How did you get the red pyramid from the boat without going into the the hatch where the gheists are? Did I miss this part, or does it automatically appear in your inventory after the Dallis fight?
You guess it, it automatically appears in your inventory in act 2. But the gheists are worth a lot of exp so I don't recommend skipping them in a normal playthrough 🙃
In recent speedruns we use undead lizard for a few reasons. But the main reason for using undead is deathfog, and play dead in order to kill Alexander faster at the end of act 1.
I know right I haven't played the game for like 2 years but back then I knew all the tricks, but I still don't understand what he's doing with the bags moving all around the map in combats 😂

Moving objects is 100% an intended mechanic, as well as the use of pyramids to teleport. I understand that some people are not satisfied with the current glitchless, so I'll likely do one soon that bans the use of pyramids/deathfog/ telekenesis.
@@Worldlyy the any% run is amazing, so please don't take my confusion as a negative thing. But the way you catch the pyramid then throw it extremely far away just seems like a glitch. With this game it's very hard to draw a line between glitch and cheesing valid mechanics, so I'm just wondering if there's any official consensus on how to determine what is or isn't a glitch. I have to admit, after finishing my first playthrough in just over 100 hours, when looking up speed runs i didn't expect the glitchless category to be under a couple hours.
Yeah, because telekenesis is something that the developers created with proper scaling based on the skill itself + strength, there is not glitch in that. I checked with the moderators and because there are actually objects that are out of bounds in the game that can only be grabbed with telekenises, so placing the pyramid out of bounds is not against the rules (in act 2 for example) as long as we don't put fane out of bounds it's not considered a glitch.
@@Worldlyy Telekinesis cube throwing from the ground is a potential glitch. When throwing a far-away object further away with... 0 tele and 10 strength => your character stands at 02m and can throw it 10m further using strength. 0 tele and 40 strength => your character stands at 02m and can throw it 30m further using strength. 5 tele and 10 strength => your character stands at 20m and can throw it 20m further using telekinesis + telekinesis. your character stands at 20m and can throw it 30m further using telekinesis + strength. In fact, 5 tele is so broken that I've used it to enter Arx-City from the Arx-Harbor with 10 strength.
It seems like you're confusing exploit with glitch. Using DF barrels is an exploit, using pyramids instead of walking is an exploit, using telekenesis to drop heavy bags on your enemies is an exploit, it may not have been the intended purpose, but it does not go against the rules of the game. Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but you're free to join the speedrun discord if you wish to discuss it with the mods, I was told that this was okay.
It won't let me take the deathfog barrel out of the backpack after the Alexander/worm fight, then when I try to do it later the barrel just breaks and the tooltip doesn't show when I scroll over it either ?
I know it’s meant to be glitchless and the run is great and a good source of inspiration to make honor mode effortless but… those pyramid throws to get to Bloodmoon Island or Arx…. I don’t know if you can consider this legit, you’re not supposed to get this far off the coast on foot, and most of the area around where you put it is red. That’s even more blatant in Arx, where the character is going around underwater, trying to reach a land he’s supposed to be able to go instead of being off limit, which we don’t see in video because the camera is on the pyramid. For Bloodmoon Island I guess it’s not so bad you just have to go around a little bit to teleport from the dock, would cost a minute or two. Arx though I have no clue how to enter fast without having to fight the voidwoken :/
We debaited this run for a while a few months back. The conclusion we came to is that because Larian has placed objects out of bounds that we can't travel to but telekenesis is 100% needed to get, so, as long as any objects placed out of bounds are not done so using any glitch and only by the characters ability, as well as the character never leaving the bounding areas himself, as dictated by the white outlines on the map/minimap, these are not bugs or glitches. so while I 100% agree that it doesn't look "legit", it is in fact legit. only using the parts of the game that devs intended, weather it is in the direction they intended or not is not relevant. as for the "blatant" bit of arx. My character never goes in the water and stays within the bounds as dictated by the map, so I'm not sure what you're referring to. This is also the conclusion we came to as a speedrun community. The next step in making it seem more of a playthrough would be making it a restricted run where some things like bag and pyramids can't be used.
