This is a dream come true for me. I can’t believe Snorre is teaching us! Grymyrk is my favourite BM release EVER and I’ve been listening to it before bed every night for years. Whenever someone says “Bass isn’t important in BM” send them to Grymyrk for an education lesson.

This is a massive dream come true. For years everyone has been trying to master this. Now the master himself unveiled the blueprints to the true Norwegian sound. Its like the hidden treasure that everyone searches for and now we found it. Skål to the gods! Skål to snorre! Skål to blizzards!

Wow!!! This is not only a huge honor and a privilege but this is quite honestly one of the greatest things to happen for me personally! Grymyrk is absolutely amazing work and some of the coldest music to ever come out. Highly influential and one of a kind. Skål!

@@snorresschoolofdesktopsata1945 Indeed it looks very inspiring compared to a mundane pc! (also extremely more expensive I suppose) If I may ask Sir Snorre when can we expect some new, much needed, THORNS?

We are tracking vocals for the new album these days, so I guess and hope the album will see the light of day in 2024. The synth stuff is rather expensive but totally worth it work flow wise. And much more inspiring and unique sounding. I have a whole band in my rack, Bass, lead, kick, snare and hat. And a ton of versatility.

Hello,Snorre! Can you tell us the story of how you got your AMT preamplifier? What is your opinion about this device, its tone? How do you approach shaping your guitar tone with this preamp? Why exactly this, and not some other, more expensive device or fashionable plugin? Thanks in advance for your answer! Greetings from Siberia!

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised to see you have an AMT pedal! This guitar equipment company is from Siberia, they have very interesting instruments. I'm in my band Devilgroth, I use an AMT Stonehead amplifier in combination with a Peavey pxd guitar (Guitar like Varg's) By the way, hello to you Sir Snorre from cold Russia and Siberia! \m/

@snorresschoolofdesktopsata1945 By the way the AMT-R1 was cool a pedal (had one long ago) when connected to tube poweramp. Well, the real recto-head of 90s was of course more brutal and powerful, with wow-factor, but pedal had advantage to with its sharp and clear highs.

I don't have it here with me now, but it's something like this:
-Signal from guitar picked up by Duncan Distortion
-Super Tube has minimum drive, normal level, Bite and Bright at medium
-ATM Bulava SS-30 has Crunch Bright enabled. Distortion Tone Shift does some interesting things to the tone but I most often leave it off. The High is on max, the Mids are very moderate and the Low is most often below half but balanced against the High and Mid. Level is on normal and the Drive is adjusted to what I currently want to play. I like to keep the sound dry and I most often go for distinction.
