Problems I have with this type of video. Their trespassing on private property, regardless of who it is, it's trespassing and that's against the law. They're taking scripture out of context and trying to take messages out of context without knowing the full story which is also a problem. I believe that I would probably get looked down on because of the house I live in. This video has a selective disdain for wealth in the ministry. The Bible doesn't say to live and squalor or poorly. It also does not say that ministers should do that. And it does say if you tithe you will be blessed. All of the teachings that I've heard in many different churches, if you tithe you will be blessed!

This Morris knows the scriptures in a way that can only happen thru extremely hard work and life long study. I’ve spent my life listening to many teachers. This is not a name it and claim it preacher. This guy expects you to obey God and follow his word. Morris has put the proceeds of his books back into his church. A million dollars is not a lot for a house these days, my parents are farmers in the Midwest and have a million dollar house. This guy has started several prison locations for his churches. I’m figuring you’re an angry or sad person who has a grudge against Pastor Robert. I’ll pray for you. I would move to a gated community if I had people like you lurking around my house too. Pastor Robert Morris is not a celebrity to me. I never thought of him in this manner. He is a faithful servant of God and God opened up the flood gates of heaven over his life because he is a faithful servant of God and obedient to the voice of God.

Sounds like this person needs to listen to the sermons and not focus on Pastor Morris' personal life. How do you know he uses the money from his congregation to buy his properties? Can you prove that's what he does, or are you assuming that's what he does? Even if he does, that's between him and God, it's none of your or anyone else's business. You're the one commenting on my video, maybe you're the one who needs to relax. I'm not obsessing with anything, I'm pointing out heresy as all good believers should. Let's look at Matthew 23. Who was Jesus talking to? He was rebuking the scribes and pharisees, who were by the way, old testament Jews. And notice they weren't taking 10% of their income and giving it to the temple, they were tithing in food. This is real basic. Being that they were old testament Jews, they were required to tithe, this is the old covenant. I understand these are terms that are probably not discussed in the church, but I'm going to simplify it, since pastor Bob ignores these facts. The Jews had a temple, they made animal and food sacrifices and the Levitical tribe received a portion of these tithes. Understand, there is no longer a temple where the spirit of God dwells. If you are a Christian, you are now the temple of God, where the Holy Spirit dwells within you. God no longer dwells in temples or buildings. The fact that you will sit and defend a man who says that we are required by God to tithe is very troubling. The only way you can come up with this type of logic is to listen to a false teacher and not read your bible. I want to reiterate that the new testament church is never commanded to tithe and Paul actually talks to the believers in Corinthians saying this: So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity. Notice the word necessity. The definition is "not required". If you'd like to give to a local church, and support the luxurious living of a pastor, that's your choice, but it is a complete lie to say that the body of Christ is required to tithe to their local church. I truly hope that you seek out these matters. Don't trust any man. Dig into the word of God and examine these things for yourself. We are under a new covenant, a better covenant.

Verse 9 speaks about them being cursed with a curse and then verse 10 says " Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouses". We are no longer sacrificing animals. You should really seek these things out. It is very dangerous to put yourself under the law, and that is what Morris is doing to his people. You are right we should follow Jesus. Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 " Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." Lol, these words are in red so we know it is Jesus.
So Jesus explicitly states that he is not come to abolish the Law, but rather to fulfil it, but then you say we can never keep the law, because no man has been sinless all his life like Jesus Christ. This is why the Bible says the law was used to rather uncover sin and not to make us sin. The Bible also says that we cannot be justified/made righteous by works of the law anymore, but only through faith in Jesus Christ. What then do we abolish the law seeing that we have faith now. No, even Jesus said He did not come to abolish the law. Should we then forsake the ten commandments? And covet our neighbours possessions, steal, kill, should we not honor our parents? What the old testament did was focus on the outer man. The new testament works on the inner man. And what you learn from working on the inner man is that once he improves, so keeping the law also becomes easier. This is why the fruits of the Spirit are long-suffering, meekness, gentleness, faith... They make doing the law easier. Looking back at the question of do we abolish the law Romans 3 answers this, and in verse 31 it says, " Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
What then? I think the law is there to humble ourselves, knowing that I could never ever do anything out of my own strength to reach the righteousness or perfectness of God, as the Bible says all have fallen short of the Glory of God, but through faith in Jesus Christ we are made right with God and have received salvation.
So now we have discovered that the law is still in place, what purpose would it have then? Other than to uncover our sins, I believe it is also there to bless us. Like honour thy mother and thy father that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the Earth, give thy tithes and prove/try the Lord that He will not pour you out a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive, whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord and he will repay him for his deed. What we notice is that the principle remains and surely when these are kept the Lord blesses us beyond measure.
Thus, although we are living by the faith, we should not forsake the Law for in it we find blessings.
Oh, remember God is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow, so if He blessed you for doing something yesterday, tomorrow He will do the same right. So if any man goes through what Job did again will He not do the same for that person?

@@emopalsy That's exactly what Pastor Robert teaches and has done. Do you know how many of his houses and cars he's given away (to needy people)? Last I knew it was 7 houses and at least one hundred cars. And all of the proceeds from his first book, "The Blessed Life," which have sold the most amount of copies (and has revolutionized churches and leaders ways of thinking from being blessed in order to get more for oneself versus using your financial blessing in order to bless other people. He has invested a lot of his time, talent and energy into teaching over the years; why shouldn't he have a nice home that he can spend time with his family or perhaps retire in? He has had 18 other books that have been very successful, so why would he have to extort and manipulate in order to be afford a home like this? I'd bet that almost all of the people who are commenting on this and other videos and articles like this have absolutely no idea who the person is that God is obviously blessing for their hard work, and in Pastor Robert's case, diligent giving of at least 10 percent of everything he makes (faithfully doing it the exact day that he gets paid-- who else goes to this effort to do what they believe is right)? God is obviously blessing this, just like He blessed the patriarchs in the Bible.
If you want success, stop being jealous and judging where you are not qualified to do so, and start following Pastor Robert Morris's teaching (which is according to the Bible and not self-serving picking and choosing like "Prosperity Gospel" preachers do); then you will see God's blessing, too! David and Solomon were the kings of Israel in the lineage of Christ. I used to think ask alexactly what your asking. Acts 4 people gave to the church so people would be without need, not to pay lavish salaries to pastors. Plus the apostles worked for their salaries and only collected money once to help very needy individuals in Jerusalem while commanding the church to imitate them.

@@mgoldy77 The issue really isn't that Robert Morris is wealthy. The true issue is that he's a False Teacher, teaching a False Gospel. In doing so, he is playing with the eternal lives of SO many who believe the non-Biblical things he teaches. I can see the appeal of his false teaching, which does NOT come from God's Word at all, as it purports to gives humans the power to speak words that "make God bless them." What kind of god is Robert Morris really teaching about if humans have any control over this god at all? Morris cherry-picks passages from the Bible (usually ones taken far out of context from the Old Testament), then twists them to fit his narrative. As a result, he teaches that if you don't tithe, you're cursed and if you do tithe, it's because God needs your tithe so that he "can" bless you. The one true God of the Bible doesn't NEED anything from humans and if he did, why would any human worship Him? Morris also has declared that he's an Apostle (something that ended with the death of the original apostles in the New Testament of the Bible) and that he can and does receive revelations from God. Morris ADDS TO THE BIBLE and that is clearly not Biblical. The Bible clearly lays out the requirements to be an apostle and Morris cannot meet it (nor can any other person after the original Apostles in the New Testament). Original Apostles (the only real ones) had to have personally followed Jesus throughout his earthly ministry, be hand-picked in person by Jesus before his resurrection, and had to have witnessed Christ after his resurrection. There is no way around those requirements, so why does Morris believe that he could possibly qualify as an Apostle? He uses lots of truth, but with so much poison mixed in that unless you study God's Word (and not The Passion Translation, which is sadly an interpretation by another heretic), it would be nearly impossible to discern whether he's teaching God's Word or distorting it. I don't look down on anyone for believing what he teaches...they're caught up in a quite-convincing lie and it's a very slick one at that. My heart just aches to see so many believe what he teaches, and I feel anger that his teaching is all about HIM, in order to make more money so he can profit and get rich off of teaching false information. In the process, he's withholding the TRUE Gospel of Christ, which is that we are ALL sinners and nothing WE can do can make us not sinners in God's eyes. Because of that, God GAVE His son to die in our place (and Christ died willingly at that), so that we can take on Christ's Righteousness. Jesus willingly died for you and for me and conquered death by raising from the dead (not from hell) 3 days later. There is SO much more joy in the real Gospel of Christ than anyone will ever find in the false gospel that teaches them things like "God wants you to be wealthy, prosperous and healthy." None of those lies are true, and none of them are the TRUE Gospel. We have abundant life because of what Jesus did, and it's NOTHING we could ever do, no matter how many times we speak in tongues, no matter how much we give to be blessed, no matter what words we speak positively and hope they'll happen, etc. Abundant life isn't possible apart from Christ, and it's not possible either when you use faith (which is not a "force" as Morris teaches ) to simply twist God's arm to get what you want. I'd love to send you information to help with discerning what God's Word truly says and I hope you understand that this is written out of heart that hurts so deeply to see God's Word convoluted and used to gain wealth for the guy at the top, all while the "sheep" believe everything he says, thus endangering their eternal lives.
@Mary Carroll I agree with you, but also don't want to assume anyone has sinister motives by attending these churches to begin with. Initially, I think they simply go, thinking maybe it's a more contemporary form of worship service and if they aren't a believer, you cannot expect them to have Biblical discernment as one would after salvation, as a result of the Holy Spirit's indwelling and reading of the Scriptures. I don't think we should look down on those that are trapped and fooled by this teaching....we need to show compassion towards them because we could have easily been sitting in their shoes. Our ultimate goal is to share the true Gospel with them, and if we insult them and think poorly of them because they've been fooled, it certainly doesn't leave them open to hearing the Gospel from us, as they'll feel looked down on. I'm simply saying that our first concern should be to share truth with them....not insult them for the fact that they're buying into something that millions and millions of people around the world are also buying into. They aren't encouraged to read the Bible in these churches and if they do, it's often "The Passion Translation", where certain verses are added to or twisted in order to support their version of the Gospel. They need Jesus as much as you and I do, whether they were believers or not when they started going there.

If a person listened to the sermons and Pastor Morris's testimonials that coincide with them a person would come to know he is a true man of God, for the person who presented this video I say this, are you aware Pastor Morris has given away his own home, his car and all his money at once! Woody, it sounds like you're sincere and I've got to be upfront with you, I see much manipulation through Morris. Him speaking about giving away houses, cars, and being the secret man who gave away 100 dollar bills for years, is not biblical. Jesus said to do your charitable giving in secret, and not to let your left know what your right hand is doing. I know it's hard to believe this if you like him, but these are manipulation tactics to manipulation the congregation into giving. It's like the internet ads "how I made my million, and now I want to share it with you!" Jesus and the apostles never boasted about their giving, and this should be a red flag to you. In 2nd Thessalonians chapter 3 Paul warns that in the last days men would be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters. I know this sounds like a hard pill to swallow, but Godly men who are sold out for Jesus don't heap up treasure on this earth. You may think that his house is modest, but easily from the land to the build it's $3-4 million. Fran you probably don’t know this...but tithing was a command for the nation of Israel. We are not under the law, but if you put yourself under the law you are guilty of all of the law. We can give 10 %15% or 0...it is no longer a command. Jesus said true religion is to give to widows and orphans in their time of need...not greedy pastors like Robert Morris.

Attended Gateway Church back in 2014 as a newlywed. God was heavily convicting me to tithe after I asked him how can we put God first in our marriage. It didn’t make sense to me.. I told God that if he was really serious about that he will need to tell my very frugal husband about what he just told me. The following Sunday we attended Gateway Church and Ps Robert was preaching about The Principle of First from his Blessed Life series.. The rest was his story (His story) almost 10 yrs later by the Lord’s mercy and grace we have been obedient to that call. We live in a $900k+ home and mortgage almost paid off.. 2 small kids 3yo and 6yo, we are healthy, happy, our marriage and careers are thriving.. We are living the blessed life. We know all of that was because we were obedient to the Lord’s call.. He used Ps Robert to open our minds and our hearts and the principle that this Pastor taught us back in 2014 will be carried on from us to our kids’ and the generation to come!! God bless Ps. Robert he deserves all the good things this life has to offer! Praying for more blessings to be upon you and your family!
Are you sure God was convicting you to tithe, or it was your own decision?
In Old Testament times tithing was a commandment, no longer required now.
Tithing in itself is not wrong but if you think it guarantees a successful and problem free life, you unknowingly cheapen the Grace and Mercy that Christ freely gave out of love for us, by willingly going to the cross, we "deserve" nothing.
God neither needs or requires a tithe only our love and belief that Christ is the His Son and through Him have ever lasting life.
It smacks of trying to put God in your debt.
I've witnessed fellow Christians balled up in anguish and fear when they were unable to meet their tithe because of financial hardship, so fearful that God would withhold His love and support. Keep in mind, this money didn't fall from trees. This man has used clever extortion techniques, telling people that if they are not tithing, they are robbing God, if they're not tithing their finances are cursed, if they're not tithing they're opening the door to demons. Interesting UA-cam video. I’ve been attending this church for awhile and Pastor Robert is spot on and seems like a good person. I haven’t heard any Joel Osteen-style prosperity preaching. And this house isn’t what I’d call extravagant. I live in Dallas and know quite a few people that have houses this size with a pool and around this price range. Two of my children included. They worked hard through education and their jobs, and I believe Pastor Robert did as well? Finally, not sure if scripture says that pastors have to limit their home size or wealth to a certain amount? Hard work is typically what does it. I grew up poor and was homeless at one time. I worked hard to have a good education and career and so have my children. His salary is $350 k which is good…but I know many people in high level LEADERSHIP jobs, such as physicians, CEOs, or lawyers, who make more. It seems like you put a lot of effort and time into obtaining video of the inside and outside of his home. Since you seem focused on what others have and you don’t, perhaps you should consider focusing your time on making money for yourself? Just saying….

So, let me get this right.... I have 8 kids, my husband is a very hard worker, we own a custom cabinetry company, we’ve managed by God’s grace to build a 4,700 sq ft home. It wasnt easy, but we really needed it. The Lord called us into the ministry years ago, my husband will become the pastor of a small church in the time ahead. We aren’t paid and won’t be paid by no church for anything. Is it considered a sin that we own a large home? Will it be considered a sin if we decide to keep it or build something bigger to fit our growing family? Will it be a sin if we build our own furniture, in the style and flavor that we like and are used to building? I have prayed for and believe for a 3-5 acre property where all of my children and us will be able to build and live together and grow our own food. Why are you people meddling in these things???? ....My husband came across a very nice mercedes a long time ago. We paid less than $4000 for it. Its worth much more than that. Is it a sin for us to drive it? By the way, i have never personally ridden in it because I am too busy raising kids and helping my husband pay the bills. He drove it twice, but we’re planning to take a much needed vacation, something we haven’t been able to do for about 10 years. We will drive it then.... or we will sell it to pay off some more bills...

And believe me, I have been around enough pastors in high places to let you know they truly think the sheep are dumb, do not be mistaken. Why would a servant of God need such wealth? Jesus doesn’t want us to be poor, if a man can build such a home through work over the years then he is blessed. Robert had given much of his stuff away over his long life, I think your being too hard on him. Look how Prince William lives in extreme wealth yet he probably has a better heart than most people in the world.

A Messenger is he sinning? You were sinning by trespassing on his property. If you have something against your brother you are to go to him and discuss it with him. Have you done that? Have you talked to his church? Perhaps he is doing everything with their complete knowledge. Again I ask you, do you live in a house? WhAt size? How much did it cost? I'm not going to go into how I've denied myself and boast in this. But your defense of these wicked greedy men will land you in the same hell in which they are going. Morris is a wolf, and Jesus warned us about these men, Paul warned us and Peter warned us. You do not take these warnings because you want what they have. You have a greedy heart. The Bible does not say that making money is wrong. In Fact Jesus praises the good steward for his increase in the talents given and rebuked the unfaithful steward for not doing more with the talent he was given. Lynne, you may find this completely shocking but we're not suppose to boast about our giving, see Matthew chapter 6 and 2nd Timothy chapter 3. Boasting is a warning to us. It is certainly not a Christian trait. Morris just like his other wolf buddies, loves to boast and tell about his giving. This is a tactic that charlatans use to manipulate the sheep into giving more money to the church business. It's truly very sad, but he is using manipulation tactics & the good people at Gateway church are too good natured to even see the true wickedness that this charlatan is doing. I would urge you to consider these things. Jesus didn't have a place to lie his head, the apostles and disciples didn't take from the sheep & buy mansions etc etc
@@amessenger5924 actually, he was teaching on giving: "the Blessed Life" and he used it as a teaching tool and as a way to show he wasn't just teaching this, but he lives it.

@@lynnegerami3228 I've heard him speak about his generous giving on multiple occasions, even calling himself an "extravagant giver" Just a few weeks ago he was talking about the man who handed out $100 dollar bills, and admitted that he is that "generous man". This is boasting by anyone's standards. This is exactly what Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn do, it's no different. By the way, king David had multiple wives, killed thousands of people and had a son Solomon who built temples to foreign gods. They are not who we are supposed to be imitating, we are supposed to be followers of Jesus Christ.

Also, Pastor Robert has to say how he gave stuff away and show how God blessed him afterwards, because it's called a testimony and people will learn that way and start obeying God also.
