Hey Rick, I was wondering about any good original Xbox games to recommend besides jet set radio future and the halo games since I already bought them. Just trying to expand the collection, ya know?
Turning 50 in a few mos and I can tell you, I'll never quit collecting! Been a collector since 1976. Sure I sell stuff here and there as well as a business I started years ago, but I'm always adding to the collection!
@brianmolina6107 yes, started with old bottles we found in the woods, 1979 I added coins and stamps. By 1985, I was collecting comics, video games, stickers and cards!
Big shout out from the UK, you have a lot of people here following your channel man, amazing videos. I'm 41 and collecting is just a way of life for us! gives us joy that others cannot understand! i have a retro room at home and after a hard days work i can't wait to chill in there! Much appreciation for all your hard work, thanks for continued great content - Legend mate :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂!! Dude, I'll be 46 in October and I will more than likely NEVER stop gaming. It also helps that my 6 yr old son loves retro games too..its one of his very few interests we can bond with and we even use it for occupational therapy (my son is autistic and has some motor challenges). I love getting to do stuff with him that I enjoyed as a kid..love watching his eyes light up whenever we walk into our local game shop..lol, we joke that he was born in the wrong side of Y2K and would have been completely at home in 1996. He is one of the many reasons why I'll probably never grow out of games.
It never stops mate always on the hunt and love seeing the old skool stuff, when you see it still feels like I’m a kid again never can stop that nostalgia feeling 😊🙏🏻
Rick! I’m new to the channel. This is my first video I’m seeing of the channel. I turned 35 this past March 28th, 2022 and love what you’re doing here. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving retro games. Why would you stop something that brings you joy? At 35, we both have a lot responsibilities now and may not have the time like what we had in elementary school. But just like anyone or anything you love, you MAKE the time because it brings you joy. So I encourage you to just enjoy that beautiful collection! We only have one life! Enjoy it with the things and the people that bring you joy. Happy Birthday!
I'm pushing 50 and I've never stopped playing video games or collecting toys. My current binge is vintage G.I. Joe. I've been collecting ever since I was 19 years old and could afford it.
Night Court was a great show back in the day. Funny for sure. Happy Birthday!!! Thank you for what you do because you have inspired me to start recording my own treasure hunting adventures!
Loving your channel Rick! This brings me back to my childhood too! You're a favorite UA-camr of mine! Happy 35th birthday! Have a good day! My brothers and I I collect comics and wrestling figures , mostly me; restarting that collection because it's been a while) and some video games for our Xbox one and Nintendo switch and Sega Genesis! Like you, I'm not going to stop collecting fun stuff! Goodwill and thrift stores and flea markets are great because you'll never know what you'll find!
I found a copy of 2014 for the first time at a garage sale last summer. When I opened the case in my car, it had 2 copies of the game. I turn 49 at the end of the year and my collecting habit has ramped up. I hope to have a display room like yours when I grow up. 😉
you should always look for the baby blue/teal colored nes cartridges at the game stores. ive noticed that they always keep them at around $3.99-5.99 range, and they always sell for much more.
Rick I don't think I'll ever stop now that you got me started. After watching season 1 you had me PUMPED!! Booted up my sellers account on eBay and flipped my first item 3/10/22 and in past 4 weeks I've got $566 in my Seller account, a PS1, PS2, GameCube, Gameboy and like 16 games all... FREE!! And it's all thanks to you man! You're the man, God Bless You and thank you for giving me my Hunters Badge!! 👍🏽🙏🏽🙇🏾♂️💪🏽
Hey Rick I’m 51 I’ve been collecting about 5 years so I got a late start but I’m so passionate about collecting games and toys I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.I’m actually looking for a bigger room because I have filled up the one I have now.Great video!!!!!!!😀🕹
Whenever I go to any thrift store (particularly Goodwill), I am always on the lookout for stuffed animals (including teddy bears), movies from the 1940s and 1950s, books, copies of National Geographic Magazine, and vintage/retro movie posters.
I actually considered to stop collecting about a year ago…but then I discovered your channel and it breathed a new life into wanting to get back out there and keep going. Thank you for your channel and the time you dedicate to our unique Retro lifestyle! 👍🏻
I'm 36 going to be 37 in June and i can tell you that collecting games, movies and memorabilia has actually gone up for me, its increased ten folds. Buy what you like and always have the saying if you can afford it and your umming and aring about whether to buy, just pick it up as you will regret it! Happy collecting!
Just a heads up about video games at Goodwill, my wife is a manager of a Goodwill store and a new company policy is that they now have to take all video games and send them back to the corporate office so they can evaluate them and they now put them on their own website. Video games are slowly being phased out of the local stores unfortunately.
collected things all my life on the toys and games now had a stroke and heart attack at 61 yrs old .62 now and it's on with the toys and games. Love your videos.
I turned 32 in February, I’m starting to get a little burnt out on the video game industry at the current moment, but I’ll probably be back at it soon. Just taking a little break to recharge my batteries and catch up on movies and TV I’ve missed. I remember being in my early 20s and people asking when I would quit with the whole video game thing and now no one asks, funny how things are much more accepted over time.
Just went out yardsaling this weekend and found a 32x! Really want to keep it, but I need the money towards a car so I can drive myself to more yardsales. Keep the series going, it’s awesome!
Happy Birthday=) Keep collecting! I've read the comments and now I feel less stressed. People, who surround me don't understand my passion for games and collecting stuff. But I am not alone=)
I'm 36 and I love collecting it's a drug but much more positive besides having to spend money on rare itens but I WILL NEVER QUIT! 80s and 90s pop culture gives you a very special feeling especially finding rare items from those eras. Happy 35th Rick!!
Great find. Last week I told myself I was going to stop going to a certain goodwill because they NEVER had video games. Well, I was in the area and had an extra 15 min before I picked my son up from school and I thought to myself.....Retro Rick would stop, so I stopped by. To my huge surprise was ncaa 14, ncaa 13, and captain america for ps3 $$$$$$. The clerk even gave me a student discount. Sold ncaa 14 only 7 hours after I picked it up. Let's go boyssssss.
Happy Birthday Rick! As a fellow retro collector, I agree that I may never stop collecting. My goal is to one day get my kids interested in collecting video games in hopes they will one day inherit my collection and continue adding to it with their own collection as they grow up, and so on.
I'm 38 and I'll never stop collecting or enjoying my old school NES/SNES games. I will say this though, I most certainly go through phases depending on whatever might be going on in life w/finances and family and first priorities. I also have a basketball card collection valued via BGS over $20k from collecting since 1993, which as I've gotten older has been a bit more of my favorable hobby. But retro game collecting (primarily NES/SNES) is one of my true joys and I tend to play more videogames in the winter so that usually always sparks up the urge to add to the collection : )
Sheesh great pickups. That NCAA FOOTBALL is Gold. Great finds. I love that store that has all the box games. That’s amazing. Retro always coming thru with great content. Like always I appreciate the content. Keep bringing the 🔥🔥🔥 brother
My son still plays Call of Duty with his high school and elementary school friends that have moved away, joined the military..etc.. I love and appreciate today's technology that they can stay in contact and play the game they all love
I will always collect something… I enjoy the things I get, it reminds me of my childhood going to flea markets with my grandparents on weekends and depending what you collect it could be an investment and you can sell the stuff later (buy low sell high)

I'll be 46 in July amazing how the time just flies that the reason I love watching 👍Brings back such great memories keep up the fantastic work Rick makes me feel like I'm traveling back in time 😁
I just turned 33 and just shifted from collecting comics to building a gaming collection after I got some cheap systems offered to me. Can't wait to see how far I take it!
Was only picking games for the longest time, amassed hundreds of consoles and thousands of games. Then I realized the clothes market and now I’m hooked lol.
I think you need to talk about your Patreon and the list every video,it's a big help to a reseller who might be new to the channel and you help your channel.I figure if someone watches your channel there's a good chance they might be a reseller or get into reselling after they see what and how it can be done.
i agree as long as it bring me happiness...hey i am 37 goin 38...still collecting action figures Toys...especially Retro toys tat bring nostalgic memories like Tmnt & Batman. I also enjoy collecting Sofubi Toys - Made in Japan Soft Vinyl figs as well...
Later this month, I will be going on vacation in Cincinnati, Ohio, for a few days, and I hope to go to a few thrift stores (including Goodwill and at least one of their Goodwill Outlet stores) there to find some retro stuff! Retro Rick, please wish me luck!
I stopped collecting stuff when i was about 45. Sold everything and just kept my Game and Watch collection. I did however build a wall mounted arcade machine, so all the games i owned are still all there to play but with no issues having to store consoles and carttidges.
I flip dvds , vhs, and blu-ray. The amount of inventory you can get is outrageous. And little no competition My only competition usually are older people who live in the middle of no where, with no cable and just watch movies lol.
Night Court was a hilarious take on the Court system. Featured Harry Anderson, Markie Post (from the Fall Guy TV series), John Larroquette , Richard Moll, and Marsha Warfield
Wow, you're only a year older than me. I'll be 34 this week. My answer to your question is I side with you. Whenever I stop feeling the joy of collecting this stuff or I feel like it just isn't for me anymore, that's when it'll happen. However, I don't see that happening anytime soon because this stuff is my escape. It's my heaven on Earth.
Dont quit, collecting is awsome . I am a big autograph collector and I cant wait till I get the next big autograph !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I am 53 and still play and collect video games and such. For me it is a way to wind down after a long day. Dont let anyone talk you out of something you enjoy.
Great pickups and lucky on NCAA football. I have made some money selling a couple. I'm not finding video games at Goodwills anymore let alone that gem. Awesome video.
Sweet pick up on that Thin Man collection the first couple are really fun comedy mysteries. Watch the with your family if you have the time they are very fun.
I also just turned 35 and I havent collected a single game in about a year. Thinking about getting back into it for garage sale season. I don't know if a year long hiatus counts as "stopping" collecting?? But I probably will collect on and off forever.
Great finds. I'm in my 40s and still love collecting. Haven't woken up and just magically become uninterested in the things I've always loved, and doubt that will ever happen. Would love to find that NCAA game, haven't seen it despite game hunting since last summer. Would also have loved to find that Night Court set, it's one of my favorite sitcoms ever.
Love the series! Congrats on the awesome ncaa pickup. I hope we get see more consistent 10 dollar game collection vids with garage/yard sales picking up!
I just had an amazing day today too! I went into a thrift store at opening and there was a BUNCH of ps1 games. I never find ps1 games so I had to pick up most of them. 13 games, one of them being Ghost in the Shell, definitely keeping that.
I never really left retro games... When I sold my NES & SNES back in the day to invest in PS1. I was constantly using an emulator to play those games. Until I had enough and wanted the real hardware again. I probably won't stop collecting games ever. But I do prefer a smaller collection nowadays. I want to keep the games that mean something to me.
Hope you all are well! If you are interested in DVD/Sports list or other Patreon benefits, Check out this link! www.patreon.com/retrorick

@@retrorick 😲😲 the man himself. Thanks for helping me relive my childhood over and over again. Love what you're doing👍
I think most people pass up beach body because it's a vero item on ebay. I got dinged once for it. Great video!
I live in AZ I don’t see a lot of retro out here. So I won’t get tired from it.
I just turned 40 this July but it’s all good and keep doing what you love
Sweet pick up on that Thin Man collection the first couple are really fun comedy mysteries. Watch the with your family if you have the time they are very fun.
Loved night court!
Dan Feilding character was funny and so was Bull
I’m 55 gal fan and I’ll never stop. Keep going!
13 games, one of them being Ghost in the Shell, definitely keeping that.
heck yes!!!! Nothing like the thrill of the hunt!
Dry erase marker gets off marker. Just write over in circles and wipe. Happy birthday 🎂
thanks for that Nathan!
Night Court is one of my all time favorite series.
I am 50 years old and still collecting. And probably won't stop.
i think ill be the same way! Thanks for tuning in Matt!
45 and the day I stop is the day I die. Its what keeps me young.
