I declined to meet with the builder’s security company. Just about to move in and will either put the z wave devices on my own hub, or rip out the stuff supplied by the security company and start from scratch.
Well here's the thing if I use smart bulbs I still have to turn on the lights and the light on the porch and the garage will come on..... the garage lights are bulbs and the porch lights are like these plates with LED in them they are not light bulbs
@@JosephLong-z5s can you replace those? otherwise it sounds like you’d need to hire an electrician. Most homes are wired that way but I can see why you might want to control them independently
DR Horton built my house - Awful quality. They did not even connect the dryer vent to the outside. It dumps into the attic. Drywall is a mess and having just replaced the upstairs flooring....they don't know how to build square. I bet the Cat 6 is holding it together...
Not much of a smart home. Wait until you can control all of the lights, ceiling fans, TV's, bathroom vents, garage doors, locks, cameras, thermostats, and create an AC zone for every room in your house with voice command. And have solar on top of that.
The builder has included just enough to call it smart, the buyers could certainly add a lot more. Seems like most national builders have some sort of smart tech package included on new builds now

I don't like that my front porch and garage lights are connected together I want the garage lights on but not the porch lights
For that you’d need to either hire an electrician or use smart bulbs

Wow! What area do you live in?
The lock on that door isn't plumb... And please fix that screw on the light switch plate before recording your next video...😂
It’s not my house, we went all screw-less plates here
