Hope you guys are having a great Monday! Come hang out with us May 12th and pick up some of the games from the collection! Hit up this link to get $10 FREE bucks to spend: whatnot.com/invite/retrorick
So what happens when you find something and don’t have the money in the funds to purchase it but it’s a really good deal ? I mean I know what I would do. What would retro rick do ?
@@Moparking117 Iv emailed messaged Rick on FB and IG over the weeks. Also comment all the time. He never gets back to you. I’m unsubscribing tonight. :(
man your goodwills are gold! all the goodwills in my area have essentially taken away the dvd racks and IF they have games, they've been bundling them up, putting them behind a glass case and overpricing (think 5 really common bad sports games for 50 bucks)
Fun Fact on Zelda 2: the 1st North American release was the Canadian one. Came out in August 88 vs December 88 down the border. The CND one has dual Eng/French on the box & manual & was distributed by Mattel.
My favorite NES game is Mario/Duck Hunt. The reason why is when my grandma would watch me, my brother, and my cousins she would actually play Mario with us. She wasn’t too bad either lol. She would kinda lift the controller up every time she jumped like she was giving Mario a lift assist lmao. Great times!
Retro Rick always in the grind. This man is always finding the 🔥🔥 items. The man has an eye. I appreciate all the content and the 🔥🔥🔥. All those Manuals is a great come up. Looking forward to the next video.
Another great video! You have inspired me to start my own low budget collection to help build my existing one. Been 3 weeks and already up $40 from $60 starting point with a ton more to sell.
It’s crazy how much value Wii sports & Wii sports resort still hold. Found a Wii console with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, and 2 golf games (one was actually worth about $25 - Tiger Woods Masters 2012) for just $25! Already made my money back by trading in Wii Sports and selling the golf game 😁
i dont think u need to look at the back to tell if a game is 5 screw, at least all mine, if they have the little clips on top that are visible from the front its not 5 screw
I grew up in the '80s and what you are calling a boombox is far from a boombox. I used to have a huge deep bass unit that was probably five times bigger than the one you were looking at. It had all kinds of equalizer functions on it and the coolest part was it had a movement alarm. You could turn the thing on and if it got moved more than a couple centimeters an alarm went off. You got to stop people from taking your music.
SNES is not a 1chip. I've never seen any yellowing on a 1chip and for serial numbers you generally want to look for it to start with UN31 or UN32 but you can never know 100% without cracking the system open to look at the board.
The 1-chip do get yellowing, on the controller ports, I recently found one, all original color, except yellowing on the controller ports, un3 serial number! I have found 1-chip on consoles with un28 and un29 (some un3's, have no 1-chip) kinda weird, but fun to track down!
That Ninja Turtle bubble bath!! I recently found a box of my old christmas pictures and have 1 of me opening the Donatello one! Also have a picture of the tmnt muta raft and a street sharks ripster. Im gonna try and get them all back!
Use a 4.5MM game tool to take the top off your SNES console. Next to the cartridge input, you’ll see the board revision labeled “SNS1CHIP” circled in yellow.
the super mario bros movie may not have been good, but when i first saw it as a kid i thought it was awesome! i was probably around 8 when i first saw it so 22 years ago. and now when i see it it just brings back those memories of sitting on the couch with my parents and watching it and laughing
Worth this... Worth that... Game prices are all based off of online sales that made up of scalpers gouged prices and there’s people who are foolish enough to pay those prices. How can anyone justify paying over $100 for an old Nintendo game. It’s like collecting isn’t about the games and the memories we had with these games when we were kids. It’s all about the money anymore.
Hey Rick, or anyone that might know, quick question…does the creator determine when the UA-cam adds cut into the video or is that up to UA-cam? I only ask cuz it seems like a lot of them are timed up with the video pretty well.
I actually love the Mario Bros movie. I know it is a bad movie, but I love the movie for it's creativity for its time. I own it on DVD and it has a special place in my heart.
Probably could take the time to learn to repair that cassette player. Most of the time it just needs a new belt. Rubber erodes over time. But hey, time is money.
you should make a new rule that says any time you have a haul of over 10 games you can choose to keep one for a finders fee. i understand you paying yourself for a game but honestly you should only be paying what it cost you and in cases like this where the rest of the haul is totally paying for itself and going well into profit it should just be a given item or maybe pay a $10 fee into the collection bank.
My cousin had a psp, was a bunch of games but also had a bunch of movies too that were pretty cool. I don't see much of those around though. Are they rare and expensive?
My favorite game of all time is on the NES. "TMNT The Arcade Game II".... I just never beat it. I don't understand why 2 Shredders are at the final level.
I once did it with a my first sony tape player, got bunch of belts, however, it one wheel runs faster than the other wheel, i even stretched it and it still doesn’t turn around. I got 5 of them tape players, they were sold as a bundle.

Say something as they get it free to help people out should not be new price

That NES MLB manual. So much nostalgia. Pretty sure that’s why my favorite color has always been orange now that I think of it. 😱
You’re lucky to get games at your goodwill for only $2. All of the ones by me are changing $7 per game!
0:15 love the *"and here we go - Joker"* in the start of the video.. 🤡🤡😈
Favorite NES game is Contra still have the memories of playing it when it came out in the 80s. Such a fun perfect game. #2 favorite is Mario 3.
Retro Rick always in the grind. This man is always finding the 🔥🔥 items. The man has an eye. I appreciate all the content and the 🔥🔥🔥. All those Manuals is a great come up. Looking forward to the next video.

14:36 Retro Rick powering up for his son is equal parts hilarious and cute
What kind of glue is best to use for label lifting? Im afraid it will kinda show a wet mark through.
Used to kick ass on the RC program on that TV and your other video at a friend's house back in the day. LOL

In Europe wii sport and resort are 5 euro, lets say 7 usd.
Amazing finds Rick! My favorite NES game is Dragon Spirit The New Legend.
I actually enjoyed the Super Mario Bros movie.
Ernest was easily the best thing in the entire video! 😀👍
Check the back of the Punchout case. 5 screws and it's worth hundreds, not $50.
i dont think u need to look at the back to tell if a game is 5 screw, at least all mine, if they have the little clips on top that are visible from the front its not 5 screw
@@rookrabbit3006 That's a great point!
You can tell it's not from the front. 5 screws don't have the notches on top to the best of my knowledge.

We love Editor Riff as well, great Video as always Rick. I always look forward to these videos on Monday and Thursday every week. 👍
Pretty Awesome Pick up Rick! :) I'm still looking for the Mario Bros Movie on VHS but have not come across it anywhere.
SNES is not a 1chip. I've never seen any yellowing on a 1chip and for serial numbers you generally want to look for it to start with UN31 or UN32 but you can never know 100% without cracking the system open to look at the board.
Agree with this comment, I've ran into three ship ones and most of them have been in excellent condition but I always take him apart to make sure.
Agreed on everything except the yellowing. The fire retardant additive to the plastic that causes that was used on all models.
Probably not one, if he wants to open it up to know for sure, maybe it's one, but it's doubtful
Same here I own 2 one chips both look like they came out of the factory

Ernest Scared Stupid is my favorite Ernest's movie.
my favourite nes games are mario 1 and milon’s secret castle.. that’s a real underrated gem
That Ninja Turtle bubble bath!! I recently found a box of my old christmas pictures and have 1 of me opening the Donatello one! Also have a picture of the tmnt muta raft and a street sharks ripster. Im gonna try and get them all back!
My favorite NES game is Super Mario Bros 3...Great game pure nostalgia!Game On 🕹️📺🎮
Your editor does such an awesome job at editing these
So great to see all of those manuals, thanks for sharing. 👍

Does anyone know what the “whoa” sound effect is from when he pick up the Elvia dvd around 10:44 ?
Thanks
I have the Grey Zelda game,is it worth less than the gold one?
Snow bros. Got it back in 1991 and it was my favorite game. Wish I still had it
Recently I’ve been finding PSP games at goodwill so weird
any psp or vita games are hard to find at trift stores i;ve only seen psp but if i saw a vita game i don't care what is i'm buying
@@doctordubstepgaming 100%
That’s a sick bart Simpson plush on the stand at 9:17 .. I found Lisa and maggie thrifting for basically a dollar each
Our Goodwills in Tulsa area are at least double the prices you paid and NEVER have any video game items.
Lol. I'm binge watching all these right now to catch up. LOL
Those neon lights cause sunfading, please move the video game boxes that are beside them
Or replace by led lights?
You have the most awesome videos on UA-cam retro Rick sincerely Wayne
Big mistake passing on the boombox. Would be an easy fix and good attention grabber for a booth if you had some vintage jams playing through it.
Best content on the UA-cam. Love the video's.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is one of those films that are so bad that I love it.
Very surprised to see the mario bros vhs not be taken home. I would've definitely gotten that..😳
the super mario bros movie may not have been good, but when i first saw it as a kid i thought it was awesome! i was probably around 8 when i first saw it so 22 years ago. and now when i see it it just brings back those memories of sitting on the couch with my parents and watching it and laughing
Bucky O’Hare is the best NES game!!!
the 1 Chip usually starts with UN31 on the serial number
Should just change your name to
Re Sale Rick lol "For myself " 😂
I think you should institute a rule that says you must add at least one N64 game to the collection each week.
those parts are yellow because we're manufactured in different countries from different distributors that used lesser quality materials
Fave NES game is definitely Ninja Gaiden! Finally beat it this year!
Ducktales on NES hands down, still play it all the time!
Worth this... Worth that... Game prices are all based off of online sales that made up of scalpers gouged prices and there’s people who are foolish enough to pay those prices. Was that a turntable under the Sony radio?
Stopped by a Goodwill in the OC today and finally found some games, but they wanted $14……what!!!!! I ran out of there!!!
My SNES has the exact same section that is the only yellow section on the entire console.
Mega man 3 is my favorite nes game! First in box game I bought new at Walmart back in the day
Hey Rick, or anyone that might know, quick question…does the creator determine when the UA-cam adds cut into the video or is that up to UA-cam? I only ask cuz it seems like a lot of them are timed up with the video pretty well.
Riff is a nut with the dragon ball 4 my son tho! 😂
I actually love the Mario Bros movie. I know it is a bad movie, but I love the movie for it's creativity for its time. I own it on DVD and it has a special place in my heart.
I wonder who would win in a month long resale competition between Phoenix Resale and Retro Rick
Probably could take the time to learn to repair that cassette player. Most of the time it just needs a new belt. Rubber erodes over time. But hey, time is money.
New here this is awesome keep it going
My favorite NES games are Super Mario 3, Zelda, and TMNT 2
DSi XLs have Dual IPS Screens. Definitely the best way to play DS games.
TMNT and Chip n Dale are my favorite games for the NES
OMG FINALLY MY PART 2 IS HERE!!!!1!1!1!!!!1!1!!!!!!!!1!1!1!!
Mike Tyson’s punchout is my #1 nes game. So many hours spent on it. Never beat mike though
came across some nes games for 6$ each at a local thrift store picked up rockin kats, dragon warrior 4, joe & Mac & jackal for 24$
you should make a new rule that says any time you have a haul of over 10 games you can choose to keep one for a finders fee. i understand you paying yourself for a game but honestly you should only be paying what it cost you and in cases like this where the rest of the haul is totally paying for itself and going well into profit it should just be a given item or maybe pay a $10 fee into the collection bank.
Yea that’s a good idea!!
6:25 US game pricing is totally out of control honestly, like ridiculous pricing for the most common of games
Demand is high
Dude you totally missed the record player that was under the Sony boom box! Last week I sold just the clear topper to a record player for $120
My cousin had a psp, was a bunch of games but also had a bunch of movies too that were pretty cool. I don't see much of those around though. Are they rare and expensive?
My favorite game of all time is on the NES. "TMNT The Arcade Game II"....
I just never beat it. I don't understand why 2 Shredders are at the final level.
I’d say mine is Mike Tyson’s Punch Out…easily my all time favs
_DOUBLE DRAGON_ 🐉
The tape would have worked probably if you added in a new belt
I once did it with a my first sony tape player, got bunch of belts, however, it one wheel runs faster than the other wheel, i even stretched it and it still doesn’t turn around. I got 5 of them tape players, they were sold as a bundle.
Where in time is Carmen Sandiego was my Favorite.
Sadly Super Mario Bros Movie is one of the few movies I remember going to watch in theaters when it came out in theaters when I was a kid
I found the Super Mario Bros movie on laser disc sealed at my Savers!
My all time favorite is super dodgeball super fun throw back classic
Bomb sound in intro sounds like air wolf from nes

I couldnt just pick 1 so ill give my too 5
5-MT punch out 4- Adventures of Lolo 3-Double Dragon ll 2- Mega man 2 1- SMB 3
You should include the manual with the games when they are purchased. Not sell manuals separate 🤨
my favorite nes game is River City Ransom
How come he didn't finish the video with catch you guys...on the flip?? Lol
Mike Tyson’s Punch Out! I still consider it the greatest game of all time!!
