If individual townships don't want it, then don't have it. Also cut them from the tax revenue stream generated by the dispensaries. I've traveled from an illegal state where there are none to be seen, to work for months at a time in MI and have visited several dispensaries all over the state. It was generally a pleasant experience. Way too many cannabis billboards on the highway though, but I really hate all billboards anyway, especially the injury lawyer ones.
The only problem I have with legal marijuana is the fact that it takes money out of the individual’s pocket that grows and sells. But I guess that’s the governments plan….to financially break us.
You prefer people going to jail and losing jobs because of criminal records over marijuana in order to keep more money in your pockets? Imagine being such a repulsive little subhuman

@@johnfodo4129exactly! All these 2 bit drug dealers are upset that they are getting put out of business. GOOD I’m glad I hate dealing with shitty weed dealers. The convenience of being able to go to a shop at anytime and get my smoke and be on my way is worth every penny! I hope these black market dealers don’t succeed.
So true. I don’t understand why dispenseries are private property. Like who are they to tell me I can’t come onto their property unless I follow their rules. Now that I think of it, I’d probably have rules for people too if my house was open to the public but on private land.
They are pushing marijuana because Obamacare forbids docs and nurses from prescribing opioid pain meds. The dictum came down in 2008 when like Obamacare politicians and pharma and insurance companies all were given stocks and other benefits and a share of the profits. So they created a phantasm of a plant that can cure and kill any and everything. No matter the ailments the panacea is marijuana and sick pain patients are just asking for pain meds because they are not in pain or mentally ill or they're doctor shopping. But. If sick people in pain are willing to give up a couple hundred bucks for some marijuana these docs and nurses were willing to prescribe. So that's how marijuana is allowed to flourish. While thousands of patients in pain have died or committed suicide and the lawsuits are evidence. Thousands of docs and nurses have died or committed suicide or been imprisoned and license revoked because they dare disobey the order to deny pain meds so insurance and big pharma and private healthcare could get rich off marijuana. All the lawsuits from doctors and nurses attest to the thousands of docs and nurses who have early retired or changed profession. Nobody talks about this marijuana. But there is mountains of evidence and lawsuits about the dangers of this marijuana which is actually marketed for kids. Hence all the cookies and ice cream names. But many marijuana smokers are coming down with incurable disease like the nausea disease. The heart failure. The need for ventilator problems. I'm old school marijuana smokers. But I still prefer to find my marijuana from the street. Or buy my own authentic landrace seeds. But that Obamacare marijuana is not for me.
It’s such a silly hate on such a non bad thing besides the probation side to the people. I never got why anyone would think having a restriction on billboards if it’s not violating any rules and also why is it to be bad near a church or school? if anything it’s the stores rules and they have a lot of them to make sure the person going in is over 21 and knows where and what this store is for. these “news” need to readdress just like mi gov did and stop calling it marijuana, it’s cannabis
They already tried prohibition, it didn't work, all it did was create a criminal syndicate that ran bootleg booze and the homicide rate went through the roof. But try setting up a cannabis dispensary and a majority of the locals will start sharpening their pitchforks and breaking out their "Reefer Madness" textbooks.
WXYZ-TV forgot what metro Detroiters think about the thousands of young people whose lives will not be ruined by a marijuana prosecution. That alone is reason enough to legalize it.
