We Bought a vacation home here in 1999 when there was no Walmart, hospital, etc. Five and a half years ago Sun City came to Mesquite. We sold our first home and bought our second home in Sun City moving from Colorado. Now there are 900 homes in Sun City ( 2 miles west of Walmart). The hospital is right down the road. Love it. So much to do every day; Vegas, St George, Utah, Zion, Valley of Fire.
So happy to be raised here. It's so beautiful and they areb't bullshitting Zion isn't very far :D.Been there once and dying to go again :).Trust me,you'll love it here :D.
Also, the scenery is spectacular. The mountains turn pinks and purple. There are two movie theaters, 3 big casinos and 3 small casinos. Two good mexican restaurants, An excellent italian restaurant, Walmart, banks. It's just easy living here. You can run all your errands in minutes and have time to do slot tourneys (3 times a week). Bingo at the two casinos is every day. Golf is spectacular. Every weekend there is: Weekends are busy with comedy shows, chili cookoffs, car shows, etc.
I was just there while spending a week in Las Vegas. I still see that then Oasis resort is closed. Are they just closed due to economic matters or did they lose their chips? That is, went out of business?
Seniors love it here. Sun City is a 55 plus community. That means you can be 25 and married to a 55 year old and still live here! We have people in their 40's living here. A lot of people in Sun City that bought small homes 5-6 years ago have moved up to bigger homes. They ended up selling their primary homes in different states to settle here.
Finally, Sun City has a 32,000 square foot recreation center. Large indoor pool w/hot tub, outdoor pool w/2 hot tubs. Large meeting hall. Large card/game room. Upstairs walking track with ping pong, pool room, aerobics room, weight lifting/workout room with many machines. There are 12 model homes to tour next to the rec center.
As a Brit wanting to go to Nevada I simply cant understand why every single Nevada tourism video has to have Las Vegas in it. It's such a disappointment. After all Las Vegas from what I've heard is the end of the world and hideous abmoniation of mankind
Well, Brit wanting to visit Nevada, I hope you have made a trip to the states finally. Hopefully you spent time in the northern Nevada area, Lake Tahoe and Reno NV are far nicer than LV
I lived there for 3 years and it is a nice little town with alot to do and a friendly atmosphere.

How much is that home worth nowadays if you don’t mind my asking?
Looks amazing. Will check out there instead of Parump for a property.

Be careful while in Mesquite Nevada. The main business seems to be not tourism, but traffic citations.Fly over is highly recommended!

Golf in Mesquite is constantly providing additional reasons to love the game. Golf Mesquite Nevada. com has great golf packages.
