something like that? Or just go down a bp and strafe with forti and atma.
I already put all my skill poins into the physical tree(maxed strafe and synergies).

@@Houster1000 cheers :) so highlord's over cat's eye for this chaos build because we're using enigma and so don't need that faster run/walk anymore. That extra deadly strike will become more useful as well as that extra lightning resist. For strafe and multishot, strafe does work well fine and with Atma's will work well, but generally multishot's sheer arrow count per second outplays strafe in high density open area situations, where as strafe is better in more enclosed situations where monsters are lined up or clumped up together.
@@Bowazon hmph... so maybe work like a necro, strafe to apply the curse, then attack(multi). I'll try. I like my chars able to farm in various areas so amp is a must I think, together with a sunder.

Btw, I see in your builds sometimes the headpiece has max damage and sometimes ed, which is best? or rather which is best in what situation?
@@Houster1000 the problem with strafing as a way of applying the amp is it detracts from using multishot but it can be potentially dangerous being in strafe lock surrounded in an open area, so your playstyle will also need to be adjusted for that too. That said having 1 breakpoint lower may help bridge the gap between strafe and multishot there.
For the circlet in PVM, max damage is better for faith but Ed is better for Windforce.
is bether crown 45 ias 120 ed?
45 max is slightly better for pvm. For pvp the 120 ed is more ideal.

LoH has also 20 Attack speed and so much more Damage against Demons. What else is so good on Lava goud???
I recommend LoH as well. There aren't any demons in the cow level however so lava gout is more useful there.

Ordinary gloams/souls aren't too bad but when a unique one with conviction shows up...
Bowazons can always stay out of range of conviction in that case. The short clip in this video was me just screwing around showing their damage.

I think these 3 bow are the best 3 no doubts. But their rank may varies slightly if you definite "the best" differently.
No doubts, GMB will have the highest dps and excel in cow level. But, i think diamond bow will be more suitable for pvp. While MB faith will be better for overall map clearing speed if you run a wide variety of maps due to its flexibility.
In this case, it's for a predominantly multishot build. There's some great hybrid alternatives if you want to swing that way 👍

All bowazon types are great options. I personally like frost maidens for its shattering monsters but multi is great, fire is great once you reach higher gear levels. Pick what flavour you're drawn to and see if you like it 👍

6 frame mbow faith is actually the best but it was patched.

why am I the only person mentioning how it's all the same runeword... and that literally every other bow is obsolete... why is that not recognized as stupid? By the time you get level 80-90+ what's the point of any unique bow? considering that's when they tend to drop from bosses/mobs.. I hate 1.10+ and I miss 1.09 when things were much better.
Faith kicks Windforce out of the top 3, but it's by no means a bad bow.
While not everyone likes that faith is top tier, it at least introduced an alternative option for bowazons where previously there weren't any unless you joined PvP leagues that banned Windforce as part of their rules, in which case you had to fallback to using cruel shadow/matriarchal bows.
@@Bowazon what I mean is, what level are you by the time you find a WF, and what current bow did you have when you found the WF :P it's simply obsolete by the time you even get that lucky for it to drop. the loot tables Blizzard comes up with in their games are a joke on how they work for when you find them.
@@scottybeats5328 based on my level 99 climb last season (3), I got a Windforce around level 80 (traded for using my um rune) and switched to faith at level 98.
@@Bowazon that's crazy because I got to 99 on 4 different classes before seeing a WF on my 5th toon that got to 86 when it dropped in the pit lolol it's a lvl 73 item
Edit: I got 99 on 3 not 4, my amazon was 93 when I swapped. found on my barb (5th char) and found a total of 1 Jah and 2 Ohms from the bunch.

Why did i dislike ? .. 1 show your skill tree, 2 show your items equipted, we all know what faith gm bow is, 3 show your inventory what scs lcs gcs do u use, is a 3xx 4xx poison sc usefull yes or no ? And last show damage in a 8 player game .

And no, poison damage charms are not optimal for this build.

You don't need luck, charms, fortitude, highlord's, faith, Anni and a torch will get you there no problems.
