Everybody's talking about SRV's outstanding guitarskills, but i havent seen one comment about his great voice
my Goose Bumps are hugging each other!
@@mrguitarwho5500 TMI. LOL. :OD
LordLorz : I keep those kinds of feelings...
private.
You are correct ... He is a great singer and player. But his band has to be given equal credit i think. :)
Sexy voice matches all he was
Omg that voice...that...guitar....those black jean...that band...omfg!!!!!
Stevie Was Simply the Best
I've never seen anyone play music with as much as Passion and pure energy as Stevie, he was truly a legend
Watch a jimi Hendrix clip then
agree tooo
Somewhat differant rythem styles
Nothing like Stevie to raise your spirits!
ricky6565 : Hmmm...he gets me
every time with that high action!🤦🏻♀️
Or your blood pressure due to his lightning, soul melting, guitar playing, vocal infused performance mastery.
No one can come close to jamming like SRV...
man that pianist is great aww love it
SO DO I ....WOW
That's Reese wynans
yeah I love the fact he looks more accountant than rock star and just rocks those keys
he's been with Joe Bonamassa for some time now.
Very few people command your attention the way Stevie did. Your almost afraid to look away because you know if you do your going to miss something..
Him and Clayton Delaney are the stars of the show up in heaven...cuz it's simply that the good Lord likes their pickin' too....
This is why SRV is my All-Time favorite single artist. Just pure emotion, I can feel it.
Alittle SRV puts me in a better mood. Always n Forever!
I've said it before I'll say it again, Double Trouble doesn't get enough credit. Could keep the rhythm like no else's business. God bless Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble!
That's what I have always said, if I were close to 1% as good as SRV, I don't think I would like to have my name as the band unless it's like a solo album or something like that, I feel like the others don't get credit, but thankfully in Double Trouble's case, they get plenty
Man!!! This tune, guitar, his voice, piano, the whole band, still gives me chills. Miss you Stevie. 🎸🎶🎙🎹
Can’t make better music than that performance
Amen missing him too😢
I miss em to he was my brother. I'm his Little Sister. He's 3 year's older then me. He always called me Little Sister Kiya Lynn.
One thing about Stevie Ray Vaughan's voice is explicit and mercy..he didn't take no trials on singing..got out on stage and opened his mouth and belted out the best lyrics as your hearing now..phenomenal talent..Best guitar pickin around for ages..great band..Stevie has got what it takes and he is flaunting his success at being the BEST..RIP Stevie..you are the BEST
No one has ever reached this level of talent and energy. I listen to his stuff every day . 🔥
Except for his idol......... Jimi!!!!!
As awesome as it gets...Dude knew his guitar!
As much as I Stevie Ray, I love watching Reese banging those keys!
RIP and long live Stevie Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 - August 27, 1990), aged 35
You will always be remembered as a legend.
My favorite SRV number. It has the perfect rock and blues sound that was Stevie's trademark.
Have to watch the video of this song where he breaks a string and keeps hammering. By far best SRV song
@@dackerson5 Is a cover
@@leoxardisimo no
@@dackerson5
"The song Look at Little Sister was written by Hank Ballard and was first recorded and released by Hank Ballard and The Midnighters in 1959"
@@leoxardisimo yes... that is correct
This is why I love SRV,,,feeling, passion sheer enjoyment from this group,,,and classical guitarist say being technical is their contribution to music. This guy is that and more,, thanks SRV and guys,,,this is TALENT personified!!!!
do u hear the power in his voice, he's got more
Stevie Ray was on top of his game that night. Awesome!!
SRV FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
Stevie was playing at a level at this show that was beyond what even he would normally play!!! If you watch the performances from this show, they are just phenomenal!!!
I think this was after his troubles with drugs & alcohol. He’s so crisp and on point. Plus you can tell he’s having fun. Gone too soon.
@@edwardburdett8586 😂
It has been said this show at The Capitol Theatre in Passaic NJ is one of his top performances of his career; I agree. He is blistering those guitar "strangs". Double Trouble is on top of their playing ability, just wonderful. Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey..Hey..Hey, look at Stevie Ray play!!.. ON FIRE!!..
S.R.V. got a nice singing

This guy was one of the very greatest guitarists ever!!! Watched a documentary. ! Blew me away!! He loved his music said if he'd never made it big time he'd of played in bars as long as he could play!!!

LOOK AT STEVIE
Amazing band
Still listening to Stevie Ray! Dad introduced me when I was very young! Know every song! Legend!!!!! X
The drummer and the guy on bass are pretty good also
ya they dont get too much credit
Bassist-Thomas Shannon. Drummer-Chris Whippet Lightning.
Reese Wynans rocks too !!
Chris "Whipper " Layton is the drummer
Ladies and gentlemen,... MY HERO!!!!! Im a young guitar player and I know its a very outlandish thing to say, but I try to emulate the SRV style. Even though there will never be another player that is exactly like him, I will, at the very least, try my hardest to get close...
+Hayden Murphy Enjoy the ride!
Just don't accept a helicopter ride from Eric Clapton if he's not in it.
He's the only guitarist that ever made me want to learn to play.
He's the only one for me too
Hayden Murphy practice makes perfect. Good stringing
Love seeing the drummer smiling big during the guitar solo. Yeehah!!
Heaven is rockin' don't bother knockin'
Listening to SRV in 2022.. 'Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Love when Reese is playing his part of the solo and you here Stevie shout “Whew” followed by Stevie’ s look of amazement. Two masters of their instruments.
I got to see Stevie just a few months before he died, along with Jeff Beck. Consider myself very fortunate.
I personally don’t think S.R.V. Received the recognition that He deserved. He was absolutely Fantastic.
LEGEND IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. MUSICALITY all the way...VOICE, GUITAR, SHOWMANSHIP!!! ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS.
Will admit this performance sounds thicker, heavier than the 1989 Austin City Limits one (with the string break and guitar replacement). Love both this 1985 version and 1989, especially since both contain the "new" keyboardist Reese Wynans; what a bonus sound added to the blues.
Best version so far, they are all just a little different
That New Jersey/New York area crowd had him fired up that night. My younger sister was in that audience.
Cada vez que lo escucho... Creo que lo amo más y a sus músicos!!!! Grandes músicos!!! EXTRAÑO A STEVIE!!!! SNIFFFFF, SNIFFF!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Yeah the whole band is just great, what a match !!!!😊😊😊😊 4:07
Stevie and his band were....well they were THE BEST...THE BEST💙💙
The number ONE: technique and heart
I LOVE IT.............................
maestro !!!
con todas las letras la puta madre , este chabón me inspira a seguir tocando más y más
My my.. favorite Blues🙏 Brother. SRV :✨💎✨(RIP)✨✨
Nope, there will not be someone covering this talent , voice and music
Miss and love SRV so much, Damn bros
Such a strong player. SRV has so many great licks. He had this ever fountain creativity with the blues. I really wish we had the next blues legend come forth and really step up to the plate.
For those of us old enough to recall... Stevie basically single handed rekindled the publics interest in the blues genre again in 1982-83 when Cold Shot was released as a single and started up the charts. He turned down a world tour offer from David Bowie to release his first solo album which was already 'in the can' after Bowie hired him to record what became Let's Dance. Stevies blues rhythm and phrasing colours that whole album. Anyway, as a young player he was my hero and a favourite player from day one. I always wore a beautiful flat brim hat to summer events and ever since then a catch phrase between me and certain friends when something cool happened in our lives or we bought something new was to say "Just like Stevie" as if to say that the ultimate compliment was to be like him. He was still so young.
Gerard Guitarist Cold Shot came out on Couldn't Stand the Weather, which was released in 1985.
Gerard Guitarist Greetings from the great USA Texas... were not old and I was in high school during the 1980s This man was the greatest guitar player of all time ...Jimi Hendricks stinks and was overrated due to how he passed away....what a shame how SRV passed away ...We plan to visit his grave in Dallas God bless you and yours
@@annaleonardi6299 you do know jimi was stevie's greatest influence , kind of like I said stevie was whack because of the way he died , like how what you literally said for hendrix . Every one of your favorite guitar players have been influenced by hendrix so show the original some respect
@@liquidtruth7954 as a player of over 25yrs i can say that hendrix sucks SRV is the greatest of all time followed by Rory Gallagher Scott hull Luc Lemay Joe Pass and Roy Buchanan
Much thanks to Bowie.
Just makes you want to get up and dance.
I’m just glad Stevie got to see Carnegie Hall. He got to the holy place in music lore with that in my book. I mean if flipping Montreux didn’t do it. I’m not big on idolizing individuals but Stevie really is my hero.
Sensational..Rock en Roll..away we go...Stevie Ray Vaughan at his finesttt... SENSATIONAL×5
Player made that piano dance!
Simply the best!
The best!!Il migliore cazzo,il migliore del mondo.Nessuno mai sarà meglio di lui!!RIP SRV!!
Assolutamente il migliore della storia, potenza e tecnica spaventose...
Well now you have! It blends with his fantastic skill of being one with his guitar. If my brother was alive today. He'd be singing this to me!
It's incredible to watch Reese play !! I've played a little piano, and to watch how his hands form shapes to make chords, it looks like he's just randomly banging on the keys, but everything he does sounds perfect .... I don't get it. :P
Everybody ... EVERYbody in this band is top shelf !!
I place all four of them side by side on the top shelf (it is a strong shelf BTW) with regards to talent.
They are by far my favorite group of artists to listen to and watch.
SRV is my favorite blues guitarist. His attitude and playing style are so honest and natural. Even when he was first starting out, he had it in his pocket !!
.....
He was not only the best guitar player in the world, but he and his band put on the best show in the world....YOU WANTED TO GIVE HIM MORE MONEY.
One of the immortals

First I saw it was 1985. Oh, I was born on this year. Then, September, the month I was born. 21! OMG! 09/21/1985. This happened exactly on the day I was born 😮🎉❤

Great song, by a great musical artist, getting energy into it.
