Is there an arcade version? I could look it up but I like engaging with people 🙂 i know aome games got an arcade version that is slightly better graphic and has some differences
A d**n good SNES game, and 1 of my favorites for that system. Completely blows my mind that it's now 30 years old. I was only 14/15 years old when it came out, way back in 1994. Where in the h**l has the time gone to??? So depressing...😔
I don't know...most of the games that were made in those days actually had substance. If I were to make a game it would be a 2D side scroller or "Beat em up". We didn't have the technology back then so if I do wish me luck!
@@RetroGamer_2099 Good luck! Yes, most definitely, the games back in the day did have substance, which is why they are all still so fun, and enjoyable, to play. Probably just the old man in me talking, especially since I'm about to be 45 years old next month, but games nowadays, and games made in the past decade, or maybe even creeping into two decades now, lack that same substance. Visually, they are all awesome, stunning, and still continue to blow me away, visually, but they are just not fun anymore; take away the insane visuals, and you have absolutely nothing, and that's extremely sad. And don't even get me started on the whole issue of buying a new game, and it does not even contain a 100% complete, and finished, game. Instead, you now have to download most of a game, which can take a long while, and that's just not how things should work, especially when you pay a high price to even purchase the game in the first place. What's even worse, and more sad, is the fact that, unlike us, future Generations won't be able to pull out their old games, and systems, that they grew up with, and enjoy an older game because there won't be any servers up and running to be able to download their actual games, even if they do still own the system, and a, so-called, "physical media disc". Everything made after the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, it will all just be for straight up collecting, and nothing more, and that's a real shame. Once these Companies stopped having to actually finish a game, before shipping it out, it's pretty much wiped out future Generations playing these more current games in the Future. There won't be any "retro" for them, as it has been for us. It will just be new, or nothing, and that's it. Sad.
@@RetroGamer_2099 Good luck. Yes, most definitely. The games made in the past, they really did have substance, unlike crap made these days, which is so much more of a joke, really. And don't even get me started on Companies releasing games that aren't even completed, the ridiculous downloads/updates, and the fact that nothing made after the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii era, none of it will be playable in the future, due to there not being any servers up and running. Crazy times.
@@mikevogler5455 Yes indeed! I remember the good ole days of "Army of 2" me and one of my friends were playing on-line nonstop (and worked pretty good together as a team). That game stayed up for yrs because of how good on-line was. SMH....I miss those days.
@@RetroGamer_2099 Most definitely. I, too, love playing online, but just hate, and despise, the reliance of having to even connect to the Internet in the first place, just to finish downloading the game, or, in some cases, having to download/install most of a game, even though I spent big bucks on a physical disc/cartridge. Obviously, anything that can be played online, would require an Internet connection, and would need those servers, but a single player game, it should all be on the cart, or disc, the moment you buy it, and not have to have anything, at all, downloaded/installed from the Internet when a customer buys it. Not sure what happened within the industry, or how game Companies lost their way, but I really wish they would start releasing finished, and totally completed, games again, and stop relying on the Internet to "beam in" the rest of a game once we get home with it. Not even sure why, or how, that even became acceptable, or considered okay, in the first place.
This is Retro_G back with another playthro. The cover art got me to start another sub category I call "Sketch Series" where I will post a walk-thro of what it takes to create these. Like and Subscribe! THX!
The easiest way to beat Magneto is to climb the wall with Wolverine and do the jumping dive claw. It'll hit him and put you next to the other wall. Repeat.
Man me being a gamer that started play video games in the 80s idk how I missed out on this one back in the day especially a capcom made x men game looks fun 👍🏿
Trust me your not the only one. In my case it was a money issue. These games were like $60 plus, and if you found them used they were like $45-$50, still expensive. Wasn't lucky enough to have a buddy that had a snes so I could borrow games they all had Sega.
@@RetroGamer_2099 It's cool to see an old game from my childhood revisited like this, you did really well. If you're doing niche titles sometime, consider BattleClash or CombaTribes.

Magneto rips metal out of Logan. Nightcrawler vaporizes Eric into vacuum of space with no metals. Wolverine is garbage for a MAIN character. Hell even gambit got to actually kiss rouge and also kicked Logan's ass.
Unfortunately it seemed Wolverine was the best choice to defeat Magneto in the game. I could of used Cyclops but I realized the last stage to Magneto is different for every character. I wanted the viewers to see that plus I was curious.
the good old days. I only wished this game was two players
Yeah like Final Fight style dude.
The Sega game was better

I appreciate all these cool games we have as a kid

The best X-men game from the 16 bits era ever! i wish the guys from capcom had put the same effort on "War of the gems" as they did with this one.
You are right!
it's still solid. As for being the best, i think all of the 16 bit X-Men games were pretty good.

It was all about Sega X-Men
I liked the Clone Wars. Will make a video for that too. Stay tuned.
Very good definition of a era of gaming back when the future was extremely bright a better time period certainly not weak like this one excellent
Agreed and THX!
I don’t know how Psylocke isn’t more popular. She’s the best female X-Men in my opinion.
She's also a ninja! I think that's why she shines more in the games.
Wolverine was looking pitiful at the end by himself being a simp for Jean...😢
Funny you say that! He always seems to call out "Jean" before he gets knocked out.
😂🤣
Basically Megaman X, only with the Xmen
And it was awesome 🔥
Same developer.
Yea except it plays nothing like MegaMan and is way more confusing.
yep, perfect comparison.
At least Megaman can run
Il gioco è molto bello ma anche difficile bravo
It was difficult at first but I think I could of beat the game with Cyclops or Gambit. Don't know if the ending would be different...I'll find out.
I was so jealous of the Sega Genesis having its X-Men game, until the SNES got Mutant Apocalypse!
War of the Gems is SNES too.

Mighty Morphin X-Men Rangers
Psylocke looking extra thick out here.

Love the score of the 1st level with Beast. Something about it…..
a laid back jam.
check out my SketchSeries vids...I use the stage music from the game in the digital sketches.
They really ramp up the difficulty on the last stage
Unfortunately, I never tried with the other characters. I was used to Wolverine from the War of the Gems.

I hated the collapsing bridge in Psylocke's mission.
