Yea man he died at such young age and had so much potential but this world is so cruel and unjust that people who deserve to live die and those to deserve to die live

"You gotta shoot for the stars in EVERY situation." Words to live by. Kid was truly meant to be a star. You can see, that mindset is what got him so far. Rest In Peace legend
"everyone loves buttons" "greatest farmer ever" "stabbing people in lego game won't matter in 3 years" The foreshadowing in this video is on another level
“I have a healthy fear of death irl” This man clearly was going though awful things this past year and still decided to show none of it to us. What a champ. Thank you techno for everything.
He picked the option of keeping his arm instead of amputating it as it seemed to unlikely to backfire, but a lot of times when an aggressive cancer isn't taken out with a nuke like amputation, it'll come back with a vengeance... That's what happened to him too... Guess the "shoot for the stars... except when it's about dying" didn't exactly apply... Losing an arm is horrible, and it's not really talked about how cancer can just come back from insurmountable odds like that, but even though "what if"s aren't helpful, I wish he would have taken the safe option...
@@sudenluola2241 he said in one of his videos that amputating his arm would not have increased his odds of surviving his cancer or prolongin his life so he chose to go with other treatment options
Techno: being good at lego pvp probably won't matter in 3 years 3 years later: wins several minecraft tournaments winning 20k usd and pig rank while getting 1 mil subs
the fact his philosophy applies to his own life is just so incredible. like, he was talking about how he was willing to risk it all for success, and how he had a healthy fear of death, but like his whole belief was that people only matter for what they end up doing. and he did a whole lot, too, even if it was just within a minecraft community. even if he's not alive, it's still kind of reassuring to know that even if he didn't do everything he wanted to do, but he still did what he said he would. he pressed the button with a 5% chance of real success doing minecraft videos, and i think that's so admirable. and like-- he legitimately will never die, not as long as youtube's still around. he's still the dude who sat there playing skywars gambling with the philosophy he came up with, and out of every legacy, i think even 22 year old him would've rather had it be something he enjoyed than being safe. he spent five years actually enjoying his life, and in his philosophy, i think that's the real purpose of the button with a 5% chance of success. it's about being happy with what you leave behind, not being worried about whether or not it stays forever. and ultimately, he got the best of both worlds.
“PvP will probably not matter in 3 years” and now here he is killing people to raise 11 thousand dollars to charity and playing the Dream SMP fighting all the time. oh techno
Now he's here, literally winning one of the most important duels of this minecraft generation, and arguably one of the most important in minecraft history,a duel that will truly go down in history, one that might lay the foundations for the next minecraft youtuber generation, one that the next generation will look upon, one that the next big youtubers will watch for tips on how to win their own duel, and maybe, just maybe, bring victory for techno's students, long after he's past his pvp prime.
When watching this video, I realized what makes techno's death so sad to me. He was really living his best life, shooting for the stars, and really just seemed to be enjoying being alive. For me, finding out that I have cancer and will die in a year wouldn't be such a big issue, because I'm not really enjoying life at the moment, and I think I would easily make peace with it. The hardest thing is to see someone so young, and so motivated, die right when they are beginning to experience big success. Technoblade succeeded in becoming a great UA-camr, he kept his motivation, and then it all had to be cut short. I'm currently in college, but I'm not sure what I want to be. I don't know if I'll be here in ten years. All I really want out of life is to find something I really care about, spend my life doing it, and be at peace. Technoblade knew what he wanted, he went for it, and now he's... gone. Sorry for the rant, I just felt like saying something, this video really hit different.
I completely know what you mean. I'm not enjoying life either, but seeing Technoblade's videos always made my day a little better. Seeing how much effort he put into everything he did, and the vitality he had in life...it inspired me to do better for myself. He reminded me that sometimes life is worth fighting for. And now that he's gone, I feel even more hopeless than before. I don't know why it's always the good ones that are taken from us too soon. It's just not fair.
I truly hope you have started to find a good life and even if you haven’t just remember what the blood god said, Within us resides the power to achieve something truly beautiful and as we look back at we’re we started we will be amazed by how far we’ve come. “I hope you all go on to live happy prosperous lives because I love you guys Technoblade out”

this is weirdly haunting rewatching after Techno's death. it's a shame he had the chance to become an author taken away from him by cancer. it just goes to show, if you're reading this, don't be afraid to chase your dreams and try the impossible, in his far too short life, Techno managed to have such a massive influence on so many people simply by doing what he loved, you can do the same :) R.I.P Technoblade, thank you for everything
I remember watching this video a REALLY long time ago and 14 year old me was like "screw it, techno has a point". I'm not yet where i want to be but i'm going to get there goddammit even if it seems very unrealistic to me and everyone else in the present. This just goes to show that Techno was truly the unique person he always wanted to be thru his philosophy, and also because he is able to say some words that can make someone re-think their life whilst he's entertaining them by styling on kids in a block game either if it was right now in 2022 or back in 2017, or any time in the future. His cool edgy philosophy will live on forever thru us.
I’m hear after the whole “so long nerds” thing. I just wanted to hear techno talk about the fragility of it all. Technoblade never dies, he continues within us. He hit that button and he got that 5% superstar life and made all of us cry all at once.

Hearing how Alex was afraid of death, more so than every other fear, is extremely disheartening (maybe not the right word, but IDK). He had much more of a sound philosophical base than I had at his age and even now. I'm sad that I didn't watch many vids before he passed and that I will never be able to meet the man. RIP, Techno
It's because of Techno's starry-eyed idealism that the world has witnessed and been moved by his humour and creativity, and it's killing me to think about what his passion and potential could have achieved in the literary world had tragedy not struck. -Anyhow- Regardless, the joy and inspiration he's instilled in the world thus far will ensure his legacy lives on through all those his life has touched. We'll see you in the night skies, Techno.
Notice how whenever he chose an alt skin or a default skin he always chose Alex over Steve. How we never noticed the seemingly meaningless decision. His name was Alex. We would have never known if technoblade's father didn't tell us. It was in our face the entire time. Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. - Sun Tzu

Man, it hurts watching this video now. I'm the complete opposite of Techno. Always going for the safe route, being overly realistic with my decisions and never really going for risks. It even got to a point where I was just unhappy with everything that I did and nothing interested me anymore other than wrapping a rope around my neck. Then I came across this random guy with hot elbows blabbing on and on about things while playing a block game and somehow, for some odd reason, he inspired me to try to get out of my shell and actually do things. His philosophy of shooting for the stars is something I decided to borrow for myself. And wouldn't you know it, I found a sliver of happiness even though I know for a fact that my decisions are just generally bad and would probably lead to ruin. I am well aware of the fact that I might just end up in a worse place than I already am in, but the prospect of an incredibly bright future that I couldn't even dream of being possible is just too tempting for me. Techno's philosophy in life fills me with motivation I've never felt before and I would like to thank the Blood God for leaving me a gift I will never forget. Thank you Techno. You gave me motivation in my darkest times. Rest now, King. May we meet you again in the stars.
I wept over your comment. I'm so happy that Techno has touched you in this way! Going for the route of risks is all life is about, because without it you realized you're not living at all. True humility shows that you've got nothing to lose, because what's true is that you've got nothing at all except for free will, a physical body to achieve your free will, unlimited imagination, a moral compass and a lifespan on Earth. You can't lose these things, so putting them to use is about taking risks :)
Somehow, I never saw this video until now. Throughout most of my undergraduate degree, I have been watching Technoblade. It started off as background noise, then developed into being my favourite part of my evenings as I watched him after all my essays or readings were done for the night, my treat after a long day. I always thought Techno was brilliant- not just for his playstyle, but his approach to life. Witty, light-hearted, creative... I never knew he wanted to be a writer. I cried when I heard him say that. As I soon begin my journey as a graduate student, I can't help but remember all the times I listened to Techno as I wrote my work: long and tedious papers ranging from textual analysis to presentation responses, up to my own dissertation. I consider myself to be a writer. Maybe not a fun one (I study English literature- but I do not write it) but nevertheless, a writer. I really hope I can keep his spirit alive through my works. He's right: always guess, stay curious, take every opportunity and leave nothing blank. That is the very spirit of academia. So, thank you, Techno. I owe you so much. :)
Saaaaame. I'm 16 in like less than 2 weeks and for the longest time youtubers who are like 16+ to me sorta seemed the same as ones in their 20s but now there's a proper difference and it's *weird* like i wouldn't trust anyone my age with a driver's license, and definitely not me, and yet..

"Even with all the odds, shoot for the stars" - Technoblades Philosophy He really did shoot for the stars. Statistically, being a youtuber has a low chance of making you popular, but being a MINECRAFT youtuber (it was still somewhat popular, but wasn't surging in a viral age of popularity in 2012-2013 and later in 2019). He was really fighting against very stupid odds, even before minecrafts popularity surge the only reason he managed to start reaching toward a million subscribers was because of a video where people accidentally autoplayed it after falling asleep from watching one of his videos to fall asleep (and of course his funny humor and comedic timing). This small coincidence.. gained him the boost he needed, it was his first video to reach a million views, he kept on growing. Minecraft, by some grace of god, became more popular in the streaming area, it became trendy again (it always had lots of players, but wasn't always 'popular'). Then he slowly began an extremely unlikely rise in popularity, playing with infamous superstars around the world, his crawl was surprisingly slow despite his instant notoriousness. It took time for people to warm up to him, if at all. He shot for the stars and he made it. I still miss him.
this was immediately recommended to me by youtube after the announcement...I'm sobbing so hard right now I can't even think straight enough to articulate what I want to say in this comment...just know that technoblade never dies, not in our hearts now if you'll excuse me I'll be binging the rest of his videos. This is the most Technoblade video out there. His top-notch PVP, his ramblings about life, about random things that make us laugh. Man… And boy, did he shoot for the moon/stars. While most aspiring content creators don’t even expect to get subs (or at most, aim for 1 million), Alex shot for 10 mil (while sometimes joked about getting any sub). And now we’re approaching 15 mil
You know, Even after 8 months and 2 weeks he still is helping people through there lives and that is truly a gift to help the lives of people even when you are looking down and them because, “no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these challenges and achieve something beautiful. That one day, we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come.”
i don’t know why but techno saying “okay?” at like 20:13 ish like made me start to tear up- he just sounds so wholesome and loving and supporting and ?????
yeah it's strange to me to see someone like techno being so real, because in a majority of his videos he's trying to entertain and play the game, but in this video he becomes a lot more human, and whenever I see any content creator do this it honestly makes me like them a lot more.
Now I lowkey want to chase my dreams ten times more, since apparently, this guy is as old as I am- Most youtubers are around five years older than me and had already built their lives, *but now I feel obligated to do something hardcore too.*
It all worked out fine teen Techno, you took the gambit and you live to see your youtube dreams come true. You made a huge impact to millions and left with a great legacy. You reached for the stars, and now you're shining amongst them. Rest In Peace.

Yeah... He described it as a kinda poor risk evaluation sort of thing, but I think it's less risk, and more his willpower and skill that allows him to "shoot for the stars."
Yeah, I respect that about him. He makes what seems impossible completely possible, and going by his potato wars videos he doesn't just try hard he tries *smart*. The man *strategizes*. His philosophy is a cure to procrastination. Procrastination happens when you're scared of doing something because it's important, but if you care less about the risk, you would do better instead of not doing anything.
I procrastinate because of my executive dysfunction, I wish this philosophy was the cure because if it was then I'd be a lot more successful in my life

the fact his philosophy applies to his own life is just so incredible. like, he was talking about how he was willing to risk it all for success, and how he had a healthy fear of death, but like his whole belief was that people only matter for what they end up doing. and he did a whole lot, too, even if it was just within a minecraft community. even if he's not alive, it's still kind of reassuring to know that even if he didn't do everything he wanted to do, but he still did what he said he would. he pressed the button with a 5% chance of real success doing minecraft videos, and i think that's so admirable. and like-- he legitimately will never die, not as long as youtube's still around. he's still the dude who sat there playing skywars gambling with the philosophy he came up with, and out of every legacy, i think even 22 year old him would've rather had it be something he enjoyed than being safe.
he spent five years actually enjoying his life, and in his philosophy, i think that's the real purpose of the button with a 5% chance of success. it's about being happy with what you leave behind, not being worried about whether or not it stays forever. and ultimately, he got the best of both worlds.

Mf almost committed suicide but a random ass dude playin a funny block game stopped it 🗿
Somehow, I never saw this video until now.
when techno said hes 17... bro i forget so often that im not 11 anymore and the youtubers i like are gonna be closer to my age its so weird
Saaaaame. I'm 16 in like less than 2 weeks and for the longest time youtubers who are like 16+ to me sorta seemed the same as ones in their 20s but now there's a proper difference and it's *weird*

Of all videos of him to get recommended to me, this had to be the one. It's like he's still trolling people, even after death. Goddamnit Techno, I miss you, dude.
frrr
Bro techno is the kind of guy who would troll us after death lmfao
this vid hit so hard. i miss him so much
Damn hearing him talk about growing old and the genuine feelings of wanting to connect to fans just is another hit in the gut can't even imagine the grief those close to him are experiencing.
"Even with all the odds, shoot for the stars" - Technoblades Philosophy
He really did shoot for the stars.
Techno: *unless you're a gender studies major*
Theology majors: *he forgot we existed We're safe for now*
Yeeeaaaaaaah theology only matters if you’re actually going into a field involving it, there are barely any fields for gender studies
Yeah the only job where it matters would be a gender therapist
this was immediately recommended to me by youtube after the announcement...I'm sobbing so hard right now I can't even think straight enough to articulate what I want to say in this comment...just know that technoblade never dies, not in our hearts
now if you'll excuse me I'll be binging the rest of his videos. RIP King.

This is the most Technoblade video out there. His top-notch PVP, his ramblings about life, about random things that make us laugh.
Man…
And boy, did he shoot for the moon/stars.
I'm crying while watching this help idk why
Now I lowkey want to chase my dreams ten times more, since apparently, this guy is as old as I am-
Most youtubers are around five years older than me and had already built their lives, *but now I feel obligated to do something hardcore too.*
When he says it, it hits right in the feels
@@Squilly4 it was all part of his masta plaaaaan!!!!
This will always be one of my absolute favorites and I'm so glad it's back. Thank you Techno!
SO TRUE!! it’s so awesome that this vid is back, this video is the best!!
Superman's dad! I hope you have a great day. :)
Y E S.
Did the vid get taken down? This is my first time watching it and it's wonderful.
It all worked out fine teen Techno, you took the gambit and you live to see your youtube dreams come true. You made a huge impact to millions and left with a great legacy. You reached for the stars, and now you're shining amongst them. Rest In Peace.
“Techno turned out alright in the end”
MC Nick Carraway
17:37 “What do you guys want to do with your life? That’s like the one thing I care about in a person, like, what’s your endgame, what do you, if everything went perfectly, what would you be? That’s the only- that’s like the question I need to ask more people in real life cause that’s the defining question of who someone is is what they want to be.”
This thought has been in my head for months. Watching this video, years ago, is what got me on this train of thought to begin with as far as I’m aware. I’ve been spending months trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and I hope these thoughts will help me. I don’t know what I want to get but I’m going to have a hell of a lot of fun figuring it out.
How are you doing these days?
Bro after hearing his whole "philosophy" everything makes sense now
-I'm gonna get 10 mil subs (at 1.9mil rn!)
-I'm gonna get/create pig rank ✅
-I'm gonna get 1000 bedwars win streak (twice lmao) ✅
-I'm gonna be #1 potato farmer ✅
-I'm gonna farm 500mil potatoes/win war ✅
-I'm gonna win minecraft monday/minecraft championship ✅
I think the difference, however, is how techno sets very unrealistic goals and "shoots for the moon" for things he's gonna do/achieve but then he works extremely hard to make everything happen, no matter how silly or time-consuming
In 4 weeks he got like 20,000-30,000 subs ._. Uhhhhhh
It's inspiring because I'm completely stuck in my life with lofty goals I still fully intend to reach but am making like. 0 progress on.
Soon, he will write a book and become like the most popular author of the 3rd milenia.

:(
I’ve never been one to cry about something, no matter how tragic or traumatic.
But this has gotten me down low for a couple of days now. I try not to cry, but it’s impossible. I don’t want to accept that he’s gone, but what choice is there. Such an amazing man, such a respectable warrior. The numerous intricacies this video concerned have done nothing more than hurt me, whilst simultaneously inspiring me to go beyond. May he live in the hearts of man forever, and may his voice be a beacon of hope.
Same. I never cry. However Technoblade’s death made me cry. Very confusing.
well, at least there’s a community to support each other through this. Uniting under melancholy.
He aimed for the stars and landed so much further. What a chad. Rest In Peace techno
I'm so sad that I never came across Technoblade until I heard that he had died. I've been watching so many of his videos these past few days and this one connects with me on such a crazy level. His humility is endless, and his mind was so ineluctably grounded on what many would discourage and think to be impossible. He clearly never doubted his destiny and it's amazing what he accomplished before dying so young. R.I.P Techno, your words, humor, and philosophy will live on and continue to inspire countless people.. beyond what you could have ever imagined
He shot for the stars, and got to the moon. Had he had a long life, he would have gotten to the other side of the universe.
I agree it's been a month and I still keep watching. Idk why I never watched him before
It’s the exact same for me. I really wish I had stumbled across his content sooner. Fly high king.
same here!
wait je ded?
I didn't think I'd be able to come back and watch more of his videos and not cry. But this made me realize so much. And know what? I'm going to shoot for the stars in everything I do. He's right, why shoot lower when you can go so much farther? Thank you Techno, for everything you've done.
My boyfriend looks up to him so much and said the same to me. He isn't going to waste any time not accomplishing his goals because of Alex. May he rest in peace. He was an amazing person.
Also dw I'm kinda crying too.
"i have a very big fear of death"
Hopefully this sticks with you and you actually do that.
The last time we hear him say anyhow :(
I’m the opposite of him. I fear failure but welcome death. I don’t enjoy life much is all.

Techno is such an inspiration legit as a teen with adhd i relate so much to him 3 years ago... he's got so many aspirations and such a positive philosophy .. I've never had such a long-term goal and just vibe in the moment but maybe I should change that mindset
“Doctors are great man, they’ll keep me alive in the future.” Well, he was right.

8:19 'shoot for the stars in every situation'
Oh my god… this video, man. As an afterthought. Oh, techno. You didn’t get to grow old. And the doctors tried to look after you much faster than you anticepated. But there was a meaning to your philosophy. You made the right choice in the end. To do your thing. The thing you were great at. And for that we are forever grateful.
His philosophy is a cure to procrastination. Procrastination happens when you're scared of doing something because it's important, but if you care less about the risk, you would do better instead of not doing anything.
thx man, this is something good to think about! maybe i can procrastinate less if i shoot for the stars!
I procrastinate because of my executive dysfunction, I wish this philosophy was the cure because if it was then I'd be a lot more successful in my life
This comment hurts because none of us knew this would be coming 😢
It's funny his channels existence represents his philosophy. Generally being a Minecraft UA-camr is a bad idea but there are some great ones. And he ended up being the greatest one there is. Technoblade never dies.
Heqring techno saying "doctors will take care of me when I get old" had me crying. Rest in peace, legend.
Lol when he says he's a math nerd, and then proves it four years later while playing Minecraft skyblock. His content is still amazing❤️
I’ve always been a really anxious person, but after what’s happened to Techno..I think myself and maybe lots of other people need to realize how fast life goes by, how precious it is and to take his philosophy in this video and live it out: take every opportunity you get. Always guess, even if you might get it wrong. I wish I could thank him personally for everything he’s done for me. At least he lived a happy life. Rest well, Techno.
Exactly this happened to me rn. I always looked up on techno and like… i now… like. Noticed how fast time really goes. And how i am still the same as last 5 to 7 years. I am the same. Not in knowledge but looks and way of living ? The same. No way i stay like that. I will go cut my hair, i will go dye it i will go bye new clothes i will start working on my pages and start doing more. At least not for me only but for techno. Me and my friends we like to say how he won god and now looks at us from god’s throne. My friends and i say “ he entertained us all his life, now… it’s our time to entertain him.” And i like that. I was so sad and broken but this ? Gave me hope that i will. Continue. I will do more. And i hope you all too get to feel like this and like. Grow. :”)
"I have a healthy fear of death IRL."
Five years later, 8 hours after making a goodbye video, his fear comes true.
