Idk I guess that I mess up on words from time to time, certain sounds coming from background into the recording like my dog barking or a car speeding near my house. But I learned that I can just improve on the next audio book I make. But I guess now the only biggest problem is uploading it’s not uploading and it’s only at 3% upload it’s been almost 6 hours. And I’ve already made the file way smaller than it was before it used to be 2.9 gigabytes and now it’s just 1 gigabyte

I want to make an audiobook for my dad because he is dyslexic. He was waiting for them to make a sequel to a movie but they never did. They only thing out is the comic but he can’t read so I plan to make an audiobook for the comic.

believe it or not, I have managed to listen to more books in the last 2 years than I have read an actual book so I think it is a good thing to make one's book to an audiobook as well. I look forward to getting my book to the shelf before June this year and share with everyone.

I'm currently working on my first book ever, and I had only read the prologue to a friend of mine when he suggested that I make an audio book with myself as a narrator. I'm gonna need to hire a few people to fill in with different voices, but overall, I needed to understand what I might need for it, and this was the first vid I watched. Great stuff! Appreciate your effort and wish you much success! I’m going to a large gathering in five days. I’ve self published one book which did pretty well with a selected audience, but that book is a printed book, and not doing so well. I have a bout three chapters of a current manuscript, and would like to promote the book at this event with an audio sample of it. Then release it as a full audiobook in the very near future. So I’m thinking provide the free sample but then later cell new chapters in a series.. what do you suggest?

Honestly, it's enough to have a decent Headset for about 50-100 bucks and decent software for proper MP3 audio recording for about 10-100 bucks.
How to insert bookmarks and chapters in the audiobook så isteners may start off where they left off and not have to start at the begnning every time?

I have had many people in my family and a few friends tell me that I should write my own autobiography it’s something that I have contemplated for several years. I no longer have a computer but I do have an iPad and my cell phone budget really doesn’t allow me for a computer right now. Typing on an iPad is really not my preference so I was thinking about trying to do either a video book on UA-cam or an audiobook or a podcast. I am just really not too sure which direction to go but I do know that it probably would be better to have it typed out before I do recording for podcast or audiobook. I’m not really sure if the equipment that I have is going to be sufficient for someone starting out. Especially somebody with a very low budget.

I'm in the same boat...I feel, as the author, I can convey the emotions and pacing of the storytelling really well, but I can't do the accents and multiple different voices.

Good question! Yes, this is a thing. Amazon even releases these through audible, they're just "exclusively audiobooks" meaning you can't find a written copy of it anywhere. You'll see these on Audible specifically with this tagged on them: “Only from Audible” - this means "Audible places the “ 'Only from Audible' banner on some of the titles for which we are the exclusive distributors. Note that a title does not need to be an Audible Original or produced by Audible Studios to have the 'Only from Audible'. distinction."
Also, a really good gaming headset works just as well.

Not to publish as your own, no. That would violate copyright.
So here's a question, if I'm making an audiobook can I include visuals? I know the whole purpose of an audiobook is for the audio itself to set the scene with it's audio and sound effects but would adding visuals make an audiobook not an audiobook anymore?
If posting on UA-cam visuals can be a nice option 😀
@@ThatShadeja thank you a ton for your reply, I was fretting about this for such a long time. I can't animate that well so I figured that instead I just draw out as many scene necessary to show what's going on but then thought "wait wouldn't that be making this a cartoon instead of an audiobook?

How long does an audiobook script have to be? Minimum
as long as the book is, honestly. They can be shorter, there are audiobooks only a couple hours long.

Can you just do an audiobook on its own? My writing would be more condusive towards that. Also what about sounds effects?
You technically can, sure. But remember that not everyone likes or will listen to audiobooks - that's why we always tell our authors to do both formats. Sound effects can be used at times, but are more common in fiction. so long as they add to or help clarify, and not take away from the listening experience
Um....Davinci Resolve 16 is a free beta and does a lot between both video and audio files.

Pissed off , everyone says write a book but have never wrote anything that would resemble a book. so no one that I have listened to has any idea of what goes into a draft or outline. or did I miss a part where one plagiarizes others work....so what did I miss maybe a video in itself about this would help others like me that are interested but got no idea on where to start on writing a audio book.
