The juxtaposition between the terrifying, brutal sound and image of Slaughter To Prevail and the incredibly nice, wholesome nature of the band and their interactions with fans will never cease to make me laugh and smile. There was even one point where Alex Terrible stopped a show because a girl got hurt in the mosh pit and he wanted people to make sure she was okay before continuing on with the show.

For sure. I'm the guy who posted the video. The girl had a seizure (she had a history of seizures) There was an ER nurse nearby who checked her out. She was just fine and got to finish watching the show from the side with her fiance
Most bands are incredibly protective of their fanbase. The heavier the band, the more protective. Most mosh pits are actually incredibly safe if you avoid falling and have a friend or family member with you. Make friends with audience members before you go into a pit and you'll have a GREAT time, and you'll get loads of free drinks if you've got moves. It's the microcosm of all of humanity's unrealized primal energies, like baring your soul for strangers to see. It's a beautiful thing, and bands love seeing that energy realized by their music.

Very true! I've only had one bad time in a pit where a guy was going around hitting the women in the pit. I took it upon myself to tackle him and security took him from me and gave him to the police because what he was doing.
@thodin6650 pit story time!! 1998.. Sepultura Against Tour.. Cincinnati Ohio.. Similar story.. There's these punks called The Courage Crew.. They were in the pit and doing bicycle kicks and took a girl down that wasn't even in the pit! I wasn't in until I saw her go down. I went across the floor and knocked the guilty one down! Then lights out, strobe lights during Sep's song Propaganda.. And I saw it in slow motion.. A flying elbow then dark... Then closer.. dark.. then... BAAAM! BROKEN NOSE FROM HELL!! I wasn't knocked down, but was enraged.. Until... I felt the blood.
This song just makes me imagine Alex as a Viking called Alex The Terrible and he would strike primal fear into hordes of men as he sailed to the shore screaming the breakdown of this song. By the time he landed on the shore his enemies would have already been strung about the battlefield, shredded apart as if they were tossed around by a Dragonborn's Fus Ro Dah.

That strikes an actually quite interesting idea... Imagine if (maybe they were, I don't know) some fighters from ancient times were capable of modern metal vocal techniques. They probably would've caused fear in many of their opponents just by screaming at them 😆

Alex Terrible and Will Ramos are literally game changers to the metal scene and I am very happy of what they do. I am also glad that metal always brings up artists that do their thing in a way that changes the whole scene in a good way.

I saw them at the Hangar 1819 Greensboro NC last year, and there was no mosh pit. THE WHOLE PLACE WAS MOSHING! Close to 500 people packed in like sardines turned the whole venue into a circle pit lol!
And yes, Alex can be heard roaring at the back of the house, no mic, over the music. Badass!

Alex's voice is a whole other level, the intro of him is his actual voice he is starting to be able to almost get two sounds at once. As i said before, the most wholesome metal band ever.

I got to see them live for the first time not too long ago AND as a concert photographer I was up in the photo pit beyond the barricade. I had my ticket and meet & greet pass and heard Alex eo sound check while I stood outside the venue. Sound check was insane. M&G was just as wholesome as it could be. They're so chill! They put on one hell of a show from beginning to end. 10/10 would recommend!!

Slaughter to prevail is one of my absolute favorite deathcore bands! Plus they are very good to their fans. There’s been multiple shows where fans have gotten hurt and they stop the show to make sure that person is taken care of. Plus from what I’ve seen their mosh pits are insane but everyone is looking out for each other and also no karate. Alex if you’ve never been in a mosh pit I’d recommend it the feeling is like no other. Plus it’s just a lot of fun!

Bro.... bro..... bro...... I saw them live last year at Blue Ridge Rock Festival and their intensity live is ridiculous. Hands down best performance of the festival for me. Do NOT miss them if they come anywhere near you. Definitely worth going to.
I saw them live about 3 years ago. They were good. Real good! I feel that they are well on their way to holding Metal to a new gold standard. Nu-Metal elements with Deathcore/Death Metal dominance and Black Metal influenced chords and attitude. At 53 years old I have seen them bands come and go. This band could run shit if they keep this up. Bravo once again! Great reaction Alex.

I can say one thing cause I went to the popular monstour recently and they are touring with falling in reverse and they played this song before it was released, and when Alex told us to be quiet and we all did and then he with no music and no mic screamed out "UNSATISFIED PRIMAL FEAR" and was loud enough for people in the back to hear it sent chills all the way up my fucking spine

Definitely listening to more heavy metal music than before. To each his own. My musical tastes have evolved over the years too. Listening to some bands I never thought I would. Some things for me have stayed the same, like Dream Theater, I still love them since their beginning and saw them in concert this year with my daughter, who wasn't even born when I first listened to them in 1986. She is 20 years old now. It was an amazing show, by the way. Anyway, Alex, you take care with that wonderful wife of yours.

I was at their Knoxville show and it was 10/10 the songs, the band, the crowd, the pit, everything was awesome. best metal show I've been too yet Alex! If you look back at the video the guy holding the pit sign was at the knox show as well as a few other scenes. they played this live months ago at that show and said they would be recording shots for the upcoming video. I'am so proud "knowing" Alex the Terrible since he had that emo hair sitting in his room at his parents (I think he lived there) and doing his vocal covers. Man, I experienced his whole evolution, his Vocal Tutorials. I witnessed his whole personality forming. Did you listen to Slaughter To Prevails Live in Moscow Album? You really should mate, his actual live voice is even greater than the mixed one. And even crazier is the story behind this Album. Look up the lyrics and have in mind he stood on the Moscow stage and then STP left Russia. This human being has some of the biggest balls in the music scene. They tried to change him but he changed without them. And this is it. The literal Alexander the Holy Judgement.

Saw them live earlier this month. This song had a freaking wall of death, and I had to quickly hop in and out of the pit, lol. Also, this show made me realize that if it's brutal enough, crowd surfers and pit inititiaters come from all the sides, no fixation on the center, lol. But I loved the show. Energy was insane
i often find that metal bands and musicians are among the nicest folks the kind that will stop their concert midway through a song so one poor shmuck can get up from the ground after getting knocked down in the mosh

Don't know if you're still responding to comments, Alex, but ask Nik if he can hook you up with STP. They just... Randomly called him one day to get him on-stage at a festival show. I'm sure Alex himself would love to get you into a pit for your first time. It's not a terrible experience. Just get a buddy who's been in one or two or ten pits to give you the do's and don'ts and you'll be well taken care of. The pit is a scary experience the first time or two, but it's actually super wholesome. You may get decked once or twice, but once you're out of the pit, those people are buying you drinks and making sure you're okay. It's a brotherhood, and you have to be baptized before you can say you're in.

Don't be scared. My first mosh pit... I'm fortunate enough to say... was Pantera in the 90s. I left with a bloody nose, sprained ankle, and missing a shoe. Meanwhile up in the stands, people were mule kicking the backs of seats out of the floor and hurling them down into the crowd. And it will forever be one of my fondest memories.
