Anyone still loving/jamming Transit in 2021?? Monumental band for me and my formative years. So much love for these guys. Sad that Tim passed so young. RIP
Whenever bands record for the Waiting Room, they do use slight pitch correction to make a mp3 quality set. If you want a better example of it, watch Man Overboard's set of it.
I mean there's a little auto tune, but for this style of music and for the clean quality they want I don't think that should really deter from how you listen or enjoy it. It's not pure auto tune, it's just to soften up the flat notes. Still good stuff everyone.
I know this comment is super old, but its funny because I saw that on the bass drum and thought it was cool. Then the next video was panda studios The Story So Far and one of them was wearing the same shirt
Let's get something really clear: there are NO Auto-Tuned vocals in any of these performances. Auto-Tune is what is used by artists like T-Pain, Lil Wayne, etc., giving their vocals that obnoxious robotic quality. There is something entirely different called pitch correction, which is used by some artists in the recording studio when making an album to ensure their voices are as on-pitch as possible. The quality of the vocals in these performances is because they can hear themselves perfectly.
Doing autotune live is pretty tough... Too much background noise that gets pitch shifted too. No autotune here unless they spent a LOT of time on it, which I doubt.
there is definitely autotune, but it doesn't matter, clearly an amazing singer, Its just to give it that studio edge sound.. great tune. drummer is shit hot.
To be honest, I personally did not notice a thing, and i've been an audio engineer for a solid 3 years now. After i read this I literally tried to listen for what you were talking about, but i really doubt they Patched an insert in just to use a dynamic effect, that seems rather stupid. Especially during live sound, Maybe in a studio when youre mixing, and fixing, but not this. You're talking out of your ass.
People obviously don't know what they're talking about. There's no auto tune, some people can actually sing lol. I've been mixing for 2 years and you guys are confusing auto tune with talent.
There is definitely some pitch correction going on here. If you watch other waiting room sessions it is more noticeable each time. Not sure why that dude got so many downvotes..
funny thing is that if they didn't use it, it would have probably sounded much better. i love when they genuinely go a bit out of tune, i'm slightly disappointed
it bugs me so much that Joe never sings what he writes. like its cool that he's being creative but when youre doing a live recording like this, try to sing on key.
Andrew Buchanan dude musicians are human just like everyone else. On tour especially, emotions can be running high. Sometimes they just want to be alone or away from everything. I think this was the case, cuz Joe is a stand up guy.
Andrew Buchanan joe b's a great guy. I spent like an hour talking to him after a show, and gave him advice on how to talk to a girl that was there lmao. I'm friends with him on FB - promise, you must've caught him on a bad day or got the wrong impression.

I started 2021 listening to Transit everyday, especially Long Lost friends, whilst hanging out with old folks from 8 years ago
yeah dude, discovered em back in 2010 and listened ever since, love transit. RIP Tim
still loving and jamming transit in 2024
Shout out 2024
Still loving them in 2024
RIP, Tim 💔 thanks for everything.
Rest In Power Tim, You've got me through a lot of shit when I was younger.
tim landers forever
RIP Tim..❤️
That “saying goodbye” at 1:24 gives me the mad chills and makes me almost laugh and also cry. Fucking great.
miss them
This is my FAVOURITE VERSION of this song, I've been looking for AGES.
Joe's (the lead singer) voice is very smooth, and the second vocalist adds like a rough undertone to it. It sounds great live :)
I love the backing singers voice!
R.I.P 🙏🏽
The quality of this is so good, I actually thought I was playing the album on my iTunes for a second.
that deja entendu tattoo!!! love it
Can't get enough of these guys lately.
RIP Tim🥀
Tim Landers forever. Transit forever

Favorite band

i think that too! i was so shocked to see it!
Sooo good!
Everything about this is perfect!
You should get Forever Came Calling in here
Anyone know what kind of Telecaster that is? So sick
+Matt Price It's Telecaster '72 Custom.
TRANSIT RULEZ
So Good!!!
RIP Tim. He sounds great here.
definitely
Where can I get that snail-ish shirt the guitarist is wearing??
I know this comment is super old, but its funny because I saw that on the bass drum and thought it was cool. Then the next video was panda studios The Story So Far and one of them was wearing the same shirt
Great video! Let's see Turnover at the Waiting Room.
Most live studio sessions use pitch correction...
rip Tim :(

Of course there's pitch correction, very few artists record without it. I didn't think it was that bad personally and this is a tight performance
does the guitarist have a Deja Entendu tattoo?
Can someone tell me the tracklist of this performance?
Thank you!
Rip Tim landers that jit
He is such a cute dude. He is like that live, he's got a very different posture when playing drums, really nice guy though.
Doing autotune live is pretty tough... Too much background noise that gets pitch shifted too. No autotune here unless they spent a LOT of time on it, which I doubt.
Tim Landers Forever
there is a lot, but a lot of these live videos have it so its really not a big deal to me
there is definitely autotune, but it doesn't matter, clearly an amazing singer, Its just to give it that studio edge sound.. great tune. drummer is shit hot.
At 1:23 when he sings "saying goodbye" he totally Cartman'd
In this the drummer looks a lot like the drummer from All Time Low, at least to me.

I really don't think people understand what auto tune actually is.
They don’t. I barely do but I don’t pretend I am some expert like a lot of people seem to...
ok at like :25 there is no way that's not pitch correction or auto tune or something...
agreed with ryan, although i love transit!
Jodi Homan Sounds like auto tune with the response adjusted..
People obviously don't know what they're talking about. There's no auto tune, some people can actually sing lol. I've been mixing for 2 years and you guys are confusing auto tune with talent.
I heard Joe had a lot of issues with his vocals before the end of transit though
Still listening in 2020 😂 transit were awesome!
pitch correction is a fancy way of saying auto tune. a vocoder is the machine they talk into.
Shit son thats a lot of arm tattoos
Lmfao @WyattDewitt
Maybe what you're mistaking for auto-tune is just a really talented vocalist who can stay in tune?
The first line was for sure auto-tuned. idk about the rest of the song performance though
he always like hardmoinizing
There is definitely some pitch correction going on here. If you watch other waiting room sessions it is more noticeable each time. Not sure why that dude got so many downvotes..
i hear it too but its not uncommon for artists to do this slightly.
Why! They should've left auto tune out!
No idea why they are using auto tune ruins the raw feel to a vocal track other than that transit kick ass
there's live autotune, it sounds like..in the chorus, it's not a big deal though..
funny thing is that if they didn't use it, it would have probably sounded much better.
i love when they genuinely go a bit out of tune, i'm slightly disappointed
the really apparent tuning at 3:18
What do you mean what is he talking about? I love transit but there is a ridiculous amount of auto tune on these vocals
What's with all the god damn auto tune on the drums?
actually he's right there is auto tune on his vocal track. I am an engineer its very audible.
it bugs me so much that Joe never sings what he writes. like its cool that he's being creative but when youre doing a live recording like this, try to sing on key.
to be fair to the guy, there is some kind of pitch correction on his voice dude.
I love transit, but that's definitely auto tune at 00:26
Absolutely false. That is called a melisma. Look it up, man.
thats honestly just his voice
their drummer is so weird he's like a pug playing drums
after the show i went to, the vocalist was super rude. lost respect for this band. plus, i miss stays the same. just sayin.
Idk man, he super stand off ish. Maybe I caught him in a bad moment.
Andrew Buchanan dude musicians are human just like everyone else. On tour especially, emotions can be running high. Sometimes they just want to be alone or away from everything. I think this was the case, cuz Joe is a stand up guy.

+Andrew Buchanan lol "i dont like his art because he had a bad mood this one time"
+Daniel Mossgrove that sounds awkward af. for him lol
