These drinks that are made on this channel are so awesome and hip! I love how it's all HD and the way to make it is so simple! Thank-you tastemade for these AMAZING videos!
As a child of two Dominican's, you guys have no idea how high I squeaked when I saw Morir Sonado. It may sound and look weird, but it's so creamy and sweet and yummy. Never met anyone who hated it. Can't want till' next week! :) Meanwhile, the tea looks easy to make. I've only had bubble tea once, but I've always wanted to try it again! :)
In Taiwan, we do sweeten the tapioca pearls; usually the tea goes stronger; and the differences between "pearl" and "boba": it's really the Chinese trick--pearl is the smaller ones and boba bigger. When they first came out in Taiwan, iit was only called "pearl" milk tea.. About a few years ago, some people develop the bigger and smaller ones, that's how the name of "boba" evolves.
Cannot get enough of this stuff, theres a stall in The Arndale shopping centre in manchester that does hot and cold boba in all different flavours, nom nom
you can also try using sweetened condensed milk to replace the fructose and creamer. mix and stir enough sweetened condensed milk in the hot tea for sweeteness/color, then pour over boba and ice for cold tea, or serve as hot milk tea (popular in hong kong)
Seriously how do you guys do this every week? I mean... each video is so pretty and enjoyable and different! Different props, cups, decorations... RESPECT! Lol
The singer, Teresa Teng, was a very popular singer in China and throughout Southeast Asia. Wherever there are Chinese people, the songs of Teresa Teng can be heard.
YAY OMG I LOVE BOBA BUBBLE TEAAAA!!!!! they have a stand that sells boba tea and smoothies as well as ice cream with boba on top in the mall here in Aventura, FL
Have you ever seen the milk tea sold in Taiwan? The tea itself is typically pretty light due to the creamer in it. A lot of the dark color comes from the bubbles (which is usually spooned in with some of the liquid and not strained out like Tastemade did)
You can have it like a milk tea or a lot of times as well people order it as a slushee with some sort of fruit flavour (e.g. banana, watermelon) or other popular root veggies like taro. You can also substitute the tapioca for other kinds of pearls or jellies (e.g. apple or grape jelly) instead if you like
I'm loving all these international beverages! I'm going to attempt this one and the qamar al-din drink. They look so refreshing. I love the way you guys shoot your videos and the awesome music!
No, you have to let the tapioca continue to soak after you turn off the stove. You can boil it until it looks dark, but there will be a hard pellet of uncooked starch in the middle. It's pretty basic procedure for cooking even the more common white pearl tapioca, come on guys, you can do better than this.
looks good but the colour doesn't look right I would suggest using a really strong black tea like when you brew it it should be like coffee and then adding half and half. but I am sure this tasted good
That sounds amazing! I've never been fortunate enough to try the actual fruit itself, only the lychee flavored things. The closest I've come to those are mamon chinos (not sure what they're called in English). They look very similar, but I'm told taste quite different.
add in slightly sweetened vanilla jelly/pudding (not jello) it's the jelly pudding (mango pudding works great depending on the flavor of your drink) instead of the tapioca stuff. use earl grey and it works too.
I would really love to learn how to make the tapioca balls from scratch. I've looked all over the internet and haven't found a clear recipe, if its possible I would be so happy if you made a video showing us how! :)
I work in a boba store and the pearls are very easy to make. A bomb-proof method is to boil the pearls covered for about ~30 minutes, then remove from heat but let them sit in the hot water for another remaining 30. Strain, and then let sit in honey/sugar water mixture. This lets them get especially chewy!
+Lover4kpop I live in Sydney and there are MANY, MANY boba shops here with waaayyyy too many flavor options to choose from. I think having a variety of flavours to choose from is very, very common, much more common than you think.
Thank you for this video. This is the one video request I made a long while back for you, tastemade. Many others requested Bubble Tea aka Boba Tea video, too. Thanks for recoding & uploading this. Have a nice day. :-)
Or if you're lazy like me and live in a country where bubble tea is life, there's probably a shop with a huge variety in a mall nearby. But great video guys!:)
I'm thankful to be going to school within some distance to the Twin Cities, mainly because every time I make a trip up there are always several bubble tea shops in the area to choose from, and they make a great drink! I wish there was one closer to my school: I recently bought a bubble tea from a county fair vendor and it was easy to tell from the blandness of the tapioca pearls that it was just sweet tea and non-dairy creamer with boiled tapioca pearls tossed in. Worst $4 I ever spent.
the original is to use milk tea. But there is way more variety of bubble tea flavors now in bubble tea shops! My favorite is citrus tea with pearl and pineapple jelly. It's cool, refreshing, and plan awesomeness!!.
In Taiwan, this is called "Pearl Milk Tea" ("Zhenzhu Nai Cha" translated). They also do not sweeten the tapioca pearls. They do sweeten the tea to the drinker's preference.
the music in every thirsty for video seems to get more attention than the drink itself lol
this music is so fuckin lit man
Wow...the pot and kettle.....simply elegant and different. Thumbs up!!
Teresa Teng. Voice of an angel.
some beautiful shots in this one. i love the spinning straw tapioca pearl movement, and the colorful straw pan. LOVE!
These drinks that are made on this channel are so awesome and hip!
I love how it's all HD and the way to make it is so simple! Thank-you tastemade for these AMAZING videos!
When I was at six flags in New Jersey...there was a little oriental restaurant and they sold bubble tea and now I can make it!! It's soooo yummy!

Rose milk tea with boba is the best!

I love Tuesdays shows
I think it is! I've seen the recipe online, but haven't had the time to try it.
those crystal clear tea pots are REALLY cool

... i was also wondering.. isn't 1 cup of tapioca kinda excessive for 1 serving?

OMG SHE'S MAKING MORIR SOÑANDO. THAT'S LIKE, MY CHILDHOOD
The slush bubble teas are the best its basically like a milkshake slush with tapioca
Have you ever seen the milk tea sold in Taiwan? The tea itself is typically pretty light due to the creamer in it. A lot of the dark color comes from the bubbles (which is usually spooned in with some of the liquid and not strained out like Tastemade did)
BUBBLE TEA!!!! There is a place here in Chicago called Joy-Yees that makes hundreds of 'bubble teas'. Its so awesome!!!

Love the video. I would just sweeten the tea with the mixture you sweetened the boba as well and i would make the boba softer and chewier

I'll make this using Thai tea, thanks!
love this idea the only thing i would change would be to use the brown sugar mixture the bobas are in to sweeten the tea instead of fructose
I love these videos and the music is amazing :) Thanks for the videos!
