Marijuana drastically enhanced my ADHD issues but full spectrum CBD oil had a incredibly positive effect on my ADHD, anxiety, depression, body pains, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
CBD seems to teat a lot of the down sides of THC. So it makes sense that as THC produces some effects similar to ADHD DBD would mitigate some effects of ADHD.

@@dawnkelly804 I would take Dr. Amen with a grain of salt. Many things he writes about are good and helpful advice, but there is also a lot of promotion of his ideas which haven't been verified - some of which may turn out to be true and others not.

Was there any consideration as to what strain of cannabis was used? I have ADHD and use it to manage my symptoms. I tried multiple medications but all gave me some significant side effects. I find that not every strain or terpene is good for ADHD. Some make me more anxious and others help me to focus on tasks. There is a lot more to consider than just the plant in general as it is a lot more complicated than that (the variety of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc.)
Many of the studies that try to eliminate some of the possible variables use just CBD or DBT oils, but then that means we don't get to look at possible interactions between cannabinoids or see the full complexity of the natural herb product(s) might do.
Have you heard of ASMR sir? You're very entrancing and informative to listen to. I'll have to check out if you have other videos because I could listen to you for hours. Very well done.

I started medical marijuana a few months ago for phantom pain (it works great) and noticed it works better at treating my ADHD symptoms than anything I've tried before. I haven't taken my Adderall in 3 months and my productivity has actually gone up. It makes it easy to sit still, it slows down my mind just enough where I can get control of my train of thought (a side effect of that is I now have almost full control of what i hyperfocus on), and it slows down my mind just enough for me to have a second thought about an action before I'm impulsive. I only really get these effects with a dry herb vaporiser. Smoking or eating makes it harder to concentrate. Also I never tried marijuana before my 30s so that could potentially also play a role.
I appreciate you sharing your experience and am glad that it has been so positive. Are you using a primarily CBD (indica) rich variety, or THC (sativa)?

Hey! Dr. Kruse is currently working on fixing the audio for all of these older videos, and this one will eventually be re-posted in the future with better quality sound. In the mean time you can check out all the other videos that have been released in the past few months which have better audio, and some people also like to watch the videos at 1.5x or 2x speed. If you have any questions about this specific topic, feel free to ask them during his weekly Q & A livestreams on Tuesdays! Have a good one!
Different people have different ideas of what "in moderation" might mean, but certainly some of the uncommon bad events, like psychosis, have happened to people who were not using huge amounts each day. And "moderate" daily use has been associated with apathy, low energy, and mild memory issues.
Hello Doctor, i was smoking thc for 15 years and i was trying to stop it for the last 6-8 years but i could not, i knew what i had to but i couldnt get rid of it, so 3 months ago i found out what i have 99% of the ADHD symptoms, i didnt know what ADHD is, so i stopped smoking cold turkey 3 weeks ago and i dont want to go back but insomnia, impulsivity and lack of sleep is kind of killing me. I am living in the Netherlands and here the waiting lists for ADHD treatments is very long, 3 months or more. From some research i did i found out microdosing thc+cbd might help, do you reccomend trying? and would you reccomend any specific strains ? Thank you very much for your informational video, we are lucky there are people like you in our world.
I can't make specific recommendations without having a doctor patient relationship. With my own patients I am much more comfortable recommending cbd than thc because of the (rare) potential for psychosis, which I have seen a few times. I also usually recommend keeping things as simple as possible, so trying cbd alone would be just one intervention whereas cbd + thc would be two at the same time, making it hard to know if one or both are really helping. There are several good CBT-i (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia) programs and apps that may be able to turn the insomnia around.
@@DrJohnKruse thank you very much doctor :) I started doing this and i saw too much improvement in my cravings for thc, is much easier for me to cope with it when smoking CBD. Now i will go and get one CBD oil, do you have any specific reccomendations on dosing ???

Yes even a single dose can lead people with a schizophrenic predisposition to become psychotic.
