2021's Trending Google Searches by State
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- Trending search terms were taken from Google's 2021 Year in Search summary. Trending search terms after mid-November 2021 were taken from Google's Daily Search Trends page.
Google Trends provides weekly relative search interest for every search term, along with the interest by state. Using these two datasets for each search term, we're able to calculate the relative search interest for every state for a particular week. Linear interpolation was used to calculate the daily search interest. - Наука та технологія
The real division in this country is everyone pumping $GME while Mississippi was so poor that it had to pump Dogecoin instead.
Yessir.
That was my main take-away too
From mississippi can confirm dogecoin
Thats not entirely it. Its not everyone pumping gme. Its a revoultion of retail investors against corrupt hedge funds and goes much much deeper than a typical pumpm and dump. This applies to amc as well if not more.. You will see these stocks on the news again this year i can promise you that.
not poor
it was ahead of its game
This demonstrates the incredible success of the news at misdirecting attention towards meaningless drivel.
A lot of these had to do with emergency situations and incidents in the country. I was actually quite surprised because I'd assume many places wouldn't care.
Honestly I think it's simply that humans like to learn about the new hot drama. Even if all news were pushed equally, people are going to go after the spicy stuff. Gossip is fun for the majority of humans so they'll do it regardless of how the news is set up.
Everyone: GME! AMC! TO THE MOON!
Mississippi: Uhhh... Dogecoin?
that’s my state 😭😭
Every state: Squid Game
West Virginia: uhhh battlefield 2042?
West Virginia has all the best searches
Had to watch at 0.25x to even process it
Confirmed my suspicions that most Americans are still obsessed with pointless Kardashian-style celebrity gossip.
Biden, GME, Mega Millions, Dogecoin, Power Outage, Valheim, Stimulus Check, Afghanistan, Squid Game, Battlefield 2042, Tornado, Spotify Wrapped? Definitely sounds like celebrity gossip to me /s
@@mooseears9849he wants everyone to be searching how to be a top g or some stupid shit like that
I want a screen showing this map live on my wall
the day the legend went missing…
I miss him
@@sheepgod2008fr I been waiting 3 yrs
I don't know how to feel as I don't remember searching any of these trending items all year.
You should feel proud.
Remember, think of how stupid the average person is then realize half pf them are even more stupid.
Same
@@mr.pavone9719 Why? Afghanistan, Gabby Petito, Brian Laundrie, Tornadoes, Ida, Biden, Power Outages and Stimulus checks all are relevant. There's some pop culture things on the maps, but y'all act like people are stupid for looking up anything that is popular to look up.
@@pawa303 agreed. Like a lot of the map is keeping informed about the state of fellow Americans and stuff that directly effects them. I'm thinking that the people where either didn't watch the video closely enough or think that ignoring world affairs makes them special.
I remember when hurricane ida was trending, because it was a literally category 4 that was headed towards me
@@MemesAndMore33 I know, that was crazy too. Wasn't it like the 16th anniversary of it too?
@@MemesAndMore33 It's like Katrina gave birth years later to a daughter named Ida, who took the similar path to strike louisiana again. Weird analogy but weirdly accurate. Except Ida didn't go through Florida.
@@MemesAndMore33 thanks lol
Sad that this channel died. This is probably one of the most informative channel in youtube...maybe that's why it's shut down?
Omg secret illuminati government did that!!
It's amazing that people across the country, from such different areas and generally interested in very different things, are all Googling the same things at the same time
I am so thankful that my life is so far removed from the mindset of the masses. My only searches show "Gibson Les Paul and Carburetor rebuild kit instructions". 😂
With all the data out there you'd think they would be more specific state by state.. maybe the top 50 searches per state. Now that will help in which direction were going state by state, regional then nationally. Giving ideas to those who are making future plans, single, family, relationships.
That data is definitely out there, but it can't really be showcased in a video like this
What software do you use to make these videos? They are really cool.
I love seeing Mississippi just over there doing their own thing lol
The amount of these that I've actually searched is crazy
As a texan, i understand why Texas most searched was power outage in February
i loved seeing the majority of the country searched for dmx after he passed. made me smile.
California, Texas, New York watching Elon more than anyone else says a lot. Man be strong than US Steel.
Why is there a tornado in December in the East??
Hey Texas, sort out your power grid 🤦♂️
Yeah, we as normal citizens will get right on that
@The Jokebrandt im sure there is still enough money going around to make the power grid work properly though, or maybe it is the size of the state that makes the power hard to keep up
I don't even know what velheim and the weekend are I guess I'll have to Google it lol
Valheim is the best $20 game you’ll ever purchase
And The Weeknd is a Canadian rapper (don't bother looking him up, it's just pointless celebrity gossip)
YYYAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! !! ! ! ! THE LEGEND HAS RETURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!1!
Fantastic visualization!!
DMX WAS a hot topic in 21 cuz he revolutionized the rap game
That's cool asf
0:57 Mayfield tornado jumpscare
love the part where Afghanistan takes over the US
Crystalizing Public Opinion by Edward Berynays
What is GME? GameStop Stock?
GME is GameStop stock, AMC is AMC Theatres stock. Both trends were the byproduct of Reddit users bankrupting hedge funds who shorted (hopes that the share price would go down) both stocks
0:59 everyone (almost) searches up tornado, even alaska
Mississippi got me laughing for some reason 😂
Keep up the good work making new videos!
My country(top 5):
1 Butter
2 Prince Philip
3 Squid Game

How do u do different countries?
AMC stock ready to take over the map
Mississippi: DETHRONED 0:22

I noticed it didn’t include any adult sites 🤔

Drew Durnil, that's all
why does it start on Jan 6? what were people searching in the first five days of the year?
The assault of the Capitol and Congress.
@@ivanpiniella peaceful protest.. just like during the summer except no rioting or fires..
@@ivanpiniella yes genius that was on jan 6, now what was the major search terms PRIOR to that event? catching on yet?
@@zelenicaljubljanica5410 you mean the totally "peaceful protests" they called it, as an excuse to cause destruction and loot. Right?
@BlueWarHead Still, BLM is a terrorist organization and Donald Trump's "Insurrection" was a mere gathering.
Afghanistan Got Searched A lot Bruh
Obviously. Cause of Biden's dumb screwup
The Midwest lingered on Oxford for some time there too

I have no idea why most of these were trending:)
This seems like a light show than a data! What’s the source of this? How many users search data are you showcasing?
Accept it for what it is
People are stupid.
Well that's being a little hypocritical
August, 29 2021 - the south will rise again!! HOORAY
The Republicans like to talk about how they hate communism, but EVERYONE was looking up stimulus cheques between March 4th and March 26th 🤣.
Also, what's up with Texas and blackouts, LMAO!!
Yeah free money is attractive if you hadn't noticed, it probably backfires though
where fortnite
Not here. Bigger things happened..
Really puts into perspective just how basic the average person is. -_- either that or Google is too lazy to be more accurate. There's also a lot of huge things missing from this list, i.e. covid for example among other things, making me skeptical about this video's accuracy. Or the general populace is just ordinary in astonishing numbers.
most people are kinda done caring about covid from my experience, it's just the news that makes a big deal everytime
Yah nobody cares about the propaganda anymore. They need to manufacture a new boogeyman if they want to take any more of my rights.
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique UA-cam video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 1738.
Why are you doing this?
what is video 1739
and what is video 1

This is how I got the idea haha
I see Reddit has a great influence nationwide
i find this so interesting I must have nothing in common with my fellow Americans. Ive watched several of these videos, and I don’t Google these topics.
Sheep
Big bad wolf
I was expecting Arcane to be most searched somewhere in Nov 2021, I was left disappointed
This is the Trending searches, so not the topic which has the most search requests in a given time period, but the item which had the biggest jump in ranking popularity.
So if a topic jumped from the 10000th most popular search to the 50th most popular search in a few hours it appears here. It doesn't mean that it was number 1 at any point.
The measure is designed to show the fastest increase in topic popularity, not popularity itself.
Which the title did say "Trending"
I love how Omar from the wire had his moment
What's up with Mississippi?
Song nane
Song namd
please do one for 2022 we need it
Lol I wanna see if all the states search Twitter or Elon Musk in April 2022
No Covid searches?
This is just 2021. And sorry but the world has moved on by 2021 because it was the obvious not dumb thing to do. If you want to see Covid go to their other trending video and go to mid 2020 you'll see plenty of what you want
Beautiful
I call bullshit
I call not
This is BS. No way Valheim something I've never even heard of was the top search in the entire country.
No way people r searching things u don't know about.... it's the ignorance for me
@@JoseRodriguezFrio I don't live under a rock. I'm pretty sure anyone that uses the internet on a daily basis would know about things that the entire country is searching about
It's a video game who's age demographic makes up the majority of the US population.
@@Jim-vq9yg Doesn't matter, it's no where near the top search results of any day
@@l30red08 Oh, interesting. Are you basing that on data or gut feeling?
Amazing how astonishingly simple minded the majority of Americans are. Not that us Canadians are any better these days.
