Poor Snorre. The one who obviously inspired every single one of OG Norwegian BM bands but most have never heard of him. The Norwegian BM sound is not found on deathcruch. This is that sound and way of riffing. Burzum, de mysteries mayhem, early Emperor, early gorgoroth, ulver etc you name it from the early bands. They all took from thisin one way
You say it! There is an interview with Marius Vold telling that back in those days each of those bands wanted to sound like thorns. When we speak about the music only, the Influence of Mayhem is definately overrated and Thorns definately underrated.
It's not a release as such though, it's an instrumental demo tape which was supposed to be finished with vocals but it was spread around before it happened
this... isnt the album cover though? the "release" didn't have one at all. it was intended to be a practice tape. a quick look on metal archives would tell you that lol.
What if black metal could have lived it's dark life in the underground forever instead of being blasted into all sorts of money, pose and fame - hungered shit due to the murder of Euronymous, aka world fame through tabloid media?
@@thetruemusichead Snorre plays guitar and bass too, although some other guy might play bass. No, Faust was supposed to play drums but as you can hear..no drums, the tape was unfinished basically lol
THIS IS THE ROOTS OF TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL. THIS GUY PLAYING HERE IS NAMED SNORRE. HE WAS THERE WHEN EURONIMOUS OF MAYHEM GOT KILLED BY VARG. HE WAS A BIG INFLUENCE TO WHAT IS BLACK METAL TODAY. THIS THAPE WAS MENT TO BE ADDED DRUMS AND VOCALS. BUT THE TAPE SPREAD WORLDWIDE BEFORE THE RECORDING GOT ANY OF IT. SO IT WAS NEVER DONE. THE TAPE IS A VERY ORIGINAL PIECE OF HISTORY. IF YOU CALL THIS OVERPRODUCED, YOU DONT KNOW TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL. THIS IS WHAT TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL SOUNDS LIKE. HE IS ONE OF "THE INNER SIRCLE" AMONG OTHERS. AFTER THIS CAME ALSO ENSLAVED, EMPEROR, DIMMU BORGIR. DARK THRONE! IF YOU LIKE DEATH METAL, GO LISTEN TO THAT INSTEAD, BUT THIS IS TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL, NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO CALL IT.
Man i just love this shit its just full of energy and originality which is saying a lot this is pretty much the beginning of second wave

snorre? the one to rat varg??
@@imiptat Dunno if he ratted him but, of course that‘s part of a very interesting complex of questions, isn‘t it?
the bass player is the most creative i've ever heard
good one XD
xD
But the drummer is a no match...
But let's not deceive ourselves, we all came here for the vocals.
Album art here is the best. This release is underrated greatness. Home is perfection.

Imagine anyone in the US or UK putting this out and expecting people to listen...takes a certain kind of conviction
The fact that i can hear the electrically warbly low bitrate mp3 as well just adds to how raw this is
lol you absolutely can hear the compression haha
Really good
In this demo there is a diabolical purity that was made at the right time.
so under noticed, my black metal holy grail. these guys deserved better than they got
Guy.....not guys.

cette musique ce distingue vraiment des autres. c'est un vrai grand band 👍☣️

Killer album 👍
That bass...
❤The first cm ion that they resemble, which was first because that heavy is very obvious that it is the one of the. Song 🎉 Mayhem
HAIL TO THE CORE !!!!!
Hail
lol home is basically the first burzum album
The initial riff sounds a lot like from Deathcrush.
more like mayhem's from the dark past
Snorre influenced Øystein and the most of the Norwegian Black Metal scene.
this shit is GRIM as hell
Home is a fuckin cold track... maybe also because its Magne Andreassen's dirge I guess
Pic is Faust btw
Oh hah, so hes not even on this release then?

So much better without drums. Compression is on par as well.
Overproduced.
I know! I heard two entire notes through the static! What kind of radio-friendly poser shit is this? 😠
