Wow...speakers sound great....I'm glad I watched the whole shakey video and didn't even get to hear those
The intro was next level
It wouldve been nice to see the rear door replacement & make the shifter boot a different video.
would you recommend these speakers as an upgrade from my stock bose ones?
With an amp better
If you use stock bose amp. You need an adapter or hard wire it.
@@packwoodperformance4x474 ok thank u!
Did you replace the rear speakers. If so what size was they.
Yes. All 4 are the same size.
@@packwoodperformance4x474 ok thanks. I have read up on it and I'm getting all kinds of different answers. lol thanks for the reply
Hey what’s the dial knob you have on the left side of the steering wheel in between the fog light switch and the actual steering column… I just bought a 09 duramax and my rig has the same knob dial. I’m guessing it’s for the exhaust brake?
Dsp5 tuner switch
Does it matter which wire goes on each side of the speaker?
It will work both ways. Usually the positive to positive negative to negative the speakers hit in. If its switched they will hit out.
Do you recommend these speakers? I’m stuck on these and alpines
They were good. I like Alpine as well. Not sure if the Kenwood is better than alpine. When it comes to speakers you get what you pay for so Higher $ is probably better.
I just install mine on my 08 Chevy Silverado (Sony speakers ) and doesn't sound good , may be the speakers are bad or i cone t one of the speakers with wrong polarity.
I need an advice thanks .
Well usually you won't notice much if you switch positive and negative.
Usually it can be a bad ground wire. I will say Sony is not the best and the factory stereo is not that great.
Thank you I'll will double check the wiring
Do I need to add amp if I want to do this
No. But it helps
Are the back door speakers the same size as the front?
Yes. I think the rear works without adapters.
where did you buy the bracket from?
It was a car audio store near my Home Town. CarFi
What color of the wires on the truck is the positive terminal?
I'm sorry. I didn't quite understand the question. Does this help?
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Dark Green
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Light Blue
@@packwoodperformance4x474 thank you , this help me a lot
You're welcome!
What size speaker fit on the door is it 5 1/4 or 5 1/2?
Info in the description.
I believe they are 6 1/2 and they needed a special bracket. Because the hole is actually 6.75.
Did u need to add a amp?
No. It would be better with an amp or at least an aftermarket stereo. The factory stereo doesn't push much power. It sounds good but when you go up pretty loud it starts to distort.
@@packwoodperformance4x474 I have a bose system will the aftermarket speakers will sound good with the bose amp and factory radio????
I think you need an adapter for the Bose System. I'm not sure. Definitely search on UA-cam. I seen a few videos
@@gottistyle1250 it should sound better but for better sound get an aftermarket radio
I wanted to. Yes that makes a bigger difference. I just hadn't yet.
What size are your new speakers?
6.5 in speakers. The info for speakers and adapters that you would need is in the description.
Packwood Performance 4x4 thanks!
I thought 6.75 speakers is what fit?
It is but good luck finding that size. That's why they make different mounts/adapters for aftermarket speakers.
@@packwoodperformance4x474 I just order the 6.75 so they do fit?
