Yes. I have a 100. You have arrived in the right place, Max. If only you had called me five years ago I could have saved you all the flipping. Thanks for your thoughtful and great-looking content.
I have a 100 Cartier and it runs perfectly and gives good wrist presence. I have 2 croc straps but found them a bit too ridged for my feel. I got some rubber straps, identical to original strap specs, and it looks really cool. Perhaps not the best Santos for some but personally it floats my boat. Enjoy !
This video is exactly what I needed. I'm on the hunt for a Cartier and I was between the Santos De Cartier and the 100. I do enjoy owning more "unique" pieces and I think I will go for the 100 !!
You may want to check out the Cartier Santos de Cartier Large with the green dial. It comes with the traditional stainless steel bracelet [which is absolutely the best bracelet on the market] and a beautiful green leather strap. Switching them out when needed is ridiculously easy. In my humble opinion, this is the best on most beautiful watch you can buy.
Dont forget to fully explore the Tank series. The current range has lesser seen beauties like the Francaise and American. The vermiel. And my fave the cintree. Theres way more than the classic Louis or Must or solarbeat. If you are a Cartier man then refined, understated elegance must be on your mind? Nothing more emblematic of that than the Tank...maybe ballon bleu.
I love my Santos de Medium and it's maybe the best watch I've ever owned - and yes, if I could just get my hands on an Americaine, I'd probably trade it for that elongated beauty! It's who we are and we can't help it! Great presentation as always - Thanks.
Hands down the best Santos iteration. Everything's perfect. The size, the strap, the right amount of Guilloche on the dial. The shiny bezel gives it the bling but the entire watch still comes as so understated and classy.
Santos is by far the most iconic Cartier watch. The history behind it, involving the aviation pioneer and his watchmaker friend, is the perfect connection between horology and aviation, expressed in the pilot watches.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
I have had a santos 100 for over 10 years. Best damn watch period. Love the size L and the leather strap but its a strap monster if you get bold. Every time i wear it i get a knowing nod from guys who know watches. 😊
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
MAMACOO is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
You can wear whatever you want. No one can judge your change of heart. We all have different taste even with small details. I´m in a similar journey with a cartier i want to purchase once i graduate from my masters and your videos are really helpful.
If you wanted unique and Cartier then the answer is the Cartier Roadster! My search landed on it when exploring the santos and tank models. It's truly the most unique Cartier model and wearable in any situation.
I was hell bent on getting a tank Louis or a must as my first Cartier piece. I never liked the Santos when I first saw them in the early 2000s. Absolutely despised it, especially in the two tone!! And then like every watch enthusiast, I had one of my many mid-life-purge-the-collection moments. Started migrating towards smaller case diameters and voila... The Santos 100 mid sized on an alligator strap with the double deployment butterfly clasp. This piece is so versatile and wears so well across my wrist. Absolutely love the timeless and yet contradictingly brutalist design elements. A keeper if you find one at the right price.
We have quite similar journey on Cartier, and I end up with santos 2319 Galbee, which 29mm is perfect on my 17.5cm wrist. If I'm not a small watch guy, definitely agree the 100 is the best cartier!
Very pleased with the medium blue as although I liked the white it was too formal for me.The two dial finishes, applied markers and loom on the hands is never boring. Now goes with jeans and polo shirt but a strap switch makes it black tie acceptable.By landing this as first and last Cartier saved a long and costly experience.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MAMACOO I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
Great video.. there is a reason the “tank” is the most iconic. By far the best looking on your wrist from the images that you shared on this video. You let your mind get the best of you. Sometimes we get it right the first time…
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MAMACOO's watches are the most intriguing.
I’ve owned this exact watch since 2004…it’s a timeless design. My only criticism is that the bezel is a bit of a scratch magnet due to the case size. So, I will usually wear it with long sleeve shirts.
Got to agree the S100 is a good compromise in terms of size. I've been on a hunt for a Med Santos (curr model), tried the large and it looks too big compared to the medium. The S100 can be had for a reasonable price too. While the current S has also come down from the hype era. White or Blue would be my choice in terms of color. Thanks again for your work M!!
Well I have not been here long as a sub but damn so many Cartier in such short time, I would recommend another collection that Cartier has, but if that’s ur decision
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
I bought the mid sized Santos years ago for 4K in Barbados duty free shop. Since then, I have no desire to buy anything else (even though occasionally I look at the XL version). Together with my Submariner, I think my watch journey is done.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
I viewed this watch at my local jewellery shop a few months ago and I instantly fell in love it. It's the first watch I've tried on that's made me want to buy it there and then. I didn't, but now I might ha
Hahaha finally, you’ve gone to the Santos 100. When I saw this, I know it’s the Cartier for me. Aesthetically and functionality just works for me. Hope this one sticks! 😂 If not, look forward to the next Cartier video 😂
Max, where you changed out your 29mm Santos Gable, I still enjoy my Santos Carree in Or Massiff. I agree with you, the 29mm is rather small for a gent's watch. But remember, they are both vintage pieces and back when they were introduced, (1975-mid 90's), this was an appropriate size for a gent watch. I personally like the Santos in XL with a gold bezel. Another great vid - TYVM
Decades ago, Alberto Santos Dumont gifted the airplane to the world and amazed Paris in a public demonstration. Nowadays, the world celebrates him through two iconic models of watches Cartier Santos and Cartier Santos-Dumont. Maybe he was the first influencer in the world. He used to wear a white Panama hat at that time. It wasn’t common in Europe. Nowadays, people wear that hat model in every single Roland Garros. Alberto was more than a rich person. He was an inventor and a pioneer of aviation. Americans are not good at giving credits to foreigners.
“A rich coffee farmer” It’s just ridiculous to present a pioneer of aviation this way, specially when talking about pilot watches. What an impressively limited knowledge about the rest of the world.
Great video! it seems Cartier Santos has this effect over people, we like them all but there that one detail...and then you find yourself looking for an specific model....
Got the 100 XL. When you come from a Rolex or Speedmaster or even Grand Seiko the Cartier feels cheap and not really horological yet when you’re wearing it it’s so good.
It never ends pal. You always want another, the next one, the new one, the old one, the better one, the next one… there will always be another watch you want. It’s the addiction
Hi Max, finally you have found the best Cartier Santos. In one of your first vídeos about Cartier, I have comented that I ve bought Santos 100 ref 2878 and for me it was by far the best! Love this video!! 😊
Vintage gold Cartier Santos Dumomt are stunning. I think you can find them with a moonphase as well. It’s a solid gold watch under 10k (pre-owned of course)
In hindsight, I think the answer was to put a strap on your Santos de Cartier Medium and keep it. The extended bezel looks perfect with the strap. Its look is transformed. I think it looks better than the Santos 100, which only comes on a strap anyway. Those numerals are too big. You’ll see.
It sounds like you’ve met your wrist companion.🍻 that elusive watch that fits the life that your living ,not one that’s made for the life you wish you were !!! In my case that is the omega tritone titanium rose gold tantalum .
One of my grail watches is the original Santos Dumont in rose gold. It was released at the same time as the 100 , it's thinner and more of a dress watch. It doesn't have the bezel with the screws which really elevates it's look. The clean dial makes it easy to tell the time and it's size makes it manly (though I've seen women wear it as well), check it out...
Cool watch. See you in a few months when you get bored of this one and find another Cartier 🤣
Haha, yup 😔
Yes. I have a 100. You have arrived in the right place, Max. If only you had called me five years ago I could have saved you all the flipping. Thanks for your thoughtful and great-looking content.
Hehe, my indecision has led to lots of content
When i saw the video thumbnail I rolled my eyes so hard. However your intro was very humble and i liked the recap of your journey. Nice video sir
Haha, thanks buddy!

I really enjoyed this video. It chronicles a process that I have been through many times with both watches and motorcycles. Thanks Max.😊

“Slap the croissant out his mouth” 😂😂
Got myself a 2023 ( 8 yr warranty) Santos 100 XL ADLC Rose gold bezel last week instead of the normal steel.. love it!❤
You can wear whatever you want. No one can judge your change of heart. We all have different taste even with small details. I´m in a similar journey with a cartier i want to purchase once i graduate from my masters and your videos are really helpful.
I went with the Carree but I appreciate this video as I have been on this journey for some time myself
Good choice! I have the 100 large and love it. I think it’s the most versatile. It’s dressy of you want.. and sporty if you want.

I thought the same thing and bought my one in 2021. what a great watch congratulations
I've owned this watch about 5 times from the Cronagraph XL to the 38mm , its so unique but strong and looks so expensive, I love it
Bought the 2319 after I saw your video. Couldn’t be happier.

I agree. The Santos 100 is probably the best compromise between the tank and the Santos. I think it’s a great choice.
Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the AMZWATCH’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.

My Cartier journey never started because I swiped left… but that is a fantastic watch 👍🏻
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
Cartier is such a beautiful- timeless watch! Currently enjoying a couple seiko prospex for now.
Fantastic on the black alligator!!🤩 perfect size! congrats...I love Eta top level grade
Hard to beat the jewelry elegance matched with an in-house movement as in the Privée line
Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the MAMACOO’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.

Excellent choice and a long journey to arrive here.
Long and enjoyable!
Haha. Max and the curious case of Cartier. All jokes aside, more power to you man :) It’s a beautiful timepiece!
I’ve owned this exact watch since 2004…it’s a timeless design. My only criticism is that the bezel is a bit of a scratch magnet due to the case size. So, I will usually wear it with long sleeve shirts.
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
Love the khruangbib soundtrack in the background of this video
New Watchcrunch Series: "(I Can't Get No) Santos-faction."
THIS is one of theeeee nicest neo vintage Cartier Santos out there.
The new Cubitus release makes me want this watch even more 😂
This was my first luxury watch and wore it for 10 years daily. Life was simple back then 😅

Agree not a fan of the extended bezel on the newer models. Square bezel all the way. Great video!

For me the best one is the large blue santos. Got mad compliments from girls at work 😊
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. God!!! MAMACOO Who would have thought those gorgeous watches go for that low!!!
I own the Santos 100 XL Chronograph and love itt.
When people are saying MAMACOO is a better option for buying a watch,I very much agree!
I viewed this watch at my local jewellery shop a few months ago and I instantly fell in love it. It's the first watch I've tried on that's made me want to buy it there and then. I didn't, but now I might ha
Took me years to come around to it, you have better taste!
I like the watch I got from MAMACOO. That rubber strap combo looks really cool! Been wearing it since last year and love every minute of it.
Hahaha finally, you’ve gone to the Santos 100. When I saw this, I know it’s the Cartier for me. Aesthetically and functionality just works for me. Hope this one sticks! 😂 If not, look forward to the next Cartier video 😂

The dark grey dial Santos with ADLC bezel is my preferred Cartier. But it's only available as large and I have a 16cm wrist.
Beautiful watch. Its now on my want list.
Wow that clasp is gorgeous! Now I have to add this to my ebay list....Thanks!

@@Afldbr Yes. That is impressive. Typical of North Americans.
The guy could at least consult Wikipedia before making the video.
Well this was a surprise. I almost pulled the trigger on a 100 myself, but I find myself drawn to the even weirder Cartier de Calibre diver!
Really enjoyed the humour here! Great stuff! Personally I can't do square watches: rectangular only (which I love). Don't know why....
Your video got me to the 2319. Still loving it
I like what you chose. I keep going back to my San Martin new model bronze diver on it`s black milanese strap. Just can`t find fault with it.
Got my Santos 100 in 2007 and still love it now. I've put a rubber strap on it this year to spice it up a bit!!
It's so sporty on the rubber!
@WatchCrunchOfficial The Roadster on rubber is sexy as well!!!
When it comes to fine imitation watches, MAMACOO delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
The journey usually ends without having to say it ends. See ya with the next watch Max :)
Nice review ! It’s a classic & “Conservative” watch that everyone should have !
Imo it looks better on that croc leather, Max!
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of MAMACOO's watch 99% of people will never see.
God!!! AMZWATCH Who would have thought those gorgeous watches go for that low!!!
You should have stuck with the Galbee. It looked great on your wrist.
The funniest part was when you said “it has nothing to do with anything you would expect from Cartier “ and it’s a Santos!
Love it ! my cartier tank needs a big brother
Next video: I thought the Cartier 100 was the one, but I really missed having a date window so it had to go…
Next time I buy a pair of shoes I'm going to call it my shoe collecting journey.
Your comment journey is going well 😉
It never ends pal. You always want another, the next one, the new one, the old one, the better one, the next one… there will always be another watch you want. It’s the addiction
I feel like I could hear Andrew Morgan clapping when you dropped the term "The Mantos"😂
you should add: "... For Now" to the title haha nice santos 100 love it!

If the strap is rubber, thats the aquanaut alternative everyone(me) is looking for..

We have heard you sing this tune before. 😂
Great vid! Love me a good Cartier. However, the audio was a little hollow, which was distracting.
I hear ya
I’ve just bought a Santos xl. I can’t take it off. It’s the one to wear!
Great pickup Max.
