Well, this is a very informative listing video, thank you! Loving some of these brands you're showing here, and haven't heard of most of them, so I'm always happy to expand my awareness of micros. You've earned my sub, much appreciated!
A great show and enjoy every minute of it, and I agree with every word you spoke. Thank you
Great video! Learned several new brands
Kentex is another Japanese watch brands that supply watches to the Japanese Self Defence Forces - Ground (Army), Maritime (Navy) and Air (Air Force). . The brand’s best known model is the Marineman, which is an automatic diver’s watch.water resistant to 200 metres.
I have an Orient and a Seiko, both automatic watches and both of fine quality. Japanese watches are up there with the best. :-)
Great video and well presented. thank you
cool video! you should show the USP of the brands tho, like hajime asaoka's no.0 prototype tourbillon, the way naoya hida &co engraves and finishes their dials, even their moonphase disk, also their in house movements, and the well finished spring drive movement of GS. many many things missing
Great Discovery ❤ 😁 I subscribe and will follow this interesting channel. Nice selection of Japanese brands, beyond the Big 4 of the Japanese watchmaking industry. 14:27 Loved Kikuchi Nakagawa pieces instantly!!
Great video, to the point
Grand Seiko GMT chronograph spring drive, Seiko sharp edge GMT, Casio lineage multi band 6 and a citizen eco drive chronograph are my Japanese watches. From £200-£7500. I like all good watches from different makers in different countries.👍🏴
I have an orient watch, very accurate. Great watch
My collection is only seiko and Casio. I have 3 in total and I absolutely love them. Hope to own a tissot prx next.
Casio is god tier.
@@train_xc your opinion is wrong. As wrong as your parents' act to create you.

Good review. I started out with Japanese watches. I then moved on to Swiss pieces. However, the past couple of years I've been into independents. A couple of these Japanese companies have aroused my curiosity.
I think I fell in love with the Mirco Chronograph
I have a Seiko and a Citizen watch. I'd like a Grand Seiko too. They're beautiful watches.
I’m eagerly waiting for my Kuoe watch.
Great video, i love Japanese watches, have Swiss as well, but GS is on another level in my opinion.
I think unfortunately, there's a weird stigma behind Japanise watches, as there is with German watches. However GS could definitely compete with AP, VC or Patek
I totally agree, but i must say my Seiko Sarb033 gets so many compliments even from watch people 👍
@@davidperkins605 I'll be honest, I never get any complements on any of my watches accept my 6138 Seiko that seems to draw people's attention
Very nice, i am at some stage going to buy myself a pouge, but its a mine field, however I will find one...take care my friend
super informative, though missing Ricoh and Sanyo as former watch making brands, which I presume today are highly collecibles. Obviously the singlest largest brands of them all are Casio and Citizen.
My dad cas a Casio FX calculator from 1970 and only now its buttons started to stop working, and it still rivals modern calculators in functions, only thing that's behind the times and its display which is one line only
I loved my Casio FX calculators.
But sadly I lost them, from time to time. The count touched 6
AWESOME VIDEO

Excellent
ORIENTS are great watches. Bought a $200 bambino V2. Looks like a $1000 dollar watch. Such an elegant piece.
The only watch that could survive the rigors of framing houses in Texas was the g shock in the late 70s. Later I bought a Seiko with an auto dime movement. It lasted 10 years.
2000 and I bought an eco drive. Sent that for service to replace crystal and battery 3 months ago. Wearing a Seiko 5 as a day watch. Have also a Q&Q solar purchased for $32.fob Tokyo.?
All the others are antiques.
Seiko
number one ... Do love some of the citizens
I genuinely had no idea that CITIZEN was Japanese, I just assumed it was Swiss.
@@bryanguest2807 Actually, Bulova was an American company and Citizen bought them in 2008.
My first watch was a Casio. I was 7 or 8 years old. I’m livid that I lost that watch.
I see an affordable watch video that doesnt try to sell me on a Tissot PRX, I press like
What is the seiko model in the thumbnail?
Mam saw this video now and liked it very much kindly do a video on ultra thin watches(best ones)so far no youtuber has done a detailed video so kindly consider this small request thanks God bless you love from India
Look at the Citizen thin watches. They have a range from low to fairly high. I have a model called the Stiletto. Affordable at about 300 dollars. Their upper end thin watches can reach 3000 dollars.
My second watch in my life was Orient three stars before fifty years ago
I just buy Seiko and Citizen. ❤
I love Seiko Astron
You didn't mention Casio's premier line the Oceanus. Made in Japan and the bodies are made where the Grand Seiko's are made.
What's that Seiko on the thumbnail?
Great review. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
A good all stainless Steele Japanese battery watch, will last you a lifetime,no matter what brand!
Casio is love 💕
Those Mircos are beautiful, but damn, quite expensive at 2k USD.
Er... "have started"? They've been making amazing watches since the 60s.
Still, good job!
I had several Casio watches...they are quality watches
Current casio(edifice) watch is efs-s620 dw
It has sapphire glass and solar charging
Seiko

Japan❤❤❤❤
Lovely video but why did you leave RICOH out....
Insightful video. Thoughts on Credor vs Grand Seiko?
Different markets. Grand Seiko is for folks who are willing to spend $10K. Credo is for folks willing to spend $100K.
Vacheron constantin patex Philippe audermart pigue 3watch best wold good video
I feel Citizen should be above Casio. ❤
Beautiful voice
The KNIS watch made in Kyoto ?
Superb video. But, let me share this here knowing it can uplift someone that comes across it. Effective financial management made me rich and it is all you need if you want to build a strong financial future tomorrow. I started with 1000USD, 3 years ago I invested in a diversified stock market and fast forward to now I am worth 500000USD and am currently finishing my 8 unit apartments. I'm only 35 years old. Diversified stock investments have always proven to be very profitable, especially with the help of experts.
I'm really impressed. At 35, i was worth a little over $200,000 from * in the stock market. But what you've done with your *finances* and numbers you worth, is pure genius.
*Investing* in diversified stocks is a real hustle that has made me . I have two active stock portfolios and hope to create a third, which will increase my total return on earnings to over 120000USD
You have done well. It's people like you who set the benchmark for people like us to know that achieving financial stability and transition of status from being comfortable to wealthy is possible with the right *investment* plan.
I'm curious, is *investing* in a diversified stock *market* a pretty lucrative venture? Can you share how you achieved these figures?
@@zychenkonicholas9923 Experience plays a key role when *investing* in diversified *stock markets*, which is why I have Rachel Hilda, whose experience has greatly helped me persevere in the diversified *stock market*. For three years she helped me grow my portfolio using her diversified knowledge of the financial *market*.
I own a Seiko :)
Casio and seiko r the best😊ever
Great watched from the Japanese
interesting
You showed the brand "Throne" after Knot but gave no details. 3 watches that looked to be very thin.
From Rachel, thank you very much
Orient❤
Telva Japanese brand or Chinese brand?
My citizen blue angels chronograph syncs to the atomic clock in Colorado daily, adjusts itself for daylight savings, tells the day and date (Perpetual calendar), never requires a battery change and is solar eco-drive (6 months sleep mode if left in dark), has a saphire crystal, easy push button chronograph with 2 clicks, gets me compliments and cost me $250 USD used from a person that bought a nicer Citizen model. Just don't ask me reset it I will hire a rocket scientist for that.
10:33 Showing a Citizen The Citizen while describing how Citizen believes that everyone deserves an affordable watch?!?!
Hello? Are we just going to skip over THAT part?
Vacheron Constantin CORRECT FRENCH pronounciation is NOT Constanteen, but ConstanTEN.
Casio is god tier
And there is another brands not mentioned like Rieko and Nixon
I have an eco drive and two seiko alpinists...ridiculous value and quality ❤
Why Grand Seiko become after Seiko?!
Hello, you forgot "Orient Star" !
Pulsar?
Swiss watch best wold
I don't think that is anyone in the world that doesn't know casio, seiko, citizen and orient.
As for the rest, no reason to know them, since it isn't affordable to common people...
seriously, no Alba?
Alba, loris, pulsar are seiko too. They were four seiko companies here on the list so I guess they were already fatigued.
@@ahha6304 orient is also part of Seiko. The four brands listed here. Seiko, Grand seiko, credor,. Orient( is more like a sister company.)
Reconsider the channel name. Since Kikuchi Nakagawa is not a "Wathch we can afford" with tag price of 23.000 USD. Hajime Asaoka, also... Just that.
This series of articles & videos about watch brands is not only about affordable watchmakers. We tried to include both affordable and more high-end options to get an idea about which are the most important watchmakers from each country. We have lots of different videos on our channel with affordable watch recommendations.
They were better than the Swiss already in the 1960.
Then the Quartz revolution.
Grand Seiko is superior to Swiss in every way.
As nice as they Kikuchi Nakagawa watches are, 22,000 USD for a watch with a wait of 8-10 years for delivery I can put up with, but their esoteric philosophy… nah.
Citizen Eco drive Never change the battery is completely wrong. My Eco drive was not running due to weak rechargeable battery (Capacitor) I had to change the Battery. Once again wrongly advertised.
G-Shock
Lol, channel is called watches you can afford. Those Kikuchi Nakazawa watches are $22,000 USD.
Watches you can't afford * 😉
😭😭😍
Japanese watches are better than switch
It is pretty POINTLESS when the stuff you present and link to is "currently unavailable" or "out of stock".
Such reviews are USELESS, to be frank.
The First 5 are Interesting
JAPAN is Quality!!! SUPERB !! Quality, the Majority are Hype!
G SEIKO & CITIZEN ECO DRIVE DIVING WATCHES, FOR ME, THX
I have never been disappointed with a Japanese watch. I have a couple Citizen watches that are very nice and the Eco-drive keeps you from worrying about batteries.....I also have a dozen or so Orient mechanical watches, including some NOS from the 1980's and 1990's. They are quite accurate for their price points. Would recommend.
I had one of Citizen's first eco-drive watches. Capacitor went after 10 years I couldn't get the part replaced for love or money. Not even from Citizen themselves. They had stopped producing that particular capacitor! Needless to say I would never consider another Citizen eco-drive.
@@rollyunicorn ...yep...i had the original(mid 1990's) Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium Solar Chrono world timer.......it was an awesome watch and I was working for the airlines doing maintenance planning at the time, traveling all over the world.....and it was a godsend to be able to keep track of what time it was wherever i needed to know in the pre www days. It worked great util the capacitor went....and it required COMPLETE disassembly of the watch FROM THE BEZEL side because the case was solid - no opening on the back.....so....p00p.....
I would LOVE to have an 'updated' to 2020's era version.
I had the Titanium Chronograph version from 1998. The back was removable, not that it helped mind you.
Appreciate you mentioning about your own experience. I had always wondered if the capacitor was the weak link in the chain of these watches.
I remember the advertising at the time, you know, the Never needs a battery bit.
Shame they didn't also put - But your capacitor will likely pack up!
