Happy Birthday Larry! (it's his birthday today everyone).
Happy Birthday Larry! That was funny and moving. I look forward to hearing more of your material.
Happy Birthday, Larry!! 🎉
Waking up to find a new show from Larry is a great present for us! Happy birthday you wonderful fellow!
Happy birthday Larry! Such a beautiful, clever, and funny gift to share with us. Thank you ❤
Happy Birthday mate 🎉
I laughed, I cried. You have a good heart, Larry Dean. Thank you for sharing a bit of Paul with us. 🤗
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it 💚
@@LarryDeanComedy i was greeting wae laughter until i was actually greeting when you says Paul had passed xxxx love you so much Larry! Watching your comedy has helped me through alot of dark times!
From a fellow person that identifies as an eye exam now lmao xxx
@@LarryDeanComedy and its so true about happy music making things less bleak.....which is why i'm having the countdown theme tune played at my funeral XD
Brilliant Larry, what a great tribute to your best good friend. Loved it
@@CharlesWallPiano thanks so much!
OMFG - that has to be one of the best, rounded, interconnected, and complete stage shows ever crafted. A work of genius - the funniest hour long eulogy. Respect. xxx. (from one Scottish pouff to another.)
Check out Drew Lynch. He has that same kind of circle-back tie-it-all-together style.
All comedians do. Hence the term "callback".
@@datgrrl_official No, all comedians definitely do not. Dean and Lynch are especially good at it.
This is one of the best sets I’ve seen in recent memory. Considering Larry’s unique A-list comedy and impressions is then combined with the most unexpected and poignant finale you’re ever likely to see in a stand-up, Larry will probably become one of your favorite comedians before the show is even over. And don’t forget his other incredible special here on UA-cam…FanDan. 🤙🏼
wow, this is the smartest organization of a comedy show and the most touching, while being simultaneously hillarious. What a wonderful hour of my life that was
My grandmother's funeral had probably the most inappropriate music ever. Her favourite song was "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. So, as her name was Mary, and she was a proud lady, the family chose to play "Proud Mary" as her coffin was carried into the crematorium... it was only then that they realised the lyrics were "Proud Mary keep on burning."
@@Beckford4000 😂😂
Brilliant. Your grandma was a chaos goblin
😂😂😂 that's amazing😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Laughter through tears and darkness is a gift. One night working a closing shift at my old job, one of my co-workers pointed out that it was Father's Day and their dad was no longer with us. I said my dad died already, too. We checked and realized the entire shift, all five of us, had dead dads. We all laughed about the fact that they scheduled an entire closing shift on Father's Day of folks without dads. We had to wonder if that was on on purpose. Did they think, "Well none of these folks are taking their dads out for dinner that night, sooooo..." We called ourselves the Dead Dad Crew and joked about making t-shirts. It was a wide age range in our team that night, too. The oldest person was close to 60 and the youngest was only like 22. I asked the scheduling manager next time I saw her if it was deliberate and she felt terrible and apologized profusely. I just laughed and said, "You should have taken credit, we all thought it was brilliant for a variety of reasons!"
One of the best 👏
Layers on layers of amazingly thought through comedy and art.
Beautifully done
@@JaseHwk thanks very much mate!
I love Larry Dean. He gives us all permission to be frail, to be human, and to be all right with it.
Happy birthday Larry. This is your best show ever. I laughed until the tears ran down my legs and I cried about your loss of Paul. It's obvious that you had a great friendship and that he will never leave you. Just look over your shoulder. Love you man. Take care. From a guy in Stirling.
What a wonderful special to watch. Every emotion came to the surface.
Amazing tribute to your very best friend Paul. You should be very proud . Wonderful ❤
Apart from being brilliantly funny, has anyone else noticed how devastatingly handsome Larry Dean actually is? 🥰😍
Yes. He's gorgeous.
Yes, yes, yes.
Blink twice if he’s holding you hostage
This is (to the surprise of my expectations going in) one of the most powerful and moving pieces of media I've seen in years. That you can direct others to such heights and depths of emotion while keeping the presentation light-hearted and inviting is truly a gift. Thank you immensely for sharing!
Still sitting here crying and smiling at the same time. I loved that so much! Sending more awesome in jokes your way Larry ❤❤❤
I love how honest he is about his internal monologue when it comes to mental health. ❤
Surprised you just uploaded the full thing, but appreciate it mate.
You're so kind for treating us with this gift on YOUR birthday 🎉
I've lost so many people in my life (to death, I mean), listening to you use your grief and your friendship in this way was beautiful. Thank you for sharing part of Paul, and yourself, with us. Be safe and be well Garry ❤
I am very glad Paul was there. What legends you two!
Wow. Excellent. Just excellent 👌
The whole show was great but that last 5-10 minutes was just perfection 👏👏👏
Holy $h!+ this is absolutely beautiful! Such an amazing tribute to a friendship cut too short. And hilarious, to boot! Thanks for sharing this most-vulnerable of times with us.
Paul sounds like an exemplary friend. as are you. what a way to honor your best friend. my best friend died in college a week after another friend's father died. both were cremated. at the first party after spring break, there was an ash tray overflowing and i said to my friend, "your dad is a sloppy drunk" and he replied, "i just emptied my dad into the trash can under the sink. That (pointing to the ashtray) is *******." we cackled while everyone else looked at us slack-jawed:)
I was supposed to see Fudnut live, but was denied a UK visa in 2022. So glad it’s fully on here now!
Got to see his latest one, Dodger, at the Fringe this year (and got roasted by him) which made it 100x better 😂
Easily my favourite comedian!
Larry this is really beautiful and funny. Thanks for sharing and hope can see you live soon!
Thankyou for sharing Paul with us all, that was an amazing show 🥰
What a moving, hilarious tribute.
Wow. What a ride. Tears of laughter and tears of sadness. This will resonate with everyone who has lost a best friend. You’re a brilliant performer Larry and have a good heart.
I laughed, I cried, then I laughed whilst crying. Larry, what a wonderfully hilarious and poignant tribute/belated eulogy to your best friend forever. RIP Paul ❤
I’ll be watching that a second time for sure! One of the most brilliant tributes I’ve seen… what a way to immortalize your best good friend!
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing this show, and thanks for sharing Paul with us.
So glad I'm not the only one crying in the comments 😂😂 this whole show was absolutely amazing ❤❤
That was the first comedy show that I have really enjoyed and ended up crying at the end. Very moving! Thank you Garry. :)
Larry Dean is hysterically funny! This special is hilarious!
This is so beautiful, thank you for framing all these memories into such a thought through piece that really hits home❤
I laughed my ass off and bawled my eyes out
I really love your way of storytelling in your jokes and how you connect all the pieces together in an organized chaos❤
Larry, that was one of the most moving comedy specials I have seen. I'm just loving Scottish comedy at the moment. It makes me wish I still lived there. But NZ has its own charms 😊 Thanks
If I wasn't a fan before, I'm one hell of a fan now, Larry. This was so good and so touching. I laughed and I cried (really needed both today). Thank you. I felt like I got to see the real you, talking about your head and heart. Paul would've loved this... and happy belated birthday. ❤ P.S. I'm also riddled and identify as an eye test! 😂
Holy fuck, Ive just watched an absolute piece of art. This has to be one of the most ingenuitive sets ive had the pleasure to witness
Thanks so much ❤
Absolutely amazing 😍
Gary, you are absolutely brilliant! So talented. Thank you for giving me the biggest laughs in quite some time.
PS : went through a horrible breakup 13 months ago. Not at the point yet where I’m hoping that he’s happy!
That was beautiful, funny, and poetic. Good job Larry
Absolutely brilliant - I am craughing! You are a genius ❤😂❤
Incredible piece of writing and performance, Larry. Well done 🎉
Thank you Paul❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are a lovely person who is prime time hilariously funny. Your shows are very well constructed. ❤
Genius❤
Incredible show and congrats on being so open and vulnerable. It's lovely to see a bit more of you!
Big love Larry, this was amazing
This was such an amazing set Larry or should i say Garry 😂 I am excited to watch your evolution in comedy and call forwards. I wonder how things connect, my great grandmother left us yesterday and I got to watch this amazing set thinking about her❤
Thank you! ❤
Thanks for sharing Larry, you always make me smile.
Yeah! Huge hugs 💗
Wow, that was brilliant! Genius! So funny and what a gorgeous way to give a thumbs up to a passed best friend. ❤
Thanks for talking about losing your best friend. Lost mine at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. Best man at my wedding. Stood by me as my wife and I negotiated our first pregnancy when we weren't supposed to ever have children. Could tell me in a loving way when I was full of shit. Gave me the first nickname in my life that I actually loved. He was just such a big part of my life. Time has not healed his loss but instead has given me the gift of knowing that he was and always will be my best friend. You reminded me that despite the years we should always hold on to that special relationship that made us friends.
Brilliantly funny set and a beautiful tribute to your best good friend. He is definitely proud of you. ❤❤ I hope to catch you live some day!
Wonderful!
This set is just epic. Hilarious and such a wonderful tribute ❤
Thank you youtube algorithm 🙏🏻
Saw you at the
Kings in Glasgow a few ago. You absolutely smashed it! Laughed from start to finish
That was lovely. Laugh Out Loud lovely. Thank you.
Great show, Larry, you're the best! Huge hug from Italy.
That was a really well-integrated and thought-out script, delivered effortlessly like it were a casual chit chat session with the audience!!
So many amazing, surprising, and unexpected associations among the various parts of the scripts and different stories via callbacks and callforwards....
Sorry for your loss sir, the show is hilarious though!
I love it! So well crafted and satisfying. A proper tribute. Bravo 👏
❤❤❤
What a beautiful homage. I feel privelaged to have laughed at the same in jokes. And i definitely laughed 🖤
🤍 Larry, I cannot put this into words, I'm lost for them. Anything would sound just pathetic. I love your art and watching you doing that. Thank you.
Great job Larry!
A brilliant example of how happy music softens dark stuff is the song "Bullet" by Hollywood Undead. It represents how someone who is badly struggling on the inside puts on a merry facade.
You got me laughing and crying hysterically. Thank you for sharing Paul’s jokes with the rest of us... Sounds like he was a wonderful friend. This set feels like an antidote to the sadness and grief that hits really hard this time of year.
I love this. Beautiful & hilarious in equal measures. Paul will surely be king of the call-forward
I played Disco Inferno by the moment you said "Thank you very much" in this video so I would relive your sketch in time. Then it also become the Outro. You're the best this time, Larry! Thank you for the laugh!
Never before have I seen a set so extremely funny and unbelievably touching - excellent and thank you for sharing Paul
Sending hugs!!! Paul will always be there for you. Great show! Paul would be proud :)
Absolutely brilliant can’t wait to see your set in glasgow 🙌🏼
Larry, happy birthday, and thank you for a fantastic and very special special!
Again, lad. Masterfully done. ❤
Amazing! Talented funny show, handsome as ever, touching and hilarious. Beautiful hommage to your dear friend. Sorry for your loss. Best wishes to you!
Thank you so much for posting this Larry! Huge fan of yours ❤ I am so sorry for your loss of Paul. I hope you are coping well with such a loss x
I had such a good time watching this show, beautiful on so many layers! The stories about Paul made me think about and be grateful for my best friend, so thanks for that. Oh and happy Birthday, hope you have a good day!
Thank you for this, and also sharing of yourself!
Sorry for the loss of Paul!
Wishing you many blessings!!
Happy Belated Birthday, Larry🎉🎉
Absolutely hilarious guy, love your work ❤
And happy birthday! ❤
I still have my good best friend and can't imagine a world without him. Your humor is still there. It's likely you're channeling a bit of that connection. Best.
You've got a heart of gold Larry, don't let anyone take it from you.
Beautiful person with lovely humor! Happy birthday, Larry! I enjoyed seeing you on TV and also here on UA-cam.
Excellent work, can’t wait until you are back in Melbourne again. Thanks for posting ❤
I needed these kinds of laughs today man. THANK YOU
i discovered you some days ago and had been over your videos, seen many of the jokes in this show as a separate thing. I already thought you were great but man. the deep substrat of feeling going all the time under the hilarious jokes...You are incredible, thanks man, really. I dont believe you will ever be coming to Patagonia, but you are in my bucket list if i ever go your way.
Brilliant and charming. I plead guilty.
That was fuckin excellent mate.
Laughing with tears. Thank you Larry 😂
Extraordinary show, thanks for sharing
You are pure joy
This was absolutely beautiful. Funny, sad, and heart-warming, this was quite the slice of life.
You made Paul proud 👏 😅❤
You really stepped up your game for this one. Hilarious and unexpectedly wholesome towards the end.
Hi Larry. Wasn't expecting laughs and tears for the show. At first, i was hoping it is a comedy show for silly jokes and laughs. But then Paul story came out and I started to cry. (Easy to feel related...)
Although it is your personal story and not exactly silly jokes, I don't regret watching the show. What a great way to remember a loved one. Agreed "We can learn somethings from jokes". Thank you for letting us know Paul.
He's that off of a cartoon 😂 like looney tunes
Absolutely wonderful stuff Larry!
Thank you!
X
Larry you're always immense as usual.
