Some of the Baltic watches use Swiss movements. My Aquascaphe GMT uses the Soprod C125 movement. But, I assume that the band and case are made in Asia.
Why do so many of these "French" brands insist on using the "Swiss Made" seal of approval. Surly they can just put French Made if they are confident in their product even if they decide they have to use a Swiss movement.
The "Made in France" label is severely regulated and I'm pretty sure having a swiss movement inside (such as the ubiquitous 7750 etc) bars the brand from using it.
This is a wonderful video; thanks so much for sharing.! I've always had a great admiration for French aesthetics while a collector of fine watches. So French watches would tick both those boxes in one fell swoop. Is there any watch shop or department store in Paris that retails most if not all of these French brands under one roof so I don't have to run all over France to buy/view these brands?
One of the many french microbrands created during this 10 or last 15 years. Like Baltic, Serica or Fugue in this video but also S.Y.E., Apose, Hegid, Depancel, Neucarl, BeauBleu, Awake, Briston, Charlie Paris and so many more ...
All caliber are made from brass, case stainless or titanium 🎉 , just how it was polished. Standard beat 18000 21000 28800 etc what is what . Looks like or as the Swiss say Copy , but all brand copy each other’s anyway . It all works fine, the volume is the say
@@kindface after a bad experience in two authorised dealers of Rolex I bought a Longines hydroconquest a lovely watch and a Casio g shock to wear for work and saved a lot of money now looking for more Longines watches
You can't be serious! Breguet just created the first wristwatch in the world in 1810 and, a century later, Cartier created the first pilot's wristwatch (for his friend Santos Dumont).
@@jamesblonde2271 do you do it on purpose ? it has been bought in 1999 by Swatch Group so more than 2 centuries after and the brand has been founded in 1775 in Paris by Breguet who was French. When LVMH buy many luxurious brands from Germany (Rimowa) Italy (Bulgari, Loro Piana) USA (Tiffany...), Switzerland ( Tag Heuer) nobody consider all these brands to be French even if LVMH is French
You sure tourbillon was invented in England? (If so, that gives England bragging rights to two of the most significants innovations in the last 2-3 centuries: the tourbillon and the co-axial movement.)
Very watchable, great presentation and beautiful calm clear voice. I do own a Bell and Ross 02 but after watching this video I would like more.
I stumbled upon Serica. And now the 6190 Commando gets a bunch of wrist time. Brilliant watch.
Jaeger lecoultre is half French and half Swiss, should’ve at least gotten a honorable mention but it is very well known in the watch community
You, forgot the lip brand! There are several other French brands.
Yema is very favourite !

Herbelin uses “made in France”
I spend all my time watching these videos it's so hard to choose watches that will suit me and my style
Funny how couple of these french watches read on the dial. Authentic french
And funny how "swiss brands" or "swiss made" ones are know owned buy the French group LVMH! Authentic Swiss. ;)
No Blancpain? Thought they invented the watch game. Anyway my favorite on your list was Serica.
Own, a Serica, Yema, Baltic and Cartier in quality order.
Which order of quality?
Lowest to highest?
Or highest to lowest?

What is so good about Swiss Calibre, as long as it is standard beat
You forgot several French brands : depancel, charlie paris, lip for instance.
Hello there is also Boucheron, there watches from the fifties sixties and into the nineties are truly beautiful. Give them a look
Does F.P. Journe quality as a French watch?
I have a limited numbered Yema Superman from 2017. Love the watch but there 1st Generation in house movement isn't the best.
Il me manque Beaubleu

Tutti basati sui brevetti di Naka Gata
Lip? Le Forban? Wolbrook?

L.Leroy - a watch you (can’t) afford 😂
Do the watches that are made for the French military come with a free white flag?
The French troops were good. The WW ll French senior military were seriously compromised.
Yes, the same you used in vietnam and Afghanistan for exemple
@@christophelacorre1577 And in Coréa also ...

Breguet is Swiss and the tourbillon was invented in England and only improved by Jean Louis😂 This is a nonsense vid

One can.
