Jack probably had one of the coolest and most badass ways of leaving a party with it giving a unforgettable first impression...
I love the dynamic between Greer and Ryan. I was hesitant about Krasinski playing Ryan, but I think he nailed it. Pumped for S3.
Harrison Ford also did a good job of playing Jack Ryan. A combination of brave and "is this really happening?" His bit on the Fugitive was in a similar vein.
I was excited for it the first time. After watching him in 13 hours, I knew eh could pull it off
Finished binging all 3 seasons. Pumped for S4.
When 13 hours came out I was going, nope, no way in hell Jim would suite that role. I was wrong. My guy nailed it, so when I was getting into this show I knew he was going to be perfect for it.
One of the best scenes ever on season 1. Knowing how to make a dramatic entrance and leaving on a high note. Awesome theme song with it too.

I have to wonder whether Kathy was as surprised as she seemed when she found out later that Jack was working with the CIA. Like, after something like this, you HAVE to think there's more going on than supply chain logistics.

I think Tom’s early stuff - the books he wrote - is great. Still read the later stuff published under his name, but they are not a patch on Tom’s early writings
Jack Ryan Season 1 is one of the best shows ever created. The story, actors, editing - everything is extremely well put together. It deals with complex issues but shows both sides. Entertainment at its best. A pity that Season 2 dropped the ball. Hoping for an improvement in Season 3.
Season 3 is pretty meh too.

Love how super realistic it is too, if your gonna send a Blackhawk to go pick someone up in the states, you wouldn't see an all blacked out chopper, it would be a coast guard chopper to pick him up there's most coast guard stations all over the us, one could be able to pick him up at a moments notice, especially since the coast guard is military, they have military clearances for sensitive information and people

He's more of a guy who gets caught in the action. The action is happening around him. Not exactly the going Commando or Rambo, but more like John McClane, but with less bravado and far more cerebral!
Not continuing this series is a mistake and a sin.... it's one of the best shows TV and theater combined. Please Amazon add more seasons.

This reminded me of how I reported to my warship 2 moths before Desert Storm - I got hoisted down from a CH46 while my ship was running at 25kts intercepting cargo going into Aquaba.

Marie and I are getting ready to binge Season One of Jack Ryan. Thought this for the upcoming season, but was pleasantly surprised. Funny, we are just about to start watching THAT very seen.
Love that we are getting Season Three on December 19th and Season Four next year.
UPDATE - 12/04/2022 - We just finished binging Season 2, also. We are SO ready for Season 3.

@@tipofthespear1 - Yeah, they filmed Jack Ryan Seasons 3 & 4 back to back (two year shoot). So, I would presume they would release them a year apart. Especially since AmazonPrime is doing SO many good TV series.
Jack Ryan, Jack Reacher, The Terminal List, The Boys, The Wheel of Time, The Rings of Power, etc. Need to have a packed release schedule, but nothing to canibalize the previous or the next released show. Cannot complain, that is for sure.

In any other show, they would’ve made this a black helicopter with, I don’t know, CIA agents in sunglasses coming out and I would’ve forgotten it instantly. Because it was the Coast Guard, it’s just so much more real and cool and this is the only thing I remember from season one

It is such a bewildering experience leaving somewhere in a helicopter unexpectedly. Back in mid-1980s I left Lukla, below Mt. Everest, in the then-king's Puma helicopter after it dropped off a team of geologists, and when nothing else was flying in the blanketing clouds. It was such a strange feeling to arrive back in Kathmandu, especially having flown just 100 feet above one of the intervening mountain passes. But John Krasinski carries it off with maximum cool. I was merely bewildered, and followed it with a Star Beer. Star Beer had on the label it was made with German collaboration. Strange phrasing, but fine beer.
