If you actually study the how to use the katana correctly they teach you to clean the sword after every cut there’s different movements to do it before sheathing it such as taping the lit or swing the blade a certain way

Just finished this game today, absolutely epic. One of the best I've ever played and I've been using playstation with 26 years so that's saying something. Had tears in my eyes at the end. A truly great game

It's called, favoring consistency. I wouldn't have an issue with it if it doesn't include other languages though. I can't believe how awesome this looks. It's so beautiful. It reminds me of a mixture of some of my favorite games of recent years. Witcher III and Assassin's Creed. I always wanted an Assassin's Creed game set in ancient Japan. Looks like this game will satisfy that desire. No question about it, day 1 purchase for me. This and The Last Of Us 2.......man, Sony ROCKS!

The scenery is just.... _wow._ I teared up in awe at the view of the Otsuna Grasslands. I can stare at all this for hours. And the body language--amazing! The way his arm subtly tenses when he says "Enough!" looks so real. Bravo.

Finally the characters dont hover over the ground as they move during combat! God damn this is bloody immersive! And the swordplay is phenomenal! No waste of energy, and proper kendo moves and stances, as well as the batoujutsu right at the start of the fight! TAKE MY MONEY NOW!
How the hell is this phenomenal? Looks like the game only has one sword stance. Way of the Samurai series (not the 4th installment, I recommend the 1st or 3rd) sets the bar high with a branching/open-ended story and unique combat (different stance gives you different combat experience). I doubt this can match it.
Fuddyduddie1 theres 3 sword stances in the gameplay. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal. Probably giving more options on moves depending on the stance. How about you not compare the game to other games and play it first and judge it on how good it is on its own

The thing that makes the immersion just over the top of any AC game is, No menu’s or UI’s on the screen once in game gameplay happens, the transition from cinematic cut scene to actual gameplay flows so flawlessly and makes you really feel like your watching a samurai movie or actually in there yourself, Ubisoft take notes
Personally I find the animation still requires a bit of fleshing out. Don't get me wrong the stances and posture etc... are all spot on, but what it is lacking is weight. A sword fight is fast yes, but sword swings should feel heavy, like a racquet sport or boxing, all swing motions should be from slow to fast and land with a heavy impact on contact. The problem here is the sword speeds are always fast, even when it's a back swing, hence it gives a sense of lack of weight. Of course there's still a lot of time until the game releases, hopefully this is something they will be looking into. Animation and physics is something very difficult to get right and that's where FromSoftware nailed in Bloodborne.
I tend to replay single player games at least a few times depending on how much I enjoy them, and this looks incredible. I don't really play multiplayer games more than a week before I lose interest. it just seems repetitive to me because it has to be consistent to be fair. I've always preferred single player games over multi player
Just did this mission, interesting to see the subtle differences now. The game is still very cinematic, but not nearly to the extent that this first showed. Also looks like they had execution style attacks or something? Guess that didn't make the cut.

FUCKING beautiful- makes me want to upgrade to PS4 Pro just to see it in all it's glory. The part where Jin and Masako are fighting reminds me of the Red Leaves fight scene between Zhiyi Zhang and Maggie Cheung from the movie 'Hero'.

It is definitely a bit harder to learn but don’t be mistaken in thinking it’s completely extinct or very expensive.

How the hell is this phenomenal? Looks like the game only has one sword stance. Way of the Samurai series (not the 4th installment, I recommend the 1st or 3rd) sets the bar high with a branching/open-ended story and unique combat (different stance gives you different combat experience). I doubt this can match it.
Fuddyduddie1 theres 3 sword stances in the gameplay. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal. Probably giving more options on moves depending on the stance. How about you not compare the game to other games and play it first and judge it on how good it is on its own

The thing that makes the immersion just over the top of any AC game is, No menu’s or UI’s on the screen once in game gameplay happens, the transition from cinematic cut scene to actual gameplay flows so flawlessly and makes you really feel like your watching a samurai movie or actually in there yourself, Ubisoft take notes

It looks like witcher 3. Not as complicated as people think it's gonna be.
Personally I find the animation still requires a bit of fleshing out. Don't get me wrong the stances and posture etc... are all spot on, but what it is lacking is weight. A sword fight is fast yes, but sword swings should feel heavy, like a racquet sport or boxing, all swing motions should be from slow to fast and land with a heavy impact on contact. The problem here is the sword speeds are always fast, even when it's a back swing, hence it gives a sense of lack of weight. Of course there's still a lot of time until the game releases, hopefully this is something they will be looking into. Animation and physics is something very difficult to get right and that's where FromSoftware nailed in Bloodborne.

I don't really play multiplayer games more than a week before I lose interest. it just seems repetitive to me because it has to be consistent to be fair. The original end suffering was like a cinematic execution move. The one in the main game is just done on a dying enemy where he stabs them with the tip of his katana.
