Can't drink out of the faucet because the water literally tastes like mild bleach. (I thought this was in my head at first so had my wife fill up several cups and was able to pick out the faucet water every time. Even my wife and children can identify it.)
So we buy cases of bottled water, i can't afford to upgraded to cases of glass bottled water. So the question is which poison is worse, plastic or chlorine, herbicide, algicide, fluoride, lead ect.

I feel like the microplastic plastic problem is much bigger than to stop using plastic straws and pfas lined coffee cups. Like... do. I watched another video a few weeks ago that micro plastics are in the rivers and lakes and uptake into our water supply. We water plants which uptake the microplastics and we eat those plants. Last year my city introduced curbside organics collection. This year, to fill some new raised beds, I bought some "premium garden soil" which has city compost in it. I didn't know until it was delivered. Every shovel-full had a piece of ground up plastic in it ugh 😩 It seems like no matter how much we try to escape plastic, there it is, tainting everything we eat and drink.
I started composting in my backyard before the curb side compost but just haven't yet composted enough to start using it yet. This year my compost got big and hot and has been breaking down pretty fast 😊
Slow release fertilizers can also come coated in plastics so that's something to watch out for too

I'll do what I can within reason to avoid these things, but just not gonna live my life obsessing over every little thing....especially when much of it is not dangerous due to the low concentrations. Our bodies are just not **that** fragile. Remember: the dosage makes the poison.

Reality check is our bodes ARE that fragile to these things that our bodies simply were never designed evolutionary to handle. Modernity has to be severely cut down to size otherwise it is over for mankind - masculine sexuality down, feminine corresponding good behavior down, fabric of society impossible to uphold.

Its quite difficult in the UK tap water is loaded with chlorine and fluoride (and occasionally the odd parasite) disgusting and it tastes like drinking diluted bleach and as someone with thyroid issues advised not to drink tap water. I consume around 2 litres of plastic bottled evian per day, a bit of english tea and sometimes red wine. I don't waste money on takeaway hot beverages and evian (or any brand of mineral water) in glass bottles is cost prohibitive for most. Any suggestions for an affordable solution?

    • @drott150

I thought the UK did not have fluoride in its water like the US often does? I live in an area where the water is fluoridated. I use a reverse osmosis filter system under my sink with a separate small water dispensing spigot for my drinking water. The RO filter removes about 99-95% of the fluoride and most all other contaminates. Here in the states you can get them for about $200 {~160 pound sterling}. If the incoming water is pretty clean {city water} the filters last for 2-4 years. About 100 quid to replace them.

In Sweden we have salty fermented baltic herring. (Surströmming) In the old days until a few years ago it was salted in wooden barrels. I have never heard of problems with the wooden barrels, but EU has forced the fish industry to use plastic barrels due to hygiene reasons. The wooden barrels where so salty so nothing could ever happend even emty when fishing season was ended. They (EU) kind of made a problem that never was a problem. They have tryed to stop the fermented herring a few years back, because the baltic is poluted. But it did not work! We dont eat surströmming on daily basis, and most people just eat it a few times a year. EU never tryed to stop people from eating baltic cod, kind of funny because some people eat cod weakly. There is videos at YT aboute our smelly fish...Search Fermented herring or surströmming. If you have a Ö on your keyboard.

Yes microplastics are a big problem. But its just not in packaging. Its in our foods and everything else. Now my issue with this study is that its saying mp (microplastics) causes ED. Yet the age group of only 6 people in the study was 46-81. You mean to tell me that this age grouppp is not likely to suffer from ED as it is? 81? Really, is it that shocking? Also there are different levels of ED. This analysis should be compared to people who do not have ED. Are the people without ED mp free? How much mp were there compared to other deposits? Often studies come out that goes against the health agenda. Like fasting causes heart diease. Yet this study is the opposite, too, because it fits the agenda of this channel. Now again microplastics are a huge problem, but this study alone doesnt seem like the end all conclusive study that mp causes ED. I would argue peoples addiction to porn and other social media racy things as more of a worry for ED in the long run.
