So how much can you make from self-publishing? There are three main ways to build an income from self-publishing your book:
#1 - Royalties
#2 - Use your book as a lead generator to grow your business
#3 - Book speaking engagements (which in turn sell books)

The video is very useful but, on an unrelated note, this fashion of looking at a camera that is off has been with us for too long, and it is really distracting and pointless...

Oh! Chandler Bolt...the guy I blocked because I was getting dozens of E-Mails a day, from the same guy, all saying the same thing. Awkward...
only a hundred copies a month sold? self-published that's a best-seller. more likely 3 or 4, if you're lucky. you need multiple volumes to build up presence, and have to pay to advertise. then you start breaking even. do not expect to get rich, period. the best bet is to publish multiple volumes then convince others that you know what you are doing, and start your home-publishing advice pyramid scheme.

That's why we're here: to help people learn how to do it in a way that brings in consistent sales. While publishing multiple books does bring in more income (because you have more items for sale), that's not the only way to make it. But thanks for stopping by!

@@hippomancy My experience: I self-published my second nonfiction book 5 years ago. Approached a self-publ. co. for the sake of marketing etc. The book won numerous great reviews by prominent reviewers and several awards. Available on Amazon, of course. Sale less than 100. You get ripped off by self-publ. companies even if you avoid vanity stuff. Curious to know if this school would offer a better way, knowing I'll have to put in a lot of money to all the effort re. marketing, advertisement, and set-up, now that times have changed!
