    Thank you. I have currently one that is plastic, but it has a retractable metal point. I think some where in my art supplies i have one that is all metal.

    I think it bears mention that this construction does not yield a regular polygon. The first two edges added are off by about 0.37 degrees, and the remaining two will be off by a comparable amount. Your Pentagon 2 construction on the other hand is exact.

    Do you have any suggestion on how to keep the compass point from sliding when drawing with it? I find this to be my hardest thing to deal with.

    (and don't use those cheap plastic compasses - they're very inaccurate.)
