Keep doing you and block those that don't share positivity in the wax community. There are plenty of other channels they can follow and watch, if they like drama. Sadly, our society has become overly sensitive and hateful.

I don’t even know where to start but thank you for this video. I am an introvert that started a channel to talk about wax. Like many of us we have busy lives. Making videos takes me a lot of time. I have been monetized and can tell you that what one makes is chump change and no one here is doing it for the money. 😂 I certainly don’t spend my hard earned money to buy scents I’m not going to like. I’m very intentional with the blends that I buy, it’s my money and most of my haul videos (especially smaller vendors) our my lowest viewed videos. It’s definitely not for views. 😂 That’s ridiculous. Doesn’t make sense to me “hype” up a vendor where as you said we don’t get paid, we don’t get any special discounts for personal use, we don’t get things shipped to us faster and honestly would take away from the integrity I live by. As you said, there were several of us UA-camrs that were the last to get their order from Teddy Bee’s. This last Second & Spruce order I was one of the first but the preorder before that I was second to last. Think about it if you have HUNDREDS of orders to fulfill would you be hunting around for names. I think that would slow me down tremendously when I’d be stressed about shipping everything out to meet my promised TAT. Anyway I feel like I’m starting to go on a rant. You got me all fired up. Ha ha. All this to say I couldn’t click fast enough on this video. Thanks for showing the other side and clearing the air.

I feel like the assumption that wax UA-camrs never dislike anything is completely untrue. If they watch any of our empties that’s obviously not the case. I post hauls to share my excitement and when I’m overwhelmed I put it away 😅
I think people need to learn the difference between liking everything and being open minded. I’ve had plenty of sweet tooth scents wax put in the “let me warm it and see category”. Sometimes it’s a surprise hit and sometimes it’s not. I had a UA-camr review my wax in such a rude and childish way that it really hurt. I’m grateful most are at the very least willing to try something they are unsure about. Honestly I think people just like to nitpick and will hunt to find something to complain about about your channels. It’s so unfair, in my opinion 💜

Thank you for making this video a perfect example is people saying that UA-camrs get preferential treatment from vendors. A perfect example is a video that you made where you got a damaged poorly packed package like many of us did. So you didn't get preferential treatment from that vendor at all.
😂 My number 1 assumption that I’m almost 100% sure is wrong is that my fav wax UA-camrs would be my perfect IRL cubical mates. 😂 I love listening to UA-cam videos while I work it helps me focus. I loved this video so much!!! I am a Huge Fan girl and I am on You Tube daily just to see the hauls, warm reviews, friend mail, life updates..whatever you choose to put out there I watch it!! I have never felt shunned by any wax person, you all are the kindest most open community I have been around. Some days I can't keep up with everyone but I love just sitting down with a coffee and doing my wax research/wish lists. This is a passion!! We buy and melt wax because we love it, it makes us feel happy, and in my real life, I have no one to share this love of wax with. Some people just try to bring others down, how sad is that? What makes friend mail so fun to me is listening to sheer joy the mailers bring because they are personal. That can’t be contrived it has to come from the heart. Stay inspired. ❤
I assume wax UA-camrs are obsessed with wax like I am 😂. I watch so many videos because I don’t have any friends or family that like wax as much as I do. Not something I assume but I have noticed that people who are more shy in real life or introverts start a UA-cam channel which I think is fantastic
Yes, being negative and bashing a vendor/people is so unprofessional. And 💯 on buying a scent you like is what we do...and I do always say if it's a wax I bought that's a wild card especially if I end up not liking it. That's on me to be honest about the scent not being what I would normally get AND not bash the vendor...ugh....

That’s why the word is called assumption. One makes an ASS out of themselves when they ASSume things about people. I think some folks watch you tubers videos just to find something to complain or be snarky about. I enjoy watching y’all’s videos because I love melting scented wax. I freaking love it. And I love watching videos with other like minded scent obsessed individuals. Worrying about you tubers receiving preferential treatment from wax vendors is rather childish in my opinion. I’ve seen countless videos from you tubers who have received beat up, busted up boxes, wax thrown everywhere, busted wax lids, etc. So……thinking you tubers receive better packaging is not an accurate representation of the facts! One thing that really, REALLy bugs me and this is in all aspects of life actually, is people worrying about other peoples money, and how they spend it. I don’t give a frogs fat ass how much anyone spends on anything- it’s their money to spend on whatever they want. Who are these people that are tallying up every dollar that people spend?! The IRS!?! 😂😂

This is a very interesting topic! As a Waxtuber myself, I've been hit with a lot of assumptions from various folks over the years (and I've been doing this for quite a long time, now). Such as: 1. I don't get a lot of views on my videos because I'm a guy 2. I don't post hauls all the time, so I must not make a lot of money. I've literally been told "it's obvious you're either broke or live on a fixed income because you don't have massive hauls like other people I've watched and that's very telling lol. Not sure how you have 1300 subscribers; your views certainly don't show it" 3. I lost "brand deals" with candle companies because I don't do candle hauls like I used to What?!! Lol. It baffles me how many people make up such assumptions and I've never been the type to feel the need to explain myself to folks. I'm just like hey, if that's how you feel about me, then so be it lol believe what you want. The assumptions can get very ridiculous. The fact that there's people who think get paid for our videos is quite .... asinine lol. We make these videos simply for the fun of it.

People making bank off of promoting companies but not really being honest or contributing anything of value to society. But people need to realize that wax is niche community and no one is making a living doing YT wax vids lol. It's a hobby and a way to connect with others who like what we like. Probably the only assumptions I make about wax UA-camrs generally speaking (because every channel is different) is that you guys love to monologue and you are OBSESSED with wax. 😂 Depending on the size and frequency of the hauls I also might assume you have a lot of disposable income.
Good morning! This was a great video. I don’t understand how someone can make the assumption that we send friend mail out to leave other people out. Like that makes absolutely no sense to me. I send out friend mail because I love to share my wax and if I come across something in my collection that I know one of my friends will love then I’m going to send it to them ❤ To me it just seems like no matter where we are and what we are talking about there is always gonna be a few people that want to create drama for no reason. That’s the main reason why I don’t have any other social media besides UA-cam cause I don’t have time for the drama 😂

Good morning Summer , l wanted to say l love all of my utubers and everyone can do and buy whatever and as much as they want but l can honestly say being a wax collector for about ten years and yes l could probably start my own channel , but that's a whole different topic, the only thing l find is most of the utubers packing is better more samples and yes it is faster and Summer lam in the preorders within seconds of opening l email all my venders l have no problem with that topic not saying it's any of the utubers fault l owned a business for 22 years and l completely understand how things work and that's how business get more client's you know that your a business woman yourself and l have nothing negative about it great for all the utubers how they are running there channels taking a lot of time out of there lives for one reason or another all lam saying is everyone should be treated equally and with the same respect meaning same packaging , same amount of respect answering questions packaging deliveries before RTS etc, that's the only down fall l have as far as give aways friend mail that's your business , wishing you all the best in the future with your channel.
It's sad you have to make a video even explaining this kind of stuff. Of course, you're only going to buy scents you think or know you'll love and review them? Make it make sense. Of course you're only going to send friend mail to actual friends you've made. Who needs to explain anything to anyone. You're always very sweet. I don't get myself involved in anything. I've loved lavender since I first started in wax. It was a loaf in my first HR Preorder. Lavender Marshmallow. I love that you love lavender so much and find scents I don't know about and want to try.
I’m not sure if this all started with my comment on another you tubers channel asking what we look into vendors?? If so there’s assumptions being made at what was said. I said free wax and that’s a fact, not assumption and when a vendor asks you to try something and sends it, you can’t say anything mean about that. Not about the scent preferences, or that all you tubers get paid. I think the biggest assumption was I was saying my opinion about you, Chris, Stephanie’s or Martha. That’s a huge assumption. I stated facts. It was a post about what we look for in new vendors, not a drama post. I’m sorry if you were confused and thought it was more, but it wasn’t. Now it’s a big deal, in a wax chat people are bashing for unnecessary drama and attention when it really shouldn’t be. Everyone can have an opinion and I said the facts about some . Gifted wax creates a bond with a vendor and a person cannot be totally honest because that wouldn’t be nice, so that’s somewhat unfair to viewers who spend their money on wax that may not be good, nothing about scent preferences, but the overall wax, service and presentation.

I loved this video so much!!! I am a Huge Fan girl and I am on You Tube daily just to see the hauls, warm reviews, friend mail, life updates..whatever you choose to put out there I watch it!! I have never felt shunned by any wax person, you all are the kindest most open community I have been around. Some days I can't keep up with everyone but I love just sitting down with a coffee and doing my wax research/wish lists. This is a passion!! We buy and melt wax because we love it, it makes us feel happy, and in my real life, I have no one to share this love of wax with. Some people just try to bring others down, how sad is that? Oh no. 😢 This is a sad one. I’m so sad you’ve experienced some of these assumptions. I love friend mail videos and round robins. I’ve never been in one but I’ve also never felt excluded. What makes friend mail so fun to me is listening to sheer joy the mailers bring because they are personal. That can’t be contrived it has to come from the heart. Stay inspired. ❤
I assume wax UA-camrs are obsessed with wax like I am 😂. I watch so many videos because I don’t have any friends or family that like wax as much as I do.
Not something I assume but I have noticed that people who are more shy in real life or introverts start a UA-cam channel which I think is fantastic
Yes, being negative and bashing a vendor/people is so unprofessional. And 💯 on buying a scent you like is what we do...and I do always say if it's a wax I bought that's a wild card especially if I end up not liking it. That's on me to be honest about the scent not being what I would normally get AND not bash the vendor...ugh....

That’s why the word is called assumption. One makes an ASS out of themselves when they ASSume things about people. I think some folks watch you tubers videos just to find something to complain or be snarky about. I enjoy watching y’all’s videos because I love melting scented wax. I freaking love it. And I love watching videos with other like minded scent obsessed individuals. Worrying about you tubers receiving preferential treatment from wax vendors is rather childish in my opinion. I’ve seen countless videos from you tubers who have received beat up, busted up boxes, wax thrown everywhere, busted wax lids, etc. So……thinking you tubers receive better packaging is not an accurate representation of the facts! One thing that really, REALLy bugs me and this is in all aspects of life actually, is people worrying about other peoples money, and how they spend it. I don’t give a frogs fat ass how much anyone spends on anything- it’s their money to spend on whatever they want. Who are these people that are tallying up every dollar that people spend?! The IRS!?! 😂😂

UA-camrs work hard. I know a few nor just in this community but others who get burned out and need breaks. I appreciate the content and really enjoy watching and supporting everyone from tiny channels to larger.
This is a very interesting topic! As a Waxtuber myself, I've been hit with a lot of assumptions from various folks over the years (and I've been doing this for quite a long time, now). Such as:
1. I don't get a lot of views on my videos because I'm a guy
2. I don't post hauls all the time, so I must not make a lot of money. I've literally been told "it's obvious you're either broke or live on a fixed income because you don't have massive hauls like other people I've watched and that's very telling lol. Not sure how you have 1300 subscribers; your views certainly don't show it"
3. I lost "brand deals" with candle companies because I don't do candle hauls like I used to
What?!! Lol. It baffles me how many people make up such assumptions and I've never been the type to feel the need to explain myself to folks. I'm just like hey, if that's how you feel about me, then so be it lol believe what you want. The assumptions can get very ridiculous. The fact that there's people who think get paid for our videos is quite .... asinine lol. We make these videos simply for the fun of it.

I feel like a lot of these assumptions are kind of how people think about influencers in general. People making bank off of promoting companies but not really being honest or contributing anything of value to society. But people need to realize that wax is niche community and no one is making a living doing YT wax vids lol. It's a hobby and a way to connect with others who like what we like.
Probably the only assumptions I make about wax UA-camrs generally speaking (because every channel is different) is that you guys love to monologue and you are OBSESSED with wax. 😂 Depending on the size and frequency of the hauls I also might assume you have a lot of disposable income.
Good morning! This was a great video. I don’t understand how someone can make the assumption that we send friend mail out to leave other people out. Like that makes absolutely no sense to me. I send out friend mail because I love to share my wax and if I come across something in my collection that I know one of my friends will love then I’m going to send it to them ❤ To me it just seems like no matter where we are and what we are talking about there is always gonna be a few people that want to create drama for no reason. That’s the main reason why I don’t have any other social media besides UA-cam cause I don’t have time for the drama 😂

It’s just wax lol. I’m glad you made this video though, because these assumptions people have thought of and it’s just nice to clear the air. Especially about the friend mail and round robin. I always was just like “omg I love that people are sharing wax that they think others would like” haha I’d never think anything negative from that 😀 or that it’s a “clique” thing

If I had such assumptions and they were negative, I’d just unsubscribe and go on with my life!! But this wax community is where I’ve met some of the most amazing and beautiful people! Good morning Summer , l wanted to say l love all of my utubers and everyone can do and buy whatever and as much as they want but l can honestly say being a wax collector for about ten years and yes l could probably start my own channel , but that's a whole different topic, the only thing l find is most of the utubers packing is better more samples and yes it is faster and Summer lam in the preorders within seconds of opening l email all my venders l have no problem with that topic not saying it's any of the utubers fault l owned a business for 22 years and l completely understand how things work and that's how business get more client's you know that your a business woman yourself and l have nothing negative about it great for all the utubers how they are running there channels taking a lot of time out of there lives for one reason or another all lam saying is everyone should be treated equally and with the same respect meaning same packaging , same amount of respect answering questions packaging deliveries before RTS etc, that's the only down fall l have as far as give aways friend mail that's your business , wishing you all the best in the future with your channel.
It's sad you have to make a video even explaining this kind of stuff. Of course, you're only going to buy scents you think or know you'll love and review them? Make it make sense. Of course you're only going to send friend mail to actual friends you've made. Who needs to explain anything to anyone. You're always very sweet. I don't get myself involved in anything. I’m not sure if this all started with my comment on another you tubers channel asking what we look into vendors?? If so there’s assumptions being made at what was said. I said free wax and that’s a fact, not assumption and when a vendor asks you to try something and sends it, you can’t say anything mean about that. Not about the scent preferences, or that all you tubers get paid. I think the biggest assumption was I was saying my opinion about you, Chris, Stephanie’s or Martha. That’s a huge assumption. I stated facts. It was a post about what we look for in new vendors, not a drama post. I’m sorry if you were confused and thought it was more, but it wasn’t. Now it’s a big deal, in a wax chat people are bashing for unnecessary drama and attention when it really shouldn’t be. Everyone can have an opinion and I said the facts about some . Gifted wax creates a bond with a vendor and a person cannot be totally honest because that wouldn’t be nice, so that’s somewhat unfair to viewers who spend their money on wax that may not be good, nothing about scent preferences, but the overall wax, service and presentation.
Hi Lori, not at all; this video wasn't the result of any one incident. This was just a collection of all the assumptions that I've experienced in my time on UA-cam. I thought I'd film a video with my experiences and from my perspective. I value honesty and transparency and my hope is this video clarifies some of these assumptions. I think we have to agree to disagree about the not giving honest reviews. For me, it doesn't matter if I'm gifted something or if I purchase it, I'll give my honest review.
