  • What can we learn from running every day? We challenged The Running Channel presenter Anna to run every day for 30 days and document what she learned from it.

i'm 62 years old and i started running 6 miles everyday since July 2019. I lost weight and my blood pressure is at 110/70. It is now a routine for me. i wake up at 4:20 am, get ready and hit the sports complex and complete my run at 6:00 a.m. I then drive back home (10 minutes) get ready and off to work.

I find when I don't want to go on a run, I just go out and walk for 5-10 minutes and by then I usually find I'm ready to run

Well done Anna. I am a barefoot streaker, currently on streak day 324, having started on 1st Jan this year. My personal rules are simple - a minimum of 5km outdoors (no treadmills) every day. I have loved it, although it has not always been easy. Work commitments have seen me up as early as 3:30am for a run, and on holiday I had one run where the temperature was 106 degrees F / 41 degrees C. Heavy hail one one of my long runs was also fun! 2,500km run this year so far. Keep on streaking!

I only rest for about two weeks after my last marathon of the year. Every other day I run. And it is amazing to see how my body and mind transforms when there are absolutely no days off. It is another level.

I use dryfit stuff and hose it off in the shower as soon as I'm done. Keeps me from doing laundry constantly, dries overnight.

You cheered me up watching this. Even when you were tired, you kept going, and for anyone who had considered this type of challenge, I think this upload would have been the perfect motivational tool. This is what UA-cam is about for me, sharing positivity, between generations.

For cycling I call the most difficult part of the ride (not the start, not the end, not the big mega stupid hill in the middle), but the very beginning; bed to shed. Once you've overcome that, you're sorted no matter what the workout throws at you

Today's run was 3 years and 95 days for my streak. My minimum is 1 mile which I do twice a week. There have been some serious tough days. A couple of things keep me focused.

Oh no! I can’t use rain as my excuse to not run anymore! Lol. Thanks for this. It’s fun seeing your runs and inspiring seeing your commitment

Ahh, the ole running in the rain to feel like a bad-ass. It works every time and, scientifically speaking, running in the rain counts for double the mileage. And now you know! 💪🏼🏃🏻‍♂️☔️

Thank you so much for this! After 4 years of not running, I am struggling to even do a sub 14 minute 1.5 mile run. This video motivates me to at least strive to run every other day knowing that there are people such as yourself that can withstand running 100+ miles a month! Outstanding! Subscribed!
