Watching Kenny Gioia videos is an iterative process. The more you learn, the more you can go back and watch/re-watch other videos to build and solidify what you've learned.

I used to use Dr. T's T.I.G.E.R. and one feature I loved about it was you could hold CTRL, and click on ZERO in the CC window, then click on 127 anywhere else in the window, and it would automatically draw a linear CC ramp between the two points, you could do the same with Velocity etc..

Thanks for this. I was wondering, is there a way to automate Midi CC Events by drawing curves? Similar to the way you can alt-click and drag item fade curves? I know you can automate pretty much any parameter of any plugin using the track automation lanes but it would be cool if we could do something similar in the midi editor purely for midi CC events.

Nice, I had no idea about the 'dot' next to the recorded CC, that'll save me some time in the future. I was expecting you to create one long rising ramp for all the notes at the end there :)

Great learning. Maybe it already exist as a tutorial, but would love to hear how I can turn a knob or wheel on keyboard into aftertouch control (if there is no aftertouch built in) via Reaper.

hi kenny, very useful video but I still do not understand why you can not draw continuous straight lines in reaper ... in other daws I've seen that you can.

You can use parameter automation instead of MIDI events. There, you draw points, which are connected by a curve of your choosing. You can also use ReaMIDI to automate CC events that way, if you need to do it via MIDI.
MIDI CC will always be discrete steps, so I guess Reaper is being honest about what's "under the hood"? Still, would be nice to couple automation to MIDI tracks.
