Look into getting an appliance wheeled board to move your Scan and Cut back and forth on your table. It is a game changer in convenience. Also, lie your screen flat and stand up to do video with an over head camera. Using your mat to pull and push, mucks up the roller mechanism by creating slack and the drawer also comes loose over time, if you use that as well.
This is such a helpful video! I'm definitely a visual learner so this has made me really comfortable with my machine. I realize that I have not ben using my machine to its full capacity!
Thanks for this tutorial!I saw a video where the Copic tips replaced the blends tip .. had to take off the metal band on the Copic tip .. take out blends tip and then push in the Copic tip.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the other tip. My markers were already dried out so I wasn't trying to replace them as much as just trying to use the tips until they were completely worn out. If I ever need to replace them, it is good to know which kind to get and I'm sure Hobby Lobby would probably have those other tips.
I've been on your team since 2019 and I am pretty sure I have viewed everyone of your videos maybe not live but at least in replay. I have never heard you so giddy. I already loved this PP before I even got it but you've really instilled a lot of inspiration today. I also have the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle but making multiples on the SNC is so much faster than dies.
Nola, I think you are probably the only one except ME who has seen all of my videos. LOL. Yes, this is such an awesome kit that you can't help but be giddy. I am so glad I gave you some more inspiration for this already amazing kit. Thanks for your comment.
I haven’t ever thought of this… easier to scan that shape since it’s all the same, and stamp them later! And scanning it first in a dark color instead of a lighter colored ink! What a time saver!
You are very welcome Sue. I have a lot of courses you can check out to really delve more deeply into the ScanNCut. thepaperedchef.com/brother-scanncut-courses
I just got an SDX85S! I'm so excited. I've seen all the tutorials you offer. I can't wait to get going on it. You are right, this kit is amazing. SU hit it out of the park. Lots of goodies. Thank you for showing me how to stretch it out with more flowers.
I can't believe how easily I just made a lot of flowers and leaves following your instructions! You were right, it's hard to quit as it is so easy to do. I have a CM350 and could not resize but that still look great. Thank you so much!!!!
I like your stamp and twist technique too along with all of your other tips especially the scan and cut. I hadn't seen any notifications for a while now and was so happy that this came up! UA-cam unsubscribed me from your channel yet again. Like who gives them permission to do that!!! Thank you for all that you do!
I know right. I get unsubscribed from peeps I follow on FaceBook all of the time and it is so annoying. I am glad you are back. I haven't stopped creating tutorials. It is just that UA-cam seems to flush my peeps once in a while. I am glad you liked my Tips & Tricks.
Kim, what a great tip for the jacked up Blends. I had thrown all of mine away. Now I know I don't have to! Thank you!! Can't wait to cut 17 sunflowers with Scan to Data! You're the best.
I finished my sunflowers, but think I am going to stamp darker in the middle. That's what they really look like, but I already stamped them. I will do a few and see how I like them.
I caught the replay, because I was really late this morning. I think the SnC videos are my favorite thing you do. I also use a template when stamping multiple shapes. The one thing I do different is instead of using card stock as a template, I started using masking paper. That way it sticks down, and can be used a lot. Either way works great.
Thanks Yvonne. I am glad you like these detailed tutorials. They take a long time to prep and I am glad you appreciate it. I used the masking paper with blending brushes a lot but not to for scanning. I will give that a try.
Thanks Linda. So glad you were watching. I am sure you will play with this. I haven't forgotten about your stamps. You can see why I dropped the old kit for this new one.
Not to mention, for Christmas cards, when you make multiples., what a time saver. You can keep the negative space and put it in a stamping platform to line it up perfectly every time, by sliding the cut piece in that negative space. Oh happy day! If you wanted dimension, you could glue a couple of the cut shapes and glue them to the back of your stamped image, also. People do this with the matching dies. Mind, blown!
Oh yes, use this for any occasion when you need to mass produce. You mentioned dimension. It is great to add two together but you also reminded me that we could cut this out with thicker material as well. Thanks Tracylee.
Hi Kim, not matter how many time I watch your videos, I am always learning. Thanks you so much for showing us how to use our SNC machines. Did get this Aug 2022 PP and I am loving this one. Thx Kim.
Such a wonderful video! Great Paper Pumpkin this month and I'll be using your technique to make more sunflowers. In reading the kit directions, they say to double stamp the sunflower outlines. I really like your coloring technique and the twisting effect to add dimension. You never disappoint, Kim.
Thanks Robin, I didn't read the instructions and just kind of invented the techniques as I experimented over time. I can't wait to see how these flowers will look in different colors. First things first. Get my kit made.
You are an amazing instructor. I've learn so much from your videos, for that I love you. In my opinion your the best,. You make it so easy to follow your instructions. I've search your videos, Can you tell me if you made a Tips & Tricks with the inkjet Printable Iron-On Heat Transfer vinyl ? Thanks so much for all your Tutorials.
Thanks so much for your comment. I have not created a video on that particular type of vinyl but I have a lot of tutorials on personalizing with vinyl on my channel. I appreciate you watching.
I love watching your vids! Thank you for showing us how to do the things you can do. Your so helpful! Can you please tell me where you find the tiny tic tags? I've looked for those forever. Thanks again, Carole
Hi Kim , I stamp mine with crush curry and my cutter didn’t recognize it , cause it was to light , I guess I better do it like you 😢thanks Frenchie ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Joy, honestly, you can but why would you want to? Just use the stencil. Otherwise, you are going to have to worry about the acetate sticking really well while it tries to cut out all of those shapes. Sounds like too much work when you have the stencil already. Use the ScanNCut to create an entirely new stencil with other shapes or larger shapes. Here is a tutorial I created on making stencils. ua-cam.com/video/5iL-_RATVKA/v-deo.html
Can you explain why the cutting blade depth on my Cm350 reduces to 0 during the cutting process, therefore my cuttings are never complete. I took the blade cover off and cleaned it as you mentioned above, and even cleaned the blade itself with a ball of aluminum foil, but it is still not cutting properly. Thank you.
It is not a matter of easier or best. They are different machines and both do different things. It is all a matter of the types of projects you want to create. The best feature about the ScanNCut is the build in scanner. Both machines cut SVG files you can import. This is the one I used here. Brother ScanNCut SDX125E: amzn.to/3BfdUI2

You can resize in Scan to Cut Data but your can't create the extra offset lines with that model. I love that model too. Thanks for watching Donna.

I love watching your vids! Thank you for showing us how to do the things you can do. Your so helpful! Can you please tell me where you find the tiny tic tags? I've looked for those forever. Thanks again, Carole
I used to get the Mini Tic Tacs in airports and when I lived on Guam. I have a lot and use them inside of tag treats, etc.
Hi Kim , I stamp mine with crush curry and my cutter didn’t recognize it , cause it was to light , I guess I better do it like you 😢thanks Frenchie ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Oh yes, use Soft Suede for contrast. The yellow will not get picked up. Thanks for watching Frenchie.
This is awesome, I have this kit, my favourite! Is there a way to download, save and cut out the honeycomb piece on acetate to use as a stencil?

Oh no. Try pulling them apart. Maybe they got stuck together. They are very thin. Also, you can use one as a stencil for cool card backgrounds.
