I made this today for our Father's Day family picnic & it was absolutely delicious for a hot summer afternoon! Though I did make alterations ...instead of chopping up the mint into small pieces I chopped them in half because I don't particularly enjoy getting them stuck in my teeth haha but I still got the mint essence. Also added some chopped up strawberries to the drink. I don't know what it is about melon and berries but it is the ultimate combo! & Lastly I added boba. I LOVE LOVE LOVE boba!
brings back so many memories from when i was little and my grandma used to take care of me, it puts a big smile on my face but now shes resting in heaven,
I have made Agua Fresca before and I actually poured some lime flavored seltzer water to that mix, which makes it even fresher and gives it a nice twist!
I'm watching all of these "Thirsty For..." vids cause all of them are so damn pretty. The colours in this video are beautiful. The drinks are tasty looking too.
I'm 100% mexican and i've only tasted Cucumber-Mint water but this sounds so Good to, The contrast in flavors are refreshing and EXCELENTES for a Hot day
Its pretty much a drink from Mexico and other spanish speaking countries. Mexico does there water with any fruits and some plants you can think of and they are wonderful for the hot heat. My personal fav. is strawberry or coco!
Now I really realize that here in Mexico we have a lot of great food and beverages! / Hasta ahora me doy cuenta que verdaderamente tenemos deliciosa comida y bebidas en mi amado México! Si señor!
How lovely to see sth Polish for next week :) I follow 'Thirsty for...' from very beggining and honestly didn't think you'd find Polish drink to make! Little tip - if you call next recipe 'kompot z rabarbaru z miodem' it will be more accurate, as 'kompot' is type of drink and no one will be moaning that we don't drink rhubarb everyday :D Anyway, my favourite are still Almond Tea and Egg Coffee.
My mom doesn't like solids in her drinks other than ice. I wonder if maybe making a simple syrup with the sugar (probably 1/2 amount than here) and adding the mint to that process might do the trick?
very refreshing drink! perfect for summer, can even make ice pops out of it :D i've never had "agua de sandia" with mint though, i guess it add a cool fresh taste
Agreed but you're also adding three cups of cold water (which was included in the recipe but not the video) which would dilute the sweetness of the watermelon. You're also including some lime juice. IMO the 1/2 cup of sugar should still be okay.
you should make someday “tepache” is a traditional mexican drink, thanks for make this really great videos :) I'm so proud of being mexican btw the music make reminds old memories
I think the mint gives the freshness... ...I live in Mexico ... and I've never tasted watermelon water with mint .... O.O The song reminds me of old Mexican movies xDD
my first idea was vodka. it's pretty "neutral" as a spirit (in my opinion, vodka goes with a lot of things), so you could make it fairly strong :D to stay in the atmophere of the origin of the drink I would suggest a GOOD/decent tequila. just try with a glass of the drink how much tequila tastes nice :) hope I could help a bit
i know! when ever i go into downtown where they have sort of like a giant garage sale every first saturday of the month, i always get this but i never see mint inside them! maybe i should make this with mint o:
wonder, this looks awesome and made think this would be a good cocktail. WHat spirit could we use if we were to make it into a spirit without overpowering the taste?
Made this yesterday. Most refreshing thing I've ever had!!

that's the most beautiful watermelon i have ever seen! my mom always make agua fresca !
The song is by Chava Flores, a great mexican songwriter if anyone was wondering...
You can leave out the mint, but we think it adds a pretty great contrast to the sweetness of the watermelon - even if it isn't 100% traditional :)
So colorful and mesmerizing!
Awww music made me remember my grandparents! Never thought I would hear that here.
This looks delish! Will definitely be making this, but watermelon is already sweet enough in my opinion, so will be omitting the sugar

We had a cantaloupe that wasn't too good plain, so I made agua fresca out of it. It was just amazing.
My mom doesn't like solids in her drinks other than ice. I wonder if maybe making a simple syrup with the sugar (probably 1/2 amount than here) and adding the mint to that process might do the trick?

I HAVE to try this!
Agreed but you're also adding three cups of cold water (which was included in the recipe but not the video) which would dilute the sweetness of the watermelon. You're also including some lime juice.

I think the mint gives the freshness...
...I live in Mexico ... and I've never tasted watermelon water with mint .... O.O

try it with cucumber and some chia seeds, best agua fresca ever.
Salud!

this looks amazingg
Can you make arab mint frozen lemonade? it's super easy and delicious, great for the summer!
Looks damn delicious.
The videos are so well done though!
some of the fructose stay inside the fibres which are removed from the juice, so sugar should be added otherwise it would tastes so watered-down
awesome song for an amazing drink :D love Chava Flores
gonna make this, thank you!
I think I'd rather just eat the watermelon.... I might do this if it wasn't a very tasty watermelon though
that the reason my mother do "fresh water"
Yo soy Boricua! Pa'que tu lo sepas papa! wepa! i love both mariachi and corridos :) by the way Gracias por todos Samuel.
As I come from Brazilian culture, the Caiprinha Cachaca cocktail is made very often. Could you possibly make a video on this amazing drink?
8.5/10 Would definitely make again

this is interesting I make a dish that consists of chopped watermelon lime mint and salt, this is pretty much the same just drink form!
Can you do a video for a Greek beverage?!?!? I'm just starting to learn about my heritage. Thanks!
i like this song
No need to add sugar if you don't add water! This is juice :D And agua de jamaica or tamarindo would be even more Mexican :) yummm
i know! when ever i go into downtown where they have sort of like a giant garage sale every first saturday of the month, i always get this but i never see mint inside them! maybe i should make this with mint o:
wonder, this looks awesome and made think this would be a good cocktail. WHat spirit could we use if we were to make it into a spirit without overpowering the taste?
